An Art Deco George V hallmarked silver and blue guilloche enamelled seven piece dressing table set comprising a pair of candlesticks, a hand mirror, a hair brush, a pair of clothes brushes and a circular cut glass jar and cover, also an associated comb, Birmingham 1930. CONDITION REPORT: One of the candlesticks has an area of approximately 1cm x 5mm and a further area of 5mm x 2mm of damage to the enamel to the upper section, the second candlestick has minor small areas of damage to the upper section but a crack and chip to the base. There is some wear and misshaping to the enamel but overall the other pieces are OK apart from some minor surface scratches.

Includes coin purse, mirror and comb. Measures 4 1/4" height x 5 5/8" width x 1 7/8" depth (10.7cm x 14.2cm x 4.7cm). 18 1/2" drop (46.9cm). Total weight of 639 grams.
A late Victorian walnut cased polyphon, the three quarter galleried top above a frieze decorated with glass panel inscribed "Automate á Musique", over an arched panelled door enclosing the movement flanked by half cut turned pilasters raised on a similarly decorated base with single cupboard door to turned feet, together with 20 various discs CONDITION REPORTS Wear and scuffs, various chips and cracks. Large vertical crack to door. Extensive scratching and scuffing to door. Warping and cracking to veneers, particularly extensive to sides, and throughout. Various chips and losses to veneers. Possibly some alterations (see photos). Old woodworm holes and chips and damage to base, and throughout. Colour appears to be reasonably good. The discs vary in condition and include some losses, denting, rusting. Some appear in reasonably good shiny condition, others very rusty and with knocks, dents, losses etc. We can make no guarantees as to whether or not this is complete nor whether it is in working order. One of the discs did play when tried out, although there were various hesitations and clicking and knocking noises so mechanism does appear to require some attention. Some soldering to brass fitment to right of comb. Size of discs approx 62cm.
A late Victorian walnut cased orphenion, the hinged panelled top with incised trumpet and lyre decoration, together with fifteen discs CONDITION REPORTS Is in used condition, colour is quite faded, there is a large split across the top of the box through the centre section running vertically from one side to the other, has knocks and bumps to all edges and corners conducive with age, there is a large slither along the back lower left corner of approx. 5 x 2 cm missing and apporx. half the beading to the right-hand side is missing along bottom edge. Clearly appears to have had some restoration, certainly hinges look like replacements, other areas may well have been replaced - some of the cogs look reasonably new and are probably replacements (see photos). Lid has a small section of damage to the beading on the inner square of approx. 1 x 0.5 cm and there are some other knocks along the edges. Cannot guarantee is in working order. All discs appear to be in very used condition, with some signs of wear and use throughout, with surface scratching, denting etc. Two teeth missing from comb, and some teeth bent. Disc size 34.5cm approx. Disc appeared to play when tried out, but orphenion may require some attention. We can make no guarantees as to whether or not in working order, nor whether complete.
