A silver table lighter in the form of two 'Duelling Frogs', one reeling from a strike to his heart, his broken foil down, the conqueror balanced on one leg his sword aloft, on an oval base embossed and chased with leaves and rocky mounds (the conquerer lacking one hand), London 1878 by William Frederick Williams, mounted a black plinth with a panel inscribed '1895 1920', 24cm long overall (9.5in)
A mid-Victorian Staffordshire pottery hen tureen and cover, the base in the form of a basket and the cover as a chicken roosting on her eggs, the bird basically grey but with feathers coloured in darker shades of brown and black, the basket enamelled in lighter brown, overall length 22.2cm, unmarked, circa 1850-80 (very small chip to rim of basket).
