WW1 British 1st Pattern Other Ranks Steel Combat Helmet, fine example of the early rimless pattern British steel combat helmet which has a dark and slightly rough textured paint finish to the exterior of the shell. The interior has the lighter apple green paint finish showing through. Interior also complete with the early pattern seven tongue liner system and two piece brown leather chinstrap with buckle fitting. Some obvious wear to the liner system and dents to the exterior shell but overall a very good example of a scarce WW1 British helmet.
