German Fire Brigade Helmet similar to German Air Force model 1940-1945 (see page 141 History of the German Helmet by Ludwig Baer). The comb has been removed and the helmet is painted black over a red brown undercoat, on the right hand side is the decal for the S A Feldherrnhalle and the one on the left hand side deliberately removed. There is a white strip of tape running horizontally around the base of the crown, impressed into the shell is "Thale" (Eisen-Und Huttenwerke Thale) and other indecipherable letters, complete with liner stamped 58.5 and ink writing presumably referring to the owner

A travelling fitted toilet set, retailed by Asprey, the gold mounts by Mappin and Webb, London 1919 and 1924, the silver-gilt pieces by Asprey and Co, London 1930, comprising: a five-piece gold mounted tortoiseshell dressing table set, including a hand mirror, two hair brushes, two clothes brushes, with foliate pique inlay, plus a comb, and various silver-gilt mounted items with engine turned decoration, including a soap box, a scent bottle, four toilet jars, (one glass body a.f,) a shoe horn, a nail buffer, a nail file, a button hook, a pair of gilt metal scissors and a small crocodile box, in a fitted crocodile case, approx. weight of silver 11oz.
A late 18th / early 19th century travelling shaving set, comprising: six tortoiseshell handles razors with inlaid pique work, a sharpening block, a glass bottle, a pair of scissors, a comb and a later penknife, in a fitted shagreen case, mounted with a silver plaque engraved with an armorial, height 18.2cm. ** The arms are those of Sir Henry Nelthorpe of Scawby Hall, Lincolnshire, who, aged 26, succeeded as 7th baronet in 1799. He married Margaret Duthie of Stirling in 1807 but died childless in 1830.
