There are glaze chips around rim, handle and body. Foot with some large chips. Most of glaze losses are to raised linear decoration. The base has been comb smoothed and almost looks as though it has had an impressed mark although the mark is not legible. The surface is grubby but does not appear to have penetrated the body.The jug is accompanied by four photographs taken when it was found

19th century Harlequin set of four yew wood Windsor chairs, each with comb back, pierced central splat, hooped arms terminating in baluster supports, shaped seat, raised on splayed baluster turned legs united by crinoline stretchers. Condition Report These are 104cm high. One chair is loose. One chair has yew front legs and elm rear legs, possibly old replacements.
dating: 16th Century provenance: Germany, Burgonet in one piece with medium-high comb and twisted border, sharpened brim with Nuremberg mark, repaired cheek-piece. Gorget with front and back plate, with five-plated pauldrons. Heavy, ribbed breast-plate, neck-line and riveted gussest, with well evident and twisted border, three loin-guards; back-plate repaired in the center, provided with culet plate. Fine tassets with seven plates, with a recessed band and twisted borer, the last one with monogram 'VA'. Repaired leather strings, small repairs and defects. height circa 130 cm.
dating: about 1480 provenance: Germany, The skull hammered in one piece, the peak with wide and low comb, ribbed until the end of a long, slightly raised tail; ribbed front part, sharpened and with a wide eyelet. Hemmed border, rows of holes for lining in the center and above the eyelet. Two stamps on the two sides of the tail, probably a Gothic 'S'. length 40.5 cm.
dating: 16th Century provenance: Italy, Skull in one piece with medium-high, twisted comb, sides decorated with curls and bands in bass-relief, decorations continue on the sharpened visor provided with long eye-slots. Visor is ribbed in the center (decorated with notches), provided with ventilation holes and hook for closing, smooth beaver with a hook, all the three parts are decorated with double lines. Riveted nape-and neck-guard plates (neck-guard plates are replaced), with a recessed band and file-roped border. Replaced lateral screws. Holes in the back part and laterally, probably for a plume-holder, wings or ventilation. height 28 cm.
dating: about 1810 provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Smooth skull in tombac, with gilded comb, embossed with plates, front part with Medusa head, black horsehair above, big marmouset in gilded thread on the front peak, with black plumage, the base and brim covered with white leather (small parts missing), monogram 'N' in front (for Napoleon I) on the fur, scaled chinstrap on a rosette, decorated with a five-tip star and on a grained ground. Original plumage on the left side. Internal part with leather and fabric cap. Together with five, gilded buttons with crowned monogram 'N'. height 29.5 cm.
dating: 16th Century provenance: Germany, Closed helmet with skull in one piece with medium comb and twisted border, sharpened visor with eye-slots and ventilation holes, ribbed ventail, sharpened, upper edge with a recessed band, smooth beaver with a hook for ventail and latch for the skull, two plates of neck-guard and one of the nape-guard. Repairs. Two-plated gorget, front and back, the upper one with twisted border (en suite with the breast-plate), and front and back plate; ribbed breast-plate with neck-line and riveted, well evident gussets and twisted borders, holes for the rest, three loin-guards and five-plated tassets; back-plate with twisted borders. Gorget, breast-plate and tassets show the same decorations of the borders. Brassards complete with knuckle-shields with scaled fingers. height circa 107 cm.
dating: 15th-16th Century provenance: Different countries, Italian sallet with skull in one piece with a small comb and hole for plumage. Back part with marks (probably Milan). Restored front and nape-guard plates. Three-plated gorget, front and back. Round breast-plate with neck-line and gussets (riveted) with raised and smooth border, four loin-guards. Back-plate in three, riveted pieces, with deep mark in the upper central part. Fine, long coat of mail with three-quarter arms, composed of iron, riveted rings. Iron, partially grooved vambraces, of modern era. height cm.
dating: 16th Century provenance: Italy, Skull in one piece with medium-high comb and twisted border, sloping brim with border with a recessed band and file-roped edge. Comb engraved with medallions with busts and arms on a grained ground, sided with bands decorated en suite, brim with foliage. A row of brass rivets. Iron plume-holder. Different restores. height 28 cm.
dating: early 17th Century provenance: Piedmont, Skull in two pieces with low comb, double visor with eyebrows, oval eye-slots, nose-piece and mouth, beaver ribbed in the center, neck-plate and loin-guard in one piece with skull sides and beaver, both with recessed border and a row of brass rivets. Small damages. Intact skull without restores. height 26 cm.
dating: 16th Century provenance: Italy, Helmet with skull in two pieces, with a small, twisted comb, sharpened brim with border en suite, basket-visor, ribbed, with eye-slots, smooth beaver, with two hooks, all the pieces decorated with lines, front and back nape-guard. Gorget plate in two pieces. Ribbed breast-plate with neck-line and twisted gussets, loin-guard and tassets of eight plates, the last one with a recessed border. Brassards complete with knuckle-shields, repaired cannon plate. Back-plate with twisted borders, marked 'G' and 'P' (Gioco del Ponte), provided with two lower plates. Replaced leather strings and other small repairs. height 106 cm.
dating: Late 16th Century provenance: Northern Italy, Iron skull, hammered in one piece with low, smooth comb, the skull ribbed in the center until the brim. This last with smooth and hemmed edge. Three, old repairs inside the skull. Mobile cheek-piece with ventilation holes disposed in a rosette. Iron rivets. Nape-guard fixed with two rivets, with smooth, file-roped border the follows on the cheek-piece. height 25 cm.
dating: 17th Century provenance: Poland, Iron skull, in two pieces, with high comb, pointed brim, pierced in the center for nose-piece (missing); five-plated, riveted nape-guard. No cheek-piece. The helmet is decorated with brass plaques, engraved and decorated with beaded bands in bass-relief. The skull with small damages and a crack on the left side, some part of decoration is missing. Small remains of original leather strings, cheek-piece rivets present. height 37 cm.
dating: second quarter of the 17th Century provenance: Europe, Closed helmet with skull in two halves, joined at the comb. Raisable, riveted brim with whole visor (probably later). Rectangular eye-slots with festooned lower border, ventilation holes disposed in a cross, latch with a hook. Beaver with riveted neckguard. Nape-guard en suite. Neck-collar (later) with file-roped and twisted neck-line. Slightly rounded breast-plate. Tassette (antique but not matching) with cusped plates, with knee-cops decorated in relief and hemmed edges. Held by leather strings. Back-plate with large, three-plated culet decorated en suite with tassette. Brassards complete with three-plated pauldrons, hemmed and twisted borders. height 132 cm.
