Serving dish - signs of crazing, some light scratches, hole to one side possibly firing fault? A Regency mahogany fold-over card table of demi lune form raised on turned and ringed tapering legs to brass caps and castors CONDITION REPORTS Various impressed marks and scratches and gauges to the top. Split running along the top edge towards the back, running around half the length of the table.. Table is very rickety on its legs. Interior is considerably lighter to the darker top and body. Top of one leg has a considerable crack in it - see images. All over scratches and marks and general signs of wear and tear. Wood worm holes are visible to the back of the table.
A Dunhill Aquarium table lighter, the lucite panels decorated with fish and aquatic foliage 8 x 10cm (3 x 4in) The lucite (perspex) panel decorated with fish underwater was created using the reverse intaglio technique. This engraving technique carves into the back of the perspex which is then hand painted to produce a "3D" effect. It was a popular technique during the 1940s and 1950s but few artists today have the knowledge and ability to produce these works making them a unique and collectable art form.
