AN OAK REFECTORY TABLE INCORPORATING SOME EARLY 18TH CENTURY ELEMENTS 74cm high, 288cm long, 81cm wide Condition Report: The top is not flat with a visible slope to one end and other movement so that it is not flat - it is difficult to photograph, but some more photographs have been added to the additional condition report link for this lot.Marks, knocks, scratchers, abrasions consistent with age and use, the top surface uneven and with marks and stains, this has clearly been used in a domestic setting, a sympathetic clean and repolish to the top would probably be beneficial, colour variation overall, the top also markedly lighter than the base The top formed of two planks and joined centrally - there is some unevenness to the these and they are not dead flat overall, some old splits and cracks (including some filler to repair) The pegged stretcher and uprights with slight movement at time of report but does not appear dangerous Some signs of old filled woodworm holes, probably some old losses to the stretcher from rot - but overall all appears stablePlease see additional images for visual reference to condition and appearance Condition Report Disclaimer
