VICKERY, purple canvas outer cover with velvet lining embossed with gilt initials J.B, the purple leather case also embossed with some gilt initials, apricot silk lining, fitted with two silver backed brushes, a rectangular silver box with pull off cover, a circular silver flask and a rectangular silver flask, both with screw fitting covers, a glass flask with internal glass stopper with hinged silver cover and collar, a silver framed rectangular easel back mirror and a small tortoiseshell effect comb, makers Charles Fox & Co Ltd, the glass flask marked for John Collard Vickery, London, 1907, all other pieces 1917-1919 (condition: case is in good condition, although some rust/damp spots to outer canvas covering, contents are in good condition but some rubbing to marks, case comes with two keys but lock not working)
A LATE 19TH CENTURY MERMOD ROSEWOOD, SIMULATED ROSEWOOD, EBONISED AND INLAID INTERCHANGABLE CYLINDER MUSIC BOX, the hinged cover inlaid with a goat and flowers, the interior with paper 'Programme' titled 'Ideal Sublime Harmonie' and with shield mark 'M.F. 1840', the Swiss movement playing six airs, on 28.5cm and 29cm cylinders, the comb lacking two teeth, the case with retailers Henry Riley & Sons Birmingham and stamped 9308, case width 71cm x depth 28.5cm x height 20cm, with case key and winding handle (condition: rosewood faded to top, two teeth missing on comb, movement working and playing at time of report, additional cylinders not tried, one rusted on ends) The cylinder in the box is 42.5cm end to end, with playing section end to end is 28.8cm, the other three measure as follows, two are the same 42.5cm, 28.8cm, another is overall 42cm end to end with playing section 28.8cm, the mechanism is working and does play but there are some issues, sounds like an instrument being plucked rather than a lovely sound, the other three cylinders have not been tried

A walnut cased Polyphon music box with twenty disks approx Condition: Plays sporadically, stalls, pauses when playing. Two teeth missing, comb and teeth otherwise appear in good condition. discs: varying condition some appear good, some with rust and warped. Have added several photos, as not a mechanical musical instrument expert cannot comment on speed played at, condition appears good but in definate need of attention.

Victorian mechanical music box playing eight airs, in a rosewood veneered case, with inlaid stringing and central floral and musical instrument cartouche CONDITION REPORT Some general wear to casework but no significant damage. Comb and cylinder appear to be in good order. Release lever seems to be stuck but mechanism plays when manually manipulated - needs attention
A French Brass Adrian Fire Helmet, with raised comb, the brass helmet plate embossed SAPEURS POMPIERS DE SOUPPES over a crowned flaming grenade flanked by laurel and oak leaves, with a plume holder to the side, and with crushed leather liner; three Modern French Kepi, and seven First World War French posters (a.f.) (11). Adrian helmet with small dents to the skull, the chinstrap is broken. Modern kepi are in good condition. Posters are interesting, but the paper is very brittle and there is loss to the corners.
A LECOULTRE MUSICAL BOX Swiss, late 19th century, the 16.5cm pinned cylinder set to a gilded steel bed, the comb impressed 'C.L. / Geneve', playing four airs and flanked by a winding lever to one side, numbered '36542', and stop / start and change / repeat levers to the other, the lid interior with remains of tune sheet, the rosewood case with floral marquetry inlay to the lid, 13cm high, 35cm wide, 17.5cm deep.
Late 19th Century walnut and marquetry Polyphon, probably Schutz Marke, retailed by Douglas & Co, South St, London, the hinged rectangular cover with inlaid rosewood floral panel to centre enclosing printed vignette of children over cast bed-plate and 16.5cm complete comb playing 39.5cm discs, together with six discs, overall 53cm x 48cm x 29cm high Condition: Some damp spotting to hinge cover, internal label is considerably flaked and the name is eligible, general water spotting to body, discs have general wear, sold as seen - **General condition consistent with age

A large sampler by Harriet Bayliss, mid 18th century, worked in fine cross-stitch on linen, with alphabets, numerals, and a verse 'On Industry', with stitched legend beneath 'Harriet Bayliss her work finished in the 10th year of her age June the twenty 4th', surrounded by a variety of pictorial motifs, including a large house, two pairs of male and female figures, each carrying a pitchfork, stags, putti, dogs, birds (including peacocks), trees, stars, butterflies, and flower urns, predominantly in shades of grey, pink, yellow, green, and brown, linen toned and with some minor wear just visible to blank edge, 51.5 x 51.5cm (20.25 x 20.25ins), framed and glazed A large early sampler in good condition. The verse reads: 'The industrious bee extracts from every flower/Its fragrants sweet and mild blaspheme power/Learn hence with greatest care and nicest skill/To take the good and to reject the ill/By her examble[sic] taught enrich thy mind/With native eloquence and sence[sic] refined/Be thou the honey comb in whom may dwell/Each mental sweet nor leave one vacant cell'.
