Five cabinet cups and saucers, French, Wedgwood, Coalport and two others. CONDITION REPORT: The lighter blue and floral tea cup has a crack approximately 3 cm in length and the saucer has two cracks in the centre of approximately 8 cm and 10 cm. The darker blue and floral cup has restoration to the rim in two places, the saucer has rubbed gilding. The heavily gilded cup and saucer both have rubbed gilding and the saucer has a firing flaw to the underside approximately 5 mm square. The blue and gilded cup & saucer with portrait panels - the cup has a totally restored handle, crudely done and a crack running approximately 8 cm in length through the body.
Bag to include plated set of pin dishes, three assorted lighters, Dunhill and others, together with plated shell design trinket box. CONDITION REPORT: smaller lighter - Savoy - Brevete SGDG No 80694 Bigger lighter Savoy - Brevete SGDG No 806949 Good overall condition of items. Lighters are not tested as working. All items show surface wear and tarnishing as expected.
A box containing a silver cigarette case, two Fire Service medals from the 1950's with accompanying letter, a small collection of British and other coinage, together with assorted miscellaneous items to include dressing table mirror and brush, Ronson table lighter, etc CONDITION REPORTS Silver cigarette case with knocks and dents, wear and scuffs. Compacts with various wear and chips. Medallions with wear and scuffs, some knocks and dents to edges. Coins with quite heavy wear. Dressing table items with wear, separating at joins, dents and splits. Sekonda watch heavily scuffed and scratched, and it is not known whether or not it is in working order. Medal isncribed "For Exemplary Fire Service" has inscription to edge "Sub. Offr. James Hope", there is no bar with this medal and there is a piece of ribbon separate in a small cardboard box. The medal with bar which reads "Twenty Years" and "National Fire Brigade Association" is inscribed to side "6359 James Hope". There is a typed letter regarding "Award of Fire Brigade Long Service & Good Conduct Medal" dated 2nd February 1955, and another typed letter relating to "Fire Brigade Long Service & Good Conduct Medal" dated 1st November 1954.
FRANK RICHARDS "The Spinning Lesson", watercolour, signed lower left CONDITION REPORTS Frame and mount have been crudely painted with gold colour paint, size of picture approx. 38 x 30 cm, there are some splashes of the gold paint which have splashed on to the watercolour, there are quite a lot of white/pale patches to the picture and it is not known whether these are original to the picture or the result of some cleaning or rapirs/touch-up paint, there are also some lighter areas near to where the threads being wound appear.
