A George III Scottish silver cased musical box of plain rectangular form with reeded edging and gilt washed interior enclosing the movement (by Redpath & Arnot, Edinburgh 1819), 8.5 cm x 5.4 cm CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear, scuffs and tarnish, some scratches and knocks, some screw fitments missing, interior with some rusting and tarnish, one of the teeth of the comb broken and missing, no key, it is not known whether music box is complete or in working order, please see photos for visual condition of interior, there is a later piece of acetate (removeable) to the interior which is cracked and chipped, hallmarks appear quite clear, lid appears a reasonably snug fit, there is a cement type deposit below the hinge to the interior (see photos)

A collection of 1930s to 40s bridal wear and accessories including a 30s white-on-ivory print on silk bridal gown with train skirt, a 40s Jean Harlow-style silk crepe bridal gown with cathedral-length train skirt, a viscose tulle veil, faux fur white jacket, tulle cathedral-length train with appliqué and tassels, silky ivory stole, bag containing 40s cream lace ruched bodice wedding gown, plus in small bag, five various 40s flower tiaras, an ivory rose tiara, a white floral comb accessory and an iridescent ivory sequin purse. Victorian music box, by Nicole Freres, in an inlaid rosewood case with urn and floral decoration, hinged lid with paper label on underside, movement playing six airs and stamped - 'Nicole Freres A. Geneve', comb 27cm, case 45cm wide CONDITION REPORT Centre of one flower missing on the inlaid lid (see image). Some prongs on the cylinder are missing and bent. Serial no. 27847. Playing on six airs (see image). Overall good condition. Case has been sympathetically restored. The lid is original. The base appears to have been reconstructed using new and old wood. Some pieces possibly stripped and re-stained
An Isle of Pines shell bag, finely woven fibre with bat`s hair and grass tassels, with plaited straps, 24cm wide, with hand written label `A young ladys shell bag.....Isle of Pines, October 10th 1853, Her only article of clothing.` and another handwritten label stating the same and `The Honble Mrs Hope, 78 Glen Park Gardens, S.W,` and Isle of Pines comb, with incised decoration to the front, the reverse with hand written label `Hair comb worn by the Men, Isle of Pines, October 1853,` an Isle of Pines arm ornament of flying fox hair and shells, with handwritten label `Arm ornament worn by the men, Isle of Pines, Octr 1853, Made from the hair of flying fox,` and another handwritten label and section of shell, dated `October 1853.` (4) Provenance: Captain the Hon. Louis Hope (1817 - 1894) and thence by descent.

A 19th Century Musical Automaton of a Seated Man Sewing, dressed in red velvet and grey silk, holding a needle and a piece of material, with composition head, seated on a circular table, raised on a wooden plinth, the base set with a brass barrel and steel comb movement, all under a glass dome, overall height 39cm (needs attention)
Five Waterford glass custard cups and five similar: the former with applied loop handle with scroll terminal the slightly swelling body cut at the base with a band of blazes, 7 cm high, two further of broadly similar form, but without cut decoration and three with loop handles with notched and scroll terminals the footed bell shaped body with comb moulding to the base, circa 1820-30, two of the former and two of the latter cracked. A Waterford mould blown bottle shaped decanter and stopper: the neck applied with two feathered `double` neck rings the body engraved with an arched banner inscribed `The Land We Live In` above a circular panel with the initials `JMcM` and verso with thistle and barley, above a broad band of moulded comb flutes, with a radially ribbed bullseye stopper, 28 cm high, circa 1800-10. Similarly inscribed and shaped decanters are illustrated plate 107, Irish Glass, Phelps Warren * Provenance: Purchased by Priscilla Hull from Somervale Antiques 6th March 1989. Although `JMcM` is believed to be a family member Joseph MacMullen (1755-1819) of Quartertown, County Cork, a Protestant and thus a supporter of `the Union`.
