Some larger knocks to outer rims of each item. Comb with large knock to front. Hallmarks with varying degrees but mostly legible. Roman, bronze cockerel brooch, 2nd century AD, 45mm x 18mm x 25mm high, hollow-bodied and three-dimensional with an upturned tail and a wavy comb on its head; crescent-shaped cells along the body still have some blue enamel remaining (cf. Vickery, complete with outer canvas case and even a handle cover, the contents of the dressing set in silver with gold inlay such as mirror, hairbrush, pair of clothes brushes, comb, in the fitted interior together with various cut glass bottles with matching silver and gold covers, and a nice hipflask, some compartments are vacant but otherwise a good set
A Victorian music box with a 8 air movement, with start/stop and change/repeat brass levers, and with a songsheet to the inside of the lid. The songsheet with the number 6987 (also with the name number on the bottom of the case), and in a rosewood and faux rosewood case. Case 51.5cms by 22cms, cylinder 27cms long. *Condition: In working order, has not been used for some years and seems a little slow/clunky, teeth intact with one tip with the very end missing. Comb is a little discoloured/rusty in places, the mechanism could do with some attention.
