A set of six white painted standard lamps, 1930, the electrical fitting with a metal cone up lighter above further fittings on a column support and circular stepped base (three with slightly thicker columns and larger bases), together with a copper and ebonised steel standard lamp, the column of flattened ovoid form on an oval base, (the six 190cms high, the latter 145cms high), (7).
A South African Railways brass bi-lingual CABSIDE NUMBERPLATE "2583.GO". As carried by the SAR 3'6" gauge Class GO 4.8.2+2.8.4T Garratt 2583 built by Henschel as Works No. 28716 in 1954. A lighter weight version of the GMAM class. All were withdrawn by 1983, and two are preserved. In ex-loco condition.
