The history of the Sportster in the Harley Davidson range can be traced back to the introduction of the side valve K series machines introduced in 1952. Intended to compete with the overhead valve 500cc British machines on both the track and the road, the new models were considerably lighter than their overhead valve brothers. The next major step in the evolution of the range came in 1957 when the overhead valve 883cc XL series of machines was introduced to be joined at the beginning of the 1970's by a larger capacity variant initially displacing 997cc. Whilst the 883cc engine size would remain a constant, continuing to this day, the larger variant would undergo two further increases in capacity, the first coming in 1986 with the introduction of the Evo 1100cc the second in 1988 when the 1200cc engine was adopted. Throughout production the Sportster, in both capacities, has retained its slim, stripped down appearance, with the 883 proving to be particularly popular with riders purchasing their first Harley. This iconic motorcycle is presented in metallic grey and has only covered a mere 9,940 miles from new. The present owner had the bike fully recommissioned in 2020 which included a new drivebelt, new battery and serviced. It has covered zero miles since 2020 and has been stored carefully. A great touring bike with low mileage, ready to use!

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a luxury saloon and was officially introduced in 1972 with the W116 S-Class which succeeded previous Mercedes-Benz models dating back to the mid-1950s. As the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz line-up, the S-Class has debuted many of the company's latest innovations, including drivetrain technologies, interior features, and safety systems (such as seatbelt pre-tensioners). The W220 S-Class was completely restyled in 1999 with a body that was slightly smaller and lighter than its predecessor. Production of the W220 S-Class totalled 485,000 units; slightly more than the production totals of its predecessor. As with each new S-Class, the W220 brought in new innovations such as Airmatic air suspension and Active Ventilated Seats (which used miniature fans in the seats to move air through perforations).Originally registered on 22nd May 2001, this S600 limousine has only had one owner from new. That owner being Roger Taylor an English musician, singer and multi-instrumentalist, best known as the drummer for the rock band Queen. The car presents very well in its original colour combination of black with black interior. It has been exceptionally well cared for and we are advised she drives very well with no known faults. A well stamped service book accompanies this Mercedes and judging by the picnic tables to the rear, we can only assume Mr. Taylor employed a chauffeur occasionally. Offered for sale without reserve, this S600 L with its interesting and highly esteemed owner, offers astonishing value given the original capital cost.

The Stag began its life as a Triumph 2000 based styling exercise by Italian carrossier, Giovanni Michelotti. A 2+2 convertible, Michelotti's design featured a quad-lamp grille and sculpted front and rear ends, the latter destined to appear on many future Triumphs. By the time production commenced in 1970, the 2000's six-cylinder engine had been replaced by a three litre V8. Motor Sport described the Stag's interior as, 'well appointed, having all the usual instrumentation one would expect in a high-performance car.'Presented in Sapphire blue with black trim this lovely low owner Stag boasts a desirable and lighter alloy Rover V8 and has been lovingly owned. The car was originally supplied to a Mr Dawson-Edwards in March 1974 as shown in the original invoice from Winchurch Motors Ltd. In Worcestershire. Mr Dawson-Edwards wrote to the new keeper when he sold it detailing all about the car which can also be found in the history file. Mr Jordan we believe owned the car between 2004 and 2012 before Mr Patten took over who was meticulous with keeping every record including that of a full repaint in 2017 and stated to our owner this was one of the last rust free stags available when he purchased in 2018. The car recently had a new distributor, ignition coil and radiator and new rear seatbelts with Stag Classics in Hampshire and we are informed this not only presents but performs just as expected of a low ownership cherished example. Offered with an MoT until May 2022 and a fabulous history file including original booklet and service booklet along with Triumph operators and parts catalogue coupled to three Haynes manuals.

As the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz line-up, the S-Class has debuted many of the company's latest innovations, including drivetrain technologies, interior features, and safety systems such as seatbelt pretensioners. The W220 S-Class was completely restyled in 1999 with a body that was slightly smaller and lighter than its predecessor. As with each new S-Class, the W220 brought in new innovations such as Airmatic air suspension and Active Ventilated Seats which used miniature fans in the seats to move air through perforations. S-Class safety features included innovations in active safety (accident avoidance) including ABS braking in 1978, traction control and Electronic Stability Program (ESP). Passive safety features included crumple zones in 1957, three-point seatbelts in 1965, collapsible steering column and strengthened occupant cell, resulting in better protection during heavy impacts.Presented in Piano Black with full grey leather this remarkably low mileage S320 showing just 45,889 miles has had just three owners from new and in that time been serviced by Mercedes-Benz main dealers only, the last in March 2021 at 42,142 miles. Unfortunately, the bodywork needs a little TLC but upon inspection at the time of consignment all electrics functioned as they should on the car including the air suspension and the interior was as expected in very good condition. A vehicle that when first registered with options such as parktronic, memory pack and xenon lights cost £50,221 and is now offered without reserve having been treated to new spark plugs and a new battery and boasting two sets of keys and the full book pack. Guide Price £3,000 - £5,000

A LANGYAO WATER POT, PINGGUOZUN, QING DYNASTYChina, 1644-1912. Of compressed globular form, elegantly potted with generous rounded sides rising from a short foot to an incurved mouth rim recessed into the shoulder. Covered overall in an unctuous glaze of rich crushed-strawberry tone, the interior and base glazed in pale-bluish white, the foot rim left unglazed.Provenance: Greater London trade, by repute acquired from an English private estate.Condition: Excellent condition with minor wear and firing flaws, including a noticeable glaze recess to the base, dark spots, and pitting.Weight: 190.0 gDimensions: Diameter 8.5 cm (at the widest points)The recessed base with an underglaze-blue six-character mark da Qing Kangxi nianzhi in horizontal script.Langyao is a vitreous red glaze that was developed at the Jingdezhen imperial kilns under the supervision of Lang Tingji (1663-1715), governor of Jiangxi Province between 1705 and 1712. This copper glaze turns red after being fired in a reducing or oxygen-deprived atmosphere. It sometimes drips down the vessel during firing, creating drops around the foot. It is incredibly hard to achieve, with layerings of clear and copper-rich glazes allowing for depths of color, as clearly evidenced by the present lot. The glaze must be of a certain thickness to turn red, so areas where it is thin can be lighter in color or even white.Literature comparison: Compare a related peachbloom-glazed pingguozun, with a Kangxi mark and of the period, in the collection of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., accession number 1942.9.503.
