1880's Long Sleeved eau de Nil Grosgrain Trained Dress, trimmed with a dark purple velvet around the neck, cuffs and pockets, front buttoning to hem with large buttons covered in the same velvet, cream lining; Edwardian Grey Silk Bodice and Matching Skirt, the bodice with front lapels, inner panel with coloured buttons and lace jabot effect high neck, contrasting lighter silk trim, the skirt with applied deep frill and covered button detail, hook and eye fastening to waistband; and Alma Greiff of Malmo Ladies Heavyweight Black Coat and Skirt, with cream flannel petticoat trimmed with machine lace (4)1880's dress - grubby, slightly faded, foxing, underarm staining but intact, lining nibbled, an interesting example. Edwardian 2 piece - skirt in reasonable condition, bodice soiled under arms.
Interesting 19th century fan or face shield constructed of hand coloured cut printed comic figures on a circle of cardboard, wood handle, 21cm circumference, 37cm including handle and a tranformation toy 'Emperor of Austria' with wooden handle, paper sleeve (2). CONDITION REPORT: The lighter patches indicate where there have been pasted images but they are missing o they are curled up revealing pale card underneath.Transformation is in working order. It has a paper sleeve which has no top or bottom, don't know if that is original but I think so. Wooden handle is wormed but solid. Colours are good and fairly bright, gilded paper edging, rather worn and slightly brown. Slight foxing to Emperor of Austria side on right hand side. Torso panel slightly scuffed/bruised on right hand side, edge condition as above. Four of each type, the fan features Alice in Wonderland

CONDITION REPORT: The spout plug is missing, residues of cleaning products throughout, areas of heavy tarnish.

CONDITION REPORT: Dates are in description, volumes appear complete, heavy foxing to all but one volume of 'History of River Thames' (lighter foxing), for overall condition, please refer to photos. The two large volumes have no illustrations and are very foxed and stained.
