ROBERT WEIR ALLAN RSA, RWS, RSW (SCOTTISH 1852-1942) CHILDREN AT MONTROSE Watercolour and gouache, signed, 27 x 44cm (10 1/2 x 17 1/4") Condition Report: On inspection there are three small light horizontal mark lines near the top right corner next to the edge and similar markings, horizontal meeting vertical in proximity to bottom right corner. Ten or so small, slightly lighter than palette markings, in the area of the sky. The paper is slightly wavy in appearance. .

Small diagonal scoring, disruptive to the paper, at middle of lower left quarter section. Noticeable is a group of light foxing marks over and around the area of the signature and to a lighter degree along the left hand edge, in proximity to, and in the lower left corner area.

There is a small slightly abrasive looking area, approx. 1.5 by 0.5cm, where the varnish appears removed leaving the pigment lighter, located bottom left hand quarter section. .
