A late Victorian Royal Presentation silver combined cigarette case, lighter and vesta by James Samuel Bell & Louis Willmott, London 1898, with a diamond and enamel crowned cypher and inner inscription “Lieut. Col. Douglas Dawson from H. R. H. The Duke of Connaught. 1898”, in a damaged Collingwood case. Provenance: The Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn (Arthur William Patrick Albert; 1850-1942)
An Art Deco 9 carat gold compendium by Alfred Dunhill, hallmarks for London 1931, the canted rectangular case decorated with engine turned bands and plain bevelled edges engraved one side with a centimeter rule (12) the other with inches (4 1/2), with two central hinged covers revealing a cigarette case and an ivory aide memoire, the top right corner with a hinged compartment with a propelling pencil (by S. Mordan & Co., London 1931) and a gold mounted steel folding pen-knife; the top left hand side with a watch, the silvered dial with raised gilt Arabic numerals and a Swiss 17 jewel canted-rectangular movement (the watch housing only with import hallmarks for London 1931 and numbered 22648), the watch within a hinged compartment enclosing a spring loaded twin section stamp holder; the bottom left with a hinged compartment housing a lighter, 12cm x 8cm x 1cm overall. *Schmitt (Harrison). Signed postcard of the Apollo 17 Astronaut moonwalking at Split Rock, c. 1970s, boldly signed in black felt-tip across lighter area of image, printed details to verso, 9 x 14cm. Harrison Schmitt was born in 1935 and became the eleventh man on the moon. He was aboard Apollo 17 and landed on the Moon on 11th December 1972, staying for a record of over 75 hours. (1)

18ct white gold turquoise and diamond oval cluster ring with central oval turquoise cabochon of 18mm x 13mm and surrounded by twenty eight round brilliant cut diamonds (turquoise possibly treated). In general good condition. Stamped '750' to shank-white metal showing some wear and tear. The shank has angular edges and the setting is openwork to reverse. The turquoise has black veining on a relatively pale blue background colour as well as lighter spots of colour and some darker colour swirls to one side. Ring size UK N and 1/2, US 6.75.
Edwardian and late Victorian composite travelling dressing table set, comprising several grooming tools and accessories to include a mirror, cork screw, scissors, button hook, fountain pen nibs, and file each with ornate embossed scroll handles and several glass dressing table jars all encased within a trunk with personal initials E.J.C. (a/f). Various hallmarks London 1899, Birmingham 1876, 1901. The travelling dressing table set is in generally poor condition. The box is extremely battered, the leather is badly stained, scratched, scuffed, and is crumbling away in places with age. The handle and seams of the lid are especially damaged. The hinge is completely broken, leaving the lid is attached by only two pieces of ribbon. The locking clasp of the box is rusty and aged. The interior of the box is badly stained, and although a couple of the pockets are a little dented, the whole of the inside is intact. There are five assorted silver-topped glass bottles and jars, which are in varying states of disrepair. There are notches, scratches, and tarnish to all the lids, and some of the bottles are scratched, chipped, or cracked. Also included inside the pockets of the case are a lighter and an ink well, both of which are in very bad repair. The inkwell especially is really dirty and damaged. Early twentieth century silver cased petrol lighter with spinning wheel flint mechanism inside the case and turning handle to the exterior-rope taper fuse also fixed to the outside of the case. Engraved with the initials 'S.F.C' and '1910'. Only marked with a lion passant and the maker's initials 'A&JZ'-assumed to be A & J Zimmerman of Birmingham. Overall height of the case 5.4cms. Overall with general surface scratches, marks and dints, there are also some patches of tarnishing, unable to determine if the item is in working order or not, or the condition of the mechanism.
An early to mid twentieth century chrome cased gas cigarette lighter with manual wind watch in the front of the case-part of the lighter missing. Overall height of the case 4.9cms. Overall general surface scratches and marks, there are deeper scratches where attempts have been made to undo screws. The face of the watch is quite discoloured and worn, currently in working order, however we do not guarantee the working order or the accuracy of any watches sold. The lighter is not in working order and unable to determine the condition of the mechanism.
