UNITED KINGDOM. Victoria, 1837-1901. Gold half-sovereign, 1887. London. Imperfect J DISH L508. The issues the mint encountered with the Jubilee coins are well documented and were exacerbated by the pressure for the coins to be ready for the Queen's Golden Jubilee on 20 June 1887. Records show that 1,771,425 half-sovereigns were struck in 1887, but only 871,770, less than 50% of the total, were fit for circulation. To improve metal flow silver was included in the alloy, which makes all 1887 London Jubilee head half-sovereigns stand out for their lighter colour. Although this variety is the most common of the 1887 Jubilee head half sovereigns, it is highly sought after due to the fascinating story surrounding the series, recently told by David Iverson and Steve Hill In their publication 'The Jubilee Head Gold Half Sovereign 1887-1893' (Sovereign Rarities, 2019).Crowned and veiled Jubilee bust facing left; JEB on truncation, imperfect J; inscription: VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRIT: REGINA F: D:. / High, crowned and embellished shield-of-arms; date in exergue; BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF:.In secure plastic holder, graded PCGS MS63, certification number 42501327. 2004 Jaguar XJR Transmission: automaticMileage:55794The Jaguar XJ (X350) is a luxury saloon manufactured between 2003-2009 as the third generation of the Jaguar XJ saloon - carrying the internal designation X350. Both the X350 and X358 were available with a six-speed automatic transmission, a range of petrol and diesel engines (V6, V8 and supercharged V8), numerous trim levels - and short wheelbase (2003-2009) or long wheelbase (2005-2009) configurations. The X350 was noted for its advanced electrical systems, self-levelling adaptive air suspension and full aluminium unibody chassis and bodywork, among the first for a mass-produced automobile. The bodyshell was 40 percent lighter and 50 percent stiffer than its predecessor, despite its increased overall size. This superb example was imported from Japan in 2018, is presented in black with a very attractive black/claret leather interior which looks superb, electric sunroof, climate control, adaptive cruise control, premium sound system, electric heated memory seats, electric folding mirrors, rear stereo controls built into central armrest. It is fitted with the powerful and most desirable 4.2 litre Supercharged V8, giving it fantastic performance! 2005 Porsche Porsche 911 / 997 Carrera 2S Convertible Transmission: automaticMileage:49463The driving experience of linking corners whilst sitting behind the wheel of a Porsche is like nothing else on earth. The Stuttgart firm's flagship model, the 911, has evolved over the years reaching new heights of performance and quality each time. The 997-series allied all the technological improvements of its 996-series predecessor; a lighter/stiffer bodyshell, better suspension, four-valve cylinder heads and a superior HVAC system. Available in Carrera or Carrera S guises when launched, the latter boasted a more powerful 3.8 litre engine, sports exhaust, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and 19€ wheels as standard. The 'S' also had Xenon headlights, bigger brakes and red callipers to visually set them apart. This is extremely well presented C2S arrives from just one family owner, father then son, in an extremely attractive colour combination of metallic black paintwork with a black leather interior. The hardtop roof matches the bodywork and the black mohair soft-top is in excellent order. There are alloy wheels all round and, as you would expect, some light day-to-day scuffing and all shod with Michelin Pilot Sport's tyres. The comprehensive history includes numerous service invoices including one this May totalling over £4,000 and a fresh, one-year MoT test certificate. The tombstone seats are electric and combine with the satellite navigation system and Bose sound system to form a completely sound-proof environment with roof on or fun-in-sun, top-down motoring with the soft-top stowed.. 1990 Alpine GTA V6 Turbo Le Mans Transmission: manualMileage:33343The Renault Alpine GTA was produced by the Renault owned French manufacturer Alpine between 1986 and 1991. It was the first car launched by Alpine under Renault ownership (though Alpine had been affiliated with Renault for many years with its earlier models using many Renault parts). It effectively updated the design of its predecessor, the Alpine A310, updating that car's silhouette with modern design features like body-integrated bumpers and a triangular 'C' pillar and with large rear windshield. It used the PRV V6 engine in a rear-engined layout with extensive use of polyester plastics and fibreglass for the body panels making it considerably lighter and quicker than rivals such as the Porsche 944. It was one of the most aerodynamic cars of its time, the normally-aspirated version achieving a world record 0.28 drag co-efficient. The PRV engine, (The PRV engine is a car petrol V6 engine that was developed jointly by Peugeot, Renault and Volvo Cars), in the normally aspirated model was identical to the version used in the Renault 25, a 2,849cc unit producing 160hp. Also available was the turbocharged model which increased the power of the PRV unit to 200hp.A rare sight on British roads, this is one of only 26 UK-market Alpine GTA V6 Le Mans produced, all of the Le Mans made for the UK were burgundy metallic as indeed this one is, with grey velour interior. The rare sports car has been in the same family ownership from new and needs complete recommissioning. It still retains its original built-in mobile phone (not currently working), original spare wheel, original built-in sound system, electric windows and its manual gearbox is mated to the infamous V6 Turbo. As a one owner car from new, this example is really in 'time warp' condition and once recommissioned, we are certain it will still be able to bring a smile to your face when driving it in the way it was supposed to when first built. A rarity which one would not often find! *Please be aware that this car is not suitable to be driven away from the Auction and should be re commissioned prior to driving.
