A pair of gilt brass porcelain and glass storm lamps, with etched glass shades. Height 41.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both shades are in good condition with no damage, repairs or restoration. One shade is much heavier than the other and far thicker glass. They are similar dimensions however it is possible that the lighter one may be a replacement. Both bases are in good order and are simply dusty and dirty.
A pair of porcelain recumbent stags, each with bocage. Height 11 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The left hand stag has the usual chips to some of the flower heads and oak leaves on the bocage. It looks as if two of the flower heads have had restoration. They are yellowed. The left hand antler has a tip missing. There appears to have been some overpainting to the antlers also. The right hand facing ear feels a little soft. There may have been restoration here. The stag with the lighter coloured antlers has had restoration and overpainting to the antlers. The right hand facing ear has been restored. The bocage is in less good condition than the other figure. There does not however appear to have been any restoration.
A set of six Regency mahogany dining chairs, two arm and four single chairs, each with bowed top rail, shaped stiles, drop in seat and sabre legs. CONDITION REPORT: Both armchairs are structurally sound but both have had work. The top splat has been broken away from the upright on one chair and repairs are visible from both the front and back. The seat corner blocks have been replaced and re-glued on both chairs. There are no loose joints and no repairs to the legs. There is evidence of old long gone woodworm in the soft wood on the back rail of one chair. Three of the single chairs are in generally very good condition with no loose joints. One of the three has old long gone woodworm to the soft wood behind the front rail. The fourth has a break to the front of the left hand knee and a crack to the right hand knee. The same chair has a pegged repair to the rear left hand leg. All seats have been recently recovered and are serviceable. Please note that having looked carefully at the chairs three appear to be period and three seem lighter in weight and possibly later. One of the armchairs has the rear back splat in upside.
A pair of mahogany revolving snooker and billiard cue stands. Height to top of finial 120 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Both stands are in very good condition generally. They both operate as they should. The slightly lighter coloured stand has one replacement retaining clip. The slightly darker stand has two different coloured sets of clips but as these are fitted in the same sequence we think that they are all original. Both swivel actions operate as they should. All feet are original. The colour and patination is generally good although both stands are both very dirty. The stands are almost identical but not an exact pair.
