A Swiss inlaid rosewood musical box, late 19th century, playing a choice of 6 airs via an 11 inch pinned cylinder and steel comb mounted on a brass bed, beneath a glazed cover flanked by crank winding handle numbered 37412 and play/stop and change/repeat levers, the lid with a tune sheet annoted `Mandoline` and numbered 37412 to interior with the trade label of `Imhof & Mukle, Manufacturers, No. 547 Oxford Street, London, WC`, the case with marquetry musical trophy centred line border to exterior cover, the front with conforming borders, 49cm wide.
