HE 5636 1959 ex D2587 Worksplate THE HUNSLET ENGINE CO LTD LEEDS 204 HP No5636 1959 ex British Railways Class 05 0-6-0 Diesel Shunter numbered D2587. Allocated new to 56A Knottingley and withdrawn in December 1967 from 62C Dunfermline Townhill and rebuilt by Hunslet in 1969 as works No 7180. It is now preserved. Oval cast brass measuring 11.5in x 8.25in. In as removed condition.

Herbert + Worksplate Avonside 1950 1924 Nameplate HERBERT together wits its matching worksplate AVONSIDE ENGINE Co LTD BRISTOL BUILT 1924 ENGINE no 1950. Ex 0-6-0ST with outside cylinders built to order 6005 and delivered new to Doncaster Amalgamated Collieries Ltd, Markham Main Colliery where it was named HERBERT, taken into NCB stock in January 1947 and transferred to Rossington Main Colliery in 1960 and finally scrapped in 1963. Nameplate is cast brass in as removed condition measures 33in x 6.25in and oval cast brass worksplate is face cleaned and measure 11in x 6.5in. A nice set complete with a couple of photographs of the locomotive.

An 1860's Burgess and Leigh Mug, printed and painted with a railway pattern, the engine marked 'EXPRESS' the base marked B&L, in good condition with a little staining and a very faint hairline to the exterior base which does not appear to run through to the interior side.

A Stirling Type Hot Air Engine, connected to twin flywheels of two 2 inch diameter, overall size 5.5 inch square by 3 inch high, good condition, finished in bright metal and mounted on a wooden base - items missing burner.

A Model Two Stroke Petrol Engine, fitted with fuel tank, generator and two inch flywheel, mounted on a wooden base with an overall dimension of 3.5 x 5 x 6 inch high. An interesting model in dirty/poor condition, but worthy of further inspection.

A Single Cylinder Vertical Steam Engine, of 0.5 inch bore and one inch stroke, connected to a 2 inch flywheel, overall dimension 6 inch high, mounted on a 4 x 2.5 inch wooden base.

An Engineered L.A.G Stirling Thermo Acoustic Engine, twin "Pyrex" tubes with stainless steel mesh, twin 1" stroke pistons connected to a 4" spoke brass flywheel, fitted brass burner, bright metal finish, overall size 11" long, 3½" wide, 4½ high.

A Well Engineered Charles Burrell and Sons One Inch Gauge Live Steam Showman's Road Traction Engine, coal fitted with hand pump, water and pressure gauges, whistle, dynamo and lighting, two speed gearing and a wealth of other detail and features. The engine is mounted as a static display on a wooden box of 26 x 12 x 5 inches, this base contains an electric motor etc, to operate the engine and lighting. Overall finished in red, yellow and bright metal brass, fitted with the name plate "Diana". Plus sign writing to to canopy "Thurstons Amusements". In addition a glass case "Cover" is supplied to give overall dimensions of 24 x 18 x 11 inches. There are no build details or boiler certificate.
