C.W. Andrews 12 bore side by side hammer gun, serial number 7494, 30inch browned Damascus barrels, quarter and full chokes, 2.5inch chambers, Birmingham proof marks, the rib engraved C.W. Andrews, London, side lock actions finely engraved with scrollwork and maker name, rebounding hammers, Prince of Wales style butt with vacant escutcheon. UK SHOTGUN LICENCE OR RFD REQUIRED. 13.75" LOP The gun is in pleasing general condition showing signs of age and use. The barrels ring when tapped, there is a very light dent visible to the top of the left barrel around the middle of the tube. The barrels are in proof and measure at: .733 right and .734 left against a reproof stamp of .732 each side. The walls measure a minimum of .22 right and .25 left. The bores have some reasonably light pitting patches mainly around the muzzle areas.The barrels are on face and tight on the action with no wobble with the forend removed.The actions function correctly with strong springs.The metal finish to the gun looks to be the original finish, this has worn throughout but there are still traces of the original colour case harden to the action and spots of bluing. The stock is free from splits or repairs, there are occasional scratches and dents from use but nothing defacing. There are some signs of later finish applied around the butt plate area probably due to the stock being reduced in length and the pad being refitted. There is also some newer finish to the thinnest part of the wood at the front of the comb
AYA 10 bore side by side shotgun, serial number 275271, 32inch barrels the rib engraved 3 1/2" Magnum Full and Full, Spanish proof marks, 3.5inch chambers, boxlock ejector action. UK SHOTGUN LICENCE OR RFD REQUIRED.13.75" LOP The gun is in average condition but looks to have had plenty of use. The barrels ring when tapped and there are no dents visible. The barrels are in proof. There is heavy pitting within each bore that is probably too deep to successfully lap out. The blacking to the barrels has some wear, there are some surface scratches and marks, the foresight has been glued back in place. There is a small amount of wobble perceivable with the forend removed. The actions function correctly with snap caps. There is some corrosion to the action face. The stock is free from splits or repairs, there are dents from use, as well as finish wear and varnish loss. There is a filled spot to the comb of the gun.

A late 19th century wooden music box with an inlaid hinged lid opening to reveal a 21cm brass cylinder accompanied by a 70 toothed comb. The cylinder rotates and plays when the handle to the left hand side is lifted. Features a glazed hinged lid internally that is able to be lifted up. Numbered 43614 to the mechanism. Lock to the front of the box. Measuring approx. 13.5cm x 42cm x 18.5cm.
