Playing but with squeeks. Comb intact with some pitting. Case overall in good condition, some edge wear and superficial scratches.

To be used as a guide only. Hair comb misshapen and steel section unpinned at either end. Bangle with some flaking on the inside.
Two Edwardian tortoiseshell hair combs, one with gilt pique decoration, the other plain with a spreading top (2). CONDITION REPORT: Plain half moon comb: tiny nibbles to each side, small pit to underside (not visible from the front) and to the underside of one tooth. Minor surface abrasion. Teeth intact. Piquet comb: some surface dirt and minor abrasion, piquet work intact, teeth intact. No chips or nibbles.

A large Grodner Tal painted wooden doll and baby, German 1820s, finely carved and painted doll with blue eyes, rouged cheeks and elaborately painted black hair with side curls and tuck comb, one ear-ring, long neck to wooden body peg jointed at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees and with red painted shoes, wearing original early cotton print dress with smocked bodice and underclothes, large rare example in exceptionally good clean condition, 18” (46cm) tall, together with her little Grodner Tal doll in original clothes, 3 ¼” (8cm) tall, and a hand written note of provenance, (2 items).
