A George V silver cigarette box with engraved decoration, raised on four feet (Chester, 1931), together with a cased silver mounted brush and comb set, a silver mug, various silver napkin rings, two silver spoons and a silver bottle coaster CONDITION REPORTS Cigarette case has general tarnishing, knocks and surface scratches conducive with age and use. One leg appears to be squashed as sits unevenly on the table. Mug is slightly mis-shapen and the base has been pushed in. All items have knocks and dings.
Early 20th century AD. A bronze model pheasant-like mythical bird standing with head thrown back; cloison enamel panels to the tail, wings comb and wattle in shades of blue, red, ochre and green; detachable panel to the back and wings with vent to the upper face; screw fixings to the feet. From an old North Country collection; formed between 1970-2000. 3.2 kg, 60cm (24"). Fine condition.
13th-14th century AD. A bronze pilgrim badge of a bird with head turned to peck at a raised wing, modelled in high relief with hatched detailing to the feathers and comb; hook to the reverse. Property of a German collector; acquired in the 1980s and 1990s. 4 grams, 27mm (1"). Very fine condition.
A gentleman's very fine gilt metal mounted coromandel/calamander fitted Dressing Case by Asprey, London (gilt metal labels), the lid opening to reveal a pull down blue velvet covered writing surface and in turn revealing hand held Mirror, Glove Stretchers and ivory Letter Opener/Page Turner, the main interior with a variety of accoutrements including cased ivory Shaving Strop, oval ivory handled Clothes Brush and Hair Brush and upon a stand opening to reveal two ivory handled Cut Throat Razors, the front section with silver mounted glass requisite boxes etc., and a silver mounted Scent/Drinks Decanter, each side having finely cut hobnail pattern, further with ivory Comb and the Tray lifting to reveal lower smaller Tray with a variety of gentleman's requisites including Scissors, Button Hook, miniature Corkscrew, Tweezers etc., the silver mounts with assay marks for London 1870, (a lot of the ivory pieces with conforming armorial crest and monogram, the silver mounts also engraved and matching the hinged lid with the same monogram/armorial crest), 31.5cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Generally very good overall, nothing major
Symphonion: A 7? in. Symphonion disc musical box, with single comb and crank wind, in grained case with floral transfer on lid and internal colour print, with 17 discs in a Symphonion album (spine detached) Motor slightly noisy but plays well, single comb no teeth missing. Discs just over 7 1/2 inch (system couldn't cope with eighth of an inch) Spine detached - means the album is detached (but present)
TWO TRADITIONAL WELSH PIERCED AND CHIP CARVED HAIR COMBS, a pair of lovespoon type pierced and geometrically decorated sugar nips with panel: 'Llanerchymedd', a turned wooden circular small salver. (4) CONDITION REPORT: The larger comb has some losses to 'teeth' although good overall. The smaller comb is generally good, both have wear and tear as expected. Sugar nips good, salver has stains and minor splits.
A Chinese elaborately carved hardstone mirror and assorted vanity accessories, 1920s-30s, comprising: silver mounted green guilloché enamel brush and mirror, 1936; near matching plated atomiser; two etched glass jars with silver mounted lids, 1930-1931; and four purple enamelled combs/brushes (10) CONDITION REPORT: · Chinese mirror has crack across glass. The silvered metal finish has been polished off the handle on the mirror side of the grip. Carved hardstone areas are good. Cabochon stones are all intact. · Etched glass cylindrical large round jars are good condition · 3 piece green enamel pieces are good condition · 2 hair combs and 2 small oval brushes in purple enamel - chip to one comb, one of the brushes with faded and corroded enamel

Imperial German Fire Fighters Helmet circa 1914, black leather pickelhaube style shell with brass comb to the top, two national cockades and brass fire brigade badge to the front. Interior retains the original leather liner, some wear and small section missing to one tongue. Helmet shows wear but still in generally good condition.
WW2 German Factory Fire Guards Helmet, standard black painted civilian style fire helmet with chrome top comb and neck flap. To one side of the helmet is a decal in the form of a P with PFAFF. Two holes to the front of the helmet wear a German Fire Brigade badge would have once been present. Helmet shell is a black over paint with the original red paint showing through underneath in places. Complete with the original civilian pattern liner and chinstrap.

Late 19th century German clock / Polyphon with spring-driven movement, gilt metal dial with bead border and original white chapter ring with Arabic numerals, top mounted Polyphon, in a beech case of architectural form, with applied twisted gilt metal columns and hinged cover with gadrooned decoration and gilt metal handle, opening to reveal the Polyphon movement, on four bun feet, together with five Symphonia discs, 30cm overall height (key present) CONDITION REPORT General overall condition good. Clock movement is clean and appears to be in working order. Gilt metal dial is dirty. Chapter ring is cracked in several places. Polyphon is complete and again appears to be in working order. Comb is slightly worn but not broken. Case is generally good but dirty. Metalwork is tarnished and applied decoration to one corner of top is missing. Some minor damage to case on base below back door
Late Victorian six piece silver and tortoiseshell dressing table set, comprising two pairs brushes, hand mirror and comb with inset silver garland and bow decoration, in a fitted case (Birmingham 1899), maker - C. Bros., mirror 7.5cm overall length CONDITION REPORT General overall condition good. Silver mounts are good, some surface scratching and minor denting. Inlaid decoration is undamaged. Tortoiseshell has no visible damage other than minor surface marks and scratching. Comb is chipped at both ends and some teeth silver inlay has lifted. Hallmarks have some rubbing but clear. Case interior is dirty and tired. Hinge covering and cover struts are broken. Exterior is reasonably good, some scuffing and wear to gold decoration. Fasteners are tarnished, one is damaged. Fall-front hinges very stiff
