1962 Jaguar D-Type Evocation Make: Jaguar Model: D-Type Evocation Year: 1962Mileage: 39333VIN: GA47245DLConfiguration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: XLD58Transmission: manualWith between 71 and 75 Jaguar D-types originally built for racing, 'Evocations' for road use have appeared ever since. The underpinnings of this one appear to be 1962 Triumph Herald 1200, albeit upgraded with a six-cylinder 2.0-litre engine. In April 2020, it was delivered to Rally Preparation Services (RPS) in Witney, Oxfordshire. Over the next year and two months, over £35,000 was spent on RPS building the car and adding period authentic details. There's a collection of 12 invoices detailing what was done up until November 2021; a browse through the bills will show just how much time, effort and money has been spent on this vehicle. Seven former registered keepers are recorded - although this is for the entire history of the car, from 1962 onwards (when it was a Triumph Herald) with 39,326 miles recorded on the odometer. The car's last MoT - when it was still a Herald - was in May 2009, when a mileage of 38,850 miles was noted. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 24TH MARCH BY ACA OF THIS CAR.
1969 Triumph 1300Make: Triumph Model: 1300Year: 1969Mileage: 108517VIN: RD86962DLConfiguration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: SAU206GTransmission: manualThe vendor has owned this dark blue example of Triumph's front-wheel drive 1300 model for seven years. For all of that period, it has been kept MoT'd and on the road, while being regularly serviced by a classic specialist. Among the upgrades are full inertia reel seatbelts for all four seats and a DAB radio with USB socket while, mechanically, an electronic ignition and alternator have been fitted, and an unleaded fuel conversion carried out. The vendor believes the engine was rebuilt approximately 10 years ago. The mileage indicated by the odometer is 108,517 and just three former registered keepers are shown on the V5C. The current MoT is valid until July 2022 and the vehicle was registered in June 1969. The history folder includes the V5C, the current MoT certificate, some past ones and a print-out of the online MoT history back to 2005 (when the mileage was 95,924 miles). The invoices date from 2021 back to 2015 and include bills for both drive couplings replaced in April 2021, a new water pump in May 2020, new engine and steering rack mounts in February 2019, alternator in June 2018 and some sill and wing welding in February 2018, The car also comes with a box of items (see photo) such as workshop manuals, owner's handbooks, rally plaques, press cuttings on the 1300, 1968/69 AA member's handbook and a repair operations manual. There are also the Kenwood stereo instructions. The spares with the car run to some Superflex engine mounts, two rear lights, two front seat belts, touch-up paint, used starter motor and other miscellaneous parts.

The vendor acquired it in July 2021; little is known of the car's history before that save for five former registered keepers being noted on the V5C and the odometer reading 93,333 miles. The last MoT expired in May 2019, although as an historic vehicle, the P4 no longer requires testing. The paperwork file includes the current and some past V5Cs, a £1233 bill from 2021 for fuel pump replacement and other work, a couple of other invoices from 2008 and 2009 and MoT certificates from 2015, 2016 and 2018, along with a print-out of the online MoT history back to 2006 (when the mileage was noted as 91,097 miles). There's also two Rover 110 owner's manuals plus a British Leyland era P4 workshop manual. Aside from some generally flat paint, with swirl marks from polishing, the Rover presents well. The paperwork folder includes the V5C, most recent (2020) MoT certificate and a selection of bills from 2020 (mainly for engine components) and 2019 (brake parts). 1955 Austin A30 Make: Austin Model: A30 Year: 1955Mileage: 62211VIN: A2S4101546Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: PXT672Transmission: manualThis 1955 Austin A30, registered in February of that year, was owned by its last recorded keeper for nearly 40 years, until he gave up driving. It's seen little use over the last few years, but still runs and drives. However the brakes will require some attention. Three former registered keepers are recorded on the V5C, which also notes the engine capacity of 948cc. As A30s had 803cc A-series engines, it's possible that, at some point in the car's past, it has been upgraded with the engine from a later A35. The paperwork folder includes the current V5C plus an old one, as well as MoTs from 2002, 2005, 2006 to 2009 and 2010 to 2012. As an historic vehicle, this A30 is now exempt from testing. The mileage shown by the odometer is 62,211. Cosmetically, inside and out, the Austin would benefit from some attention.

It also features the 1489cc B-Series engine. Registered in June 1961, the mileage showing on the odometer is 81,696 miles, which is, for the main part, largely confirmed by the history file. The vendor tells us the car is very solid and looked after, and runs and drives very well with no issues. However, it requires some paintwork, although the vendor believes this is 'nothing major'. The paperwork folder includes the V5C, some early service information, and a set of cards that seem to chronicle every journey from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s. In addition, there's an extensive collection of MoTs from 1971 to 1996, 1998 to 2004, 2006 to 2007, 2009, 2011 to 2015 and 2017, plus tax discs from 1978 to 1983, 1986 to 2005, 2010, 2012 and 2015. 1983 Ferrari Mondial QuattrovalvoleMake: FerrariModel: Mondial QuattrovalvoleYear: 1983Mileage: 89000VIN: ZFFLD14B000046213Configuration: Left Hand DriveRegistration: JWR115YTransmission: ManualWhen the Mondial came out in 1980, its double overhead camshaft engine used just two valves per cylinder. The 1982 Quattrovalvole or QV introduced a new four-valve head with its combustion chamber design apparently based on the early eighties Formula 1 engine. It produced 240bhp and the car was distinguished by red engine heads and prominent 'Quattrovalvole' script at the rear. 1145 coupés were built between 1982 and 1985. This silver example, which has been modified for track day/racing use, was built in 1983, but initially used abroad. It then came to the UK and was registered here in October 1998. The MoT is valid until October 2022 and 89,499km (55,581 miles) are showing on the odometer, albeit not warranted. The paperwork folder includes the current V5C plus some past ones, a Mondial workshop manual, and a ring binder of documentation and invoices for parts, servicing and maintenance back to 2003. In addition, there are 2021 MoT certificates as well as ones from 1997, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2014, along with some documentation relating to its Italian days including what looks like an Italian registration document. The circuit use modifications include lightweight Sparco racing seats, full harnesses, roll cage and a fire extinguisher system.

This 3.0-litre 300SD turbo diesel S-Class was manufactured during 1980, albeit initially registered and used overseas, hence why the automatic car is left-hand drive. It was registered in the UK in November 2011 and the current mileage is shown as 137,684 miles by the odometer, although this isn't warranted. One former registered keeper is indicated on the V5C. The history file includes the V5C and a print-out of the online MoT history from 2018 back to 2011. The vehicle is now MoT-exempt as an historic vehicle. There is no other paperwork available.

As an SX, the car is one of the mid-level spec models, and is fitted with the 60bhp 1242cc petrol engine. The paperwork file includes the V5C and the original Fiat document wallet with owner's handbook, radio manual and dealership/service directory. There are also MoT certificates dating from 2019, 2020 and 2022 (with the present one expiring in February 2023) plus a set of spare keys. 1986 Lotus Esprit S3 Make: Lotus Model: Esprit S3 Year: 1986Mileage: 57467VIN: SCC085912FHD12229Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: C61XBFTransmission: ManualThe striking Lotus Esprit was penned by Giorgetto Giugiaro, and represented a major step forward for Lotus, propelling it almost into supercar territory and, of course, giving it major publicity when Roger Moore's James Bond drove examples in the 007 films The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only. This example, a Series III non-turbo registered in May 1986, has been owned by the vendor for six years, and is in very good condition inside and out. It was repainted and re-upholstered around nine years ago, before the vendor bought it. He describes it now as 'not perfect, but a nice clean example that runs well'. Under his ownership, the engine and gearbox have been fully rebuilt by Lotus specialist GST Performance, with the engine only doing 150 miles since it was put back in. New alloy fuel tanks, sender unit, SU fuel pump, fuel lines, aluminium coolant pipes have been fitted along with new Dell'Orto caburettors. The coolant system is filled with coolant called Ice Cooler (around £100 for 10 litres, ready-mixed) and the car is also fitted with a fan switch in the car so cooling of the engine can be switched on at will. The car has also received new rear driveshaft gaiters, steering rack gaiters, track rod ends, front tyres and throttle cable. The engine has a four-branch manifold fitted and brand new Lotus exhaust silencer. The current MoT is valid until May 2022 and six former registered keepers are noted on the V5C, which is present. The history folder also includes a very large amount of invoices dating back to the early part of the 21st century. Print-outs of information on the Esprit S3 are also in the file, as is the original book pack, albeit only with the owner's handbook and first after-sales service details inside. The MoT certificates date from 1998, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2021. A photo album shows the repaint and other refurbishment of the Lotus. Finally, in addition to two hefty workshop manuals, there's a copy of the book Lotus Esprit: The Complete Story by Jeremy Walton, with this car adorning the front cover. 1984 Lancia Beta HPE VolumexMake: Lancia Model: Beta HPE VolumexYear: 1984Mileage: 72511VIN: ZLA828BF00949019Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: B962OJKTransmission: manualThe Lancia Beta HPE was one of the more stylish estate cars of the 1970s and 1980s, and in Volumex form, as here, also featured supercharging. Survivors are very rare now. This example dates from the final year of the model, having been registered in December 1984. It has been stood for around four years but was in daily use before then according to the vendor. However, before its lay-up, its engine was rebuilt, at a cost of £3629. There is a bill for this in the history file. The current mileage is recorded by the odometer as 72,511 miles, which can be, for the most part, warranted by the paperwork. The history folder includes the V5C plus some past V5Cs. The MoT certificates date from 2000 to 2007, 2010 to 2012 and 2014 to 2017. There's a selection of invoices dating back to 2000 as well as a copy of Auto Italia magazine from November 2007 which features the car. In addition, there's a range brochure and the original book pack with owner's manual, service directory, radio instructions, dashboard warning graphics card and service book. There are stamps in the service book up up to 57,938 miles. A spare set of keys is also present.

1933 Austin Seven Box SaloonMake: AustinModel: Seven Box SaloonYear: 1933Mileage: 53109VIN: 184711Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: MJ3145Transmission: ManualThis Austin Seven Box saloon was registered in December 1933 and retains its original MJ 3145 registration, along with the supplying dealer plaque on the dashboard. The vendor tells us that it 'drives well for a 90-year-old car'. However, its elderly lady owner (who bought it in 2007) has now decided its time for the little Austin to go as it's no longer being driven. The owner before her bought the the car is 1973, and and had the engine rebored, but then laid the car up in dry storage. The mileage indicated on the odometer is just over 53,100 miles. At some point, the original fabric roof has been replaced with a metal one, and the car was reportedly repainted in the early 1970s. However, the interior seems original.

The vendor reports that the fuel tap needs turning on in order to make the engine run, and will need turning off again when stopped as it continues to drip. The paperwork file runs to just the V5C document.
1998 Fiat Cinquecento SXMake: Fiat Model: Cinquecento Year: 1998Mileage: 62000VIN: ZFA17000001164649Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: S838KJHTransmission: manualThe Fiat Cinquecento replaced the 126 as another in Fiat's long range of small city cars, a format the Italian manufacturer was especially adept at. This SX version, with 899cc engine, was registered in October 1998 and now has 62,719 miles showing on its odometer. Five previous registered keepers are shown on the V5C. The last MoT expired in August 2021, since when the Fiat has been stored. Included in the history folder are the MoT certificate from 2018 (which shows an anomaly on the mileage, indicating it as 74,137 miles, which the vendor believes is an input error as subsequent MoTs revert to around 62,000 miles), as well as ones from 2016 and 2019 plus a few invoices. In addition, there's the original book pack containing the owner's handbook, radio/cassette player instructions. The service book shows services up to 25,654 miles, albeit with no stamps - possibly suggesting a home service - for the last two. There is no V5C.

1963 Triumph TR4Make: Triumph Model: TR4Year: 1963Mileage: 36950VIN: CT27560Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: LFO485Transmission: manual1,990cc. Finished in Signal red with black leather and black hood. Prior to the vendor's ownership since 2021, this TR4 had been with the same family, father and son, since 1996. We have been advised that it is well known within the classic scene having participated in several European tours. We understand that the car was cherished and stored in a carcoon when not in use. It is described as starting on the button, driving well, with a strong engine, smooth gearbox and working overdrive. A Mota Lita steering wheel, luggage rack and wire wheels complete the look. The paintwork is described as remaining in good condition and the upholstery is free from rips and tears. It comes complete with older restoration photos, MoTs dating from 1996 to 2018 when last issued and insurance and DVLA documents dating from 1996 to 2018. The mileage is recorded at 36,950. 1957 MG A Roadster Make: MG Model: A Roadster Year: 1957Mileage: 0VIN: HDA4335905Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: 489XVHTransmission: manualObviously somewhat transformed from stock MGA appearance now, this 1957 MGA is an ex-USA race car, converted to right-hand drive and road-registered in September 2019. It has been used for track days, the occasional sprint and two races while in the vendor's ownership. While the mechanics such as the gearbox, axles and suspension are largely standard MGA, the 1620cc engine is a bored-out 1489cc unit that has been rolling road-tuned to around 145bhp at the flywheel, with a Weber 45 carburettor fitted. It also has a standard balanced crank and rods, and ARP head studs. Although road legal, the vendor says that the engine only gets into its stride above 3000rpm. The vendor reports that the MGA has been reliable and easy to drive, with a Tilton cast-aluminium pedal box and Kirky seat. He believes it would make a good base for an FIA race car; although prepared for track days rather than racing, any ineligible items are easily removed and the originals refitted - parts such as the mechanical distributor, water pump and standard brake discs do come with the car. The car is shod with Avon CR6zz 175/15 tyres, but the fronts will need replacement soon. Work done since the vendor acquired the car in 2019 includes the right-hand drive conversion, fitment of a 123 electronic distributor, electric water pump, new rear crank oil seal, new rear gearbox tail housing seal, Weber 45 carburettor plus manifold, new wheel bearings, twin Posi-flow Facet fuel pumps, fully Poly-bushed suspension, MG Midget clutch slave cylinder (which offers more clutch feel), MGB heavy duty road clutch, uprated anti-roll bar, 112 degrees centigrade warning lamp, full-width windscreen (required for some race series), eye level oil warning lamp and reverse gear lock-out bar. The MGA is also fitted with a GPS speedometer and the front offside wing is steel but the remainder are fibreglass. The gearbox is standard MGA as is the rear axle and the brakes, albeit with grooved front discs and braided steel flexible pipes. The documentation includes the V5C, dynameter report, a selection of images, import documents and DVLA registration, 123 electronic ignition instructions, and assorted bills and invoices for work done and parts bought since 2019. The MoT certificates date from 2022 (valid until February 2023) and 2021 and 2019. The electronic odometer shows 621 miles, which seems to have been zeroed when the engine work was carried out in 2019. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 10TH MARCH BY ACA OF THIS CAR.

1982 Ford Capri 2.8 InjectionMake: Ford Model: Capri Injection Year: 1982Mileage: 69296VIN: WF0CXXGAECBC36054Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: XEW386XTransmission: manualThe last owner of this Ford Capri, registered in January 1982, owned it for nine years. It is described as being in 'very good condition' with notable features being the manual sunroof and its original radio with graphic equaliser. Of course, there's also the fuel-injected 2792cc V6 engine which is generally regarded as the best engine for MkIII Capris. The mileage of 69,296 miles showing on the odometer is believed to be genuine by the vendor, although it can't be warranted by the paperwork. However, the MoT information does is quite supportive of the low mileage. The history file includes the V5C, a selection of MoT certificates from 1986 to 1990, 2008, 2011 to 2012, 2014 to 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022. The present MoT is valid until March 2023. 1966 Wolseley Hornet MKIIMake: Wolseley Model: Hornet Year: 1966Mileage: 59840VIN: WA2S2793248Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: EPV329DTransmission: manualThe Wolseley Hornet was, along with its Riley Elf sister, an early attempt to produce an upmarket version of the Mini. Launched in 1961, the Hornet and Elf were given larger boots, rear fins and traditional upright grilles, along with leather seats and wood on the fascia. The models progressed from MkIs with 34bhp 848cc engines to MkIIs with 38bhp 998cc motors and then MkIIIs with concealed door hinges and wind-up windows. As a MkII Hornet, this is arguably the most desirable of the variants, with the original body style but the more powerful engine. This Wolseley was registered in May 1966, just before the progression from MkII to MkIII. It has been restored and still looks quite fresh, with a new-looking interior, very good paintwork and a solid underneath. The vendor tells us that the car drives well with good oil pressure, describing it as a 'good, all-round solid car that has covered just 1600 miles since 2002'.
