The car is fully road-legal and has been used in motorsport events such as the Exeter Classic Car Trials, Land's End Trial etc. It's currently running on 15-inch diameter wheels for trialling, but can also run on 13-inch wheels for hill climbs, sprints and other events. The Skoda was converted by the vendor, who had been running a 1300cc Skoda Estelle in Class 4 trials. However, as certain members of his club weren't that happy with it always winning, he then built this Rapid V8 instead to run in Class 7 trials. Among the exterior modifications were a full-length underbody guard and two spare wheels mounted on a removable rear carrier to provide extra weight for traction.

He has since researched the car and sourced more up-to-date documentation; in addition, an old owner has forwarded some old paperwork as well. While the car has recently been running, it requires full restoration. The mileage indicated on the odometer is 801 miles. Although the car currently has a Q-plate, the evidence that has been gathered may mean that another approach to the DVLA would result in the issue of an age-related plate. The paperwork includes a present and past V5C, a certificate from the Alfa Romeo Museo Historica confirming the build date, chassis number and UK destination of the car in July 1973, and a letter of clarification from the UK Alfa Romeo Owners' Club liaison officer. It was factory-built by Tiger Racing near Peterborough, who first registered it for a SVA/IVA in May 2011. It was bought as new by the current owner less than a week later. Circuit Motor Bodies then fabricated additional aluminium work (nose cone and front wheel guards). The basis for the car is a 1967 Triumph Spitfire, with its engine and base parts all forming part of the Tiger. Its registration number, NEG 262E, was changed to 100 UXA in April 2016 to complement its 1950s' appearance. The vendor believes that this could well be the best example of its marque and, with its additional rear-mounted oak case rack, it would 'make a great weekend trip/show car'. It was driven to the Classic Le Mans event in France in 2014.

The car was initially converted to 3.5-litre Rover V8 power in 1993, before being fitted with the current (bottom end) 4.6 V8 engine in 2010, with a rebuilt four-pot Holley carburettor, Hoffenhauser inlet manifold, ported and polished MGB V8 heads, fast road camshaft, remote oil filter, and oil cooler. In addition, there are RV8 manifolds through the inner wings and a stainless steel exhaust. The back axle driveshafts are from an MGB GT V8. A Quaife LSD is fitted, as are welded-in anti-tramp bars. Suspension is lowered with parabolic springs, adjustable Spax dampers, coilover springs, front anti-roll bar bars and negative camber wishbones. There's also a new central alloy fuel tank, Mallory electronic ignition, V8 alloy radiator, Revotec electric fan. The R380 five-speed gearbox was rebuilt by Ashcroft Transmissions in 2016 and the same year, a new paddle clutch was fitted. The brakes have been upgraded to MGB V8 items with vented and grooved discs and Greenstuff pads. The dark blue car has a new interior and double duck hood professionally fitted, with leather seats and a Mota-Lita steering wheel. The Minilite alloy wheels have been refurbished and fitted with Toyo Proxes 195/60-14 tyres. The bonnet comes from an MG RV8. The recorded keeper has owned the car since 2000 and apparently changed the oil every 3000 miles, looking after the car very well in general. He tells us that the car is 'very fast, very reliable and drivable with good, predictable handling' and has been used for regular long trips. There's lots of history including the V5C, many bills totalling thousands of pounds for the work done, MoT certificates etc, plus a print-out showing the output from the 4.6-litre V8 as 351bhp at 5546rpm. A new hood and exhaust are recent fitments; the car is also fitted with a later bonnet and rear lights as the originals are almost impossible to source. The gearbox has been replaced by a later type, at some point during the car's life. The vendor bought the car at auction two years ago and has maintained and improved it during his ownership. He feels he now needs someone to use it more than he does. The car comes with its V5C, a photocopy of the owner's manual (albeit in Italian), parts catalogues, letter from Fiat confirming build date, and various photos of the car. "All is working fine," according to the vendor, and this includes the hood motor. The odometer shows 60,331 miles - albeit unwarranted - and the last MoT expired in March 2020 - although as an historic vehicle, one is no longer needed.

However, because of the takeover battle between BMW and Volkswagen for ownership of Rolls Royce and Bentley Motors, BMW threatened to stop supplying engines. Thus the Arnage was re-engineered to take the traditional old Rolls-Royce 6.75-litre 16-valve engine from the Turbo R, along with its four-speed automatic gearbox. The resultant car was known as the Bentley Arnage Red Label, with the BMW-powered variant being dubbed the Green Label. This Red Label car was registered in January 2002 and has had just two former registered keepers from new - with the last owning the car from July 2008. It has an MoT valid until March 2023, with its odometer showing circa 49,000 miles. This can be warranted from the history folder.

Brazilian manufacture only ceased in 2013, by which point the roof had been raised by 10 inches to create the T2c variant and the venerable old air-cooled engine at the rear had been swapped for a water-cooled unit. This example is one of the last with air-cooled power, in this case a 1.6-litre unit. It was constructed in Brazil during 2004 before coming over to the UK where Beetles (UK) Limited converted it into a Danbury camper, with two-tone white over pale green paint, non-standard cloth, bench seat that converts into a rock 'n' roll bed, two-burner stove with sink, immobiliser, underseal, auxiliary battery, elevating roof and vent, CD radio and four speakers, winter pack (including petrol heater), front-mounted solid spare wheel cover, chrome trim pack, bike rack, awning, roof rack and mains hook-up. Further modifications throughout the years included Suede Green leather and tartan upholstery, full leather door cards, Porsche-style Fuchs alloy wheels, walnut and tulip wood floor and table, new cooker and sink unit, and a flat-screen Alpine media system. A £2750 bill in the paperwork indicates a reconditioned 1.6-litre Brazilian exchange engine was fitted in October 2016, while it seems a full restoration has also been carried out relatively recently, judging by the van's body condition. The odometer currently shows 108,206km (67,236 miles) and five previous owners are noted on the V5C. There's a fresh MoT valid until May 2023. The engine starts easily and runs well. The history folder includes the V5C, owner's manual, service book (stamped up to 108,174km in December 2021), Alpine Media Station manuals in both paper and CD form, and a Volkswagen Transporter Haynes Enthusiast Guide book by Jonathan Harvey. Being a higher spec executive Rover, the car features a high standard of equipment such as twin electric seats, sunroof and CD changer (all of which are working). The 820 is considered the most desirable of the coupe range, being the only manual transmission model. The current owner purchased the car in October 2013 and carried out extensive work to get the car into the excellent condition it is in today. It was given two new (factory) wings and a replacement door. A replacement sill was specially fabricated. After that, the car was resprayed after being stripped and corrosion-treated.

The Chevrolet features a 2.7-litre air-cooled flat-six engine as well as air conditioning and leather upholstery. The interior was retrimmed in 1999 with new white leather and blue piping. New carpeting was also fitted throughout at the time.

The engine runs sweetly, according to the vendor, and there are no gearbox issues. There are also no overheating problems, notes the vendor. Jobs still to be done include the front shock absorbers, wiper motor, tracking adjustment, cab to chassis blocks/bolts, fuel and temperature gauges, speedometer, steering adjustment, and wiring tidying around places such as the indicators.
