Exeter, Samuel Kingdon, Halfpenny, 1792, bust of Bishop Blaize three-quarters right dividing date, long wool-comb, rev. arms and supporters, edge PAYABLE AT THE WAREHOUSE OF SAMUEL KINGDON, Ns retrograde, 12.63g/6h (DH 1 bis, and 1990 Addenda, this piece, rectŽ rev. is from a different die to DH 1; Noble I, 72, same dies, different edge). Some rim knocks, otherwise very fine and patinated, of the highest rarity; perhaps only one other specimen of this die-pairing known Provenance: J.A. Bobbe Collection [from Spink August 1996]; bt J.A.B. July 1998
