A group of fifty-seven mounted albumen prints on seventeen leaves, c. 1875, the majority of Mexico interest, larger images (approx. 19 x 25cm), include the cathedral in Mexico City, panoramic view from the cathedral tower, viaduct on the Infernal Precipice, double engine peculiar to the line, curve on the Mittac Precipice, In the Maltrato Mountains, the viaduct at Soledat, Orizaba, etc., the remaining forty-four smaller images (approx. 15 x 21cm and similar), including Falls of the Rio Grande, the Plaza, Guadalajara, Maximillian’s Palace, Trees, plus two photos of a large leather-back turtle (weight 987 lbs) showing figures for scale, all identified in English to mounts beneath, folio.
