Scratch built by Norman Gregory for 1979 exhibition, a twin cylinder marine engine 0.75 inch bore x 2 inch stroke cylinders, column mounted to drive crank with heavy 5.75 inch dia. flywheels both ends lever operated reversing gear, rigid steam/air supply pipes, steel/brass construction with displacement lubricator and 2 wheel valve on steam supply, oil dash pots on 3 main bearings, very fine workmanship, 15 inches high, 9 inches long x 9 inches outer pulleys, exhibition plaque on entablature
Scratch built (needs finishing and or painting) a full Beam engine from steel and alloy with brass bean, wood clad cylinder 1.5 inch bore x 2.5 inch stroke, Watts parallel motion to brass beam driving 10 inch, 6 spoked steel flywheel via geared cycloidal motion slip eccentric drive to valve gear, ball governor supplied but not fitted, overall length 18 inches maximum width 10 inches x 14 inches
Scratch built 'Scotch Crank' column engine having cylinder 1" bore x 1.25 inch stroke, supported on splayed steel strip columns, centrally mounted 6 inch dia. heavy pierced flywheel driven via 'Scotch Crank' ingenious conversion of linear motion to radical steam chest is incomplete and lacks pipe work. Mounted on wood base 8 inches x 14 inches together with a small 6-12 volt electric motor, needs finishing
