Polyphon single comb disc music box. Mechanism winds and plays nicely, no broken teeth or rust on comb, starts and stops properly. Its attractive walnut case appears to have its original finish with a few nicks here and there. The top is nicely decorated with raised molding and line carvings. Inside cover has original Polyphon paper insert with cherubs, that shows some water damage. Comes with original winding crank, cabinet key and nine 40,5 cm (16") Polyphon discs. Height: 23 cm. Late 19th century Mandolin & Harp Music Box with 3 Interchangeable 28 cm wide cylinders made by B.A. Bremond Geneva, Switzerland. The music box features a single comb with over 100 teeth, a tune indicator with each cylinder playing 6 tunes and a sound changing attachment. Complete with beautiful and rare aigrette. Inside, leather sweat-band and beige silk lining. Very rare. The Noble Guard was dissolved by Pope Paul VI in 1970. height 51 cm.

French Cavalry Pattern Helmet. A fine quality example by B. FRANCK & SES FILS, AUBERVILLIES numberted 54. The gilt skull, with silvered line edging. To the front a silvered helmet plate embossed with a flaming grenade device. To the left side a silvered plume holder (incorrect plume glued in place) and to the crown, is a silvered metal comb, to each side floral leaf decoration. The front is with a Medusa head looking forward, from the comb a black horse hair brush plume. A pair of lion head embossed circular bosses support a set of leather backed brass chin scales. The interior with leather lining. Overall GC Clean condition. Maker's details to outside rear peak A similar helmet can be seen in Military Headdress By Robert. H. Rankin. Page 70. illustration 117.
