**Please note the car has undergone a recommissioning service by Geoff Page. This included new belts, filters, fluids, high pressure fuel pump, brake and clutch master cylinders and brake adjustments. Now offered with a fresh MOT after 3-4 test miles.**One of the 90 examples finished by Ford in the more refined road car specification, just one former keeper and 8,877 miles from new. Ford had been working on a turbocharged machine that could compete with the new breed of 'Group B' Rally cars like the Audi Sport Quattro, Peugeot 205 T16, the Lancia Delta and their remarkable 037. Unusually for Ford, the solution proved elusive and with the Escort RS 1700T failing miserably, they were forced to return to the drawing board and start all over again. The result was the RS200, however, Ford had now become 'late starters' and were effectively three years behind. The car was styled by Ghia and unusually, the bodywork was entrusted to a company who knew a fair bit about building fibreglass cars - Reliant. The chassis engineering was looked after by F1 gurus Tony Southgate and John Wheeler. Ford bosses demanded that it must have four-wheel drive and it was built around a space frame chassis, Kevlar bodywork and a potent mid-mounted engine courtesy of well proven race engine builder, Brian Hart. Add to this an innovative front mounted gearbox for better weight distribution and balance plus a variable torque split differential from Ferguson and you had a real beast of a car.The result was spectacular. At the peak of its powers in the hands of star drivers like Stig Blomqvist the larger 2.1-litre Evo engine was claimed to be pushing out around 650bhp, it was rumoured that even 700/800bhp was used. It looked like Ford finally had the package to win and things were looking promising after Kalle Grundell came home third in the Swedish Rally of 1986, however the fickle finger of fate was soon to be pointed at 'Group B'. Tragedy struck on the opening stage of the Portuguese Rally when Joaquim Santos lost control of his RS200 and sadly three people died and many others were injured. Marc Surer also crashed his RS200 in the Hessen Rally killing his co-driver. This was the beginning of the end for 'Group B' Rallying. Soon after that, Henri Toivonen and his co-driver Sergio Cresto lost their lives on the Tour de Corse when their Lancia Delta left the road. This really was the end of 'Group B' and it was also the end of an era for the fastest, most dangerous, most spectacular period in modern rallying. As a result, after just one year in competition, it was all over for the RS200 so it never got to show off its full potential, however it did prove that it had enormous promise, with many of the cars being spectacularly successful in Rallycross particularly in the hands of Norwegian Martin Schanche.FIA Homologation Rules for 'Group B' required the construction of at least 200 road-legal vehicles and Ford complied with this, building 200 units with enough spare parts for a further 20. Records indicate that 90 of these were eventually to leave the factory finished as road cars.We are pleased to offer this Ford RS200, chassis #0053, which was supplied new by Hendy Ford, Eastleigh to another retail Ford dealer at the time, Nicklens of Fordingbridge, under their parent company Shearing Builders Ltd. The car was first registered on 24th March 1987 and remained with the original owners until July 1997 when the Hendy Group bought it back through their Cosham branch. Since the car’s purchase by our vendor, it has remained within his private Collection of cars and has had no use apart from being put through an MOT that expired in August of 2020. Although the car has not been run during its current tenure it has been carefully stored within a dry heated environment and still stands in time warp condition.Showing just 8,877 miles on the odometer, warranted by its extensive collection of historic MOT and Tax certificates in addition to the aforementioned history, it still boasts its original leather-bound RS200 drivers and maintenance manual. In super original condition, this fabulous RS200 evokes memories of one of the most dramatic eras in rallying history and may well be the missing jigsaw piece in a Ford collector's puzzle.N.B. The car was purchased by our vendor in running condition, but it has since been effectively museum-stored in his heated storage and unused for 6 years - therefore some recommissioning will be needed prior to using the car. SpecificationMake: FORDModel: RS200Year: 1987Chassis Number: SFACXXBJ2CGL00053Registration Number: D49 FOTTransmission: ManualEngine Number: GL00053Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 8877 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: RedClick here for more details and images

Lot 126

Smart Obsidian Black Cosworth-powered 190E, ex-Lotus F1 management car from the Senna era.   The Mercedes-Benz 190E (W201) was a compact executive saloon car manufactured from 1982 to 1993. Mercedes had enjoyed some good results competing in rallying, with V8-powered R107 Series Coupés and naturally they were keen to build on this success by taking the 190E on a similar path. Not having the expertise in-house at the time, Mercedes approached British engineering company, Cosworth, to develop a competitive engine for the rally car, however this project took off just as the Audi Quattro, with its all-wheel drive and turbocharger, was launched, making the 2.3 16v appear somewhat outclassed. With a continued desire for the 190 to succeed in high-profile motorsport and also now a state-of-the-art engine with which to do it, Mercedes turned to the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) (German Touring Car Championship) motorsport series instead. However, cars racing in this championship had to be based on a road-going model, a minimum number of which had been sold to the public, so Mercedes, therefore, had to put the 190 into series-production with a detuned version of the Cosworth engine. This high-performance model was known as the 190E 2.3-16 and debuted at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September 1983. In road-going trim, the 2.3-litre 16-valve engine produced 185bhp with acceleration from 0-62mph in less than eight seconds and a top speed of 143mph. The engine is considered to be remarkably flexible with a very flat torque curve and a wide powerband. There were other notable changes over the standard 190 including the bodykit which reduced the drag coefficient to 0.32, one of the lowest CD values on a four-door saloon at the time, whilst also reducing lift at speed. The steering ratio was quicker and the steering wheel smaller than that on other 190s, whilst the fuel tank was enlarged from 55 to 70 litres. The Getrag 5-speed manual gearbox was unique to the 16-valve and featured a 'racing' gear pattern with a 'dog-leg' first gear. An oil cooler was fitted to ensure sufficient oil cooling for the inevitable track use for which many of these cars were destined. The strictly four-seat interior featured Recaro sports seats with strong side bolsters for front and rear passengers and three extra dials, an oil temperature gauge, stopwatch and voltmeter were included in the centre console. The suspension on 16-valve models is very different from the standard 190. As well as being lower and stiffer, it has quicker dampers, larger anti-roll bars, harder bushes, a limited-slip differential and hydraulic self-levelling suspension (SLS) on the rear, allowing the rear ride height to remain constant even when the car is fully loaded. The car presented here is a very special 1985 Mercedes-Benz (W201) 190E 2.3-16V Cosworth, as it was one of two examples supplied new to Team Lotus International in 1986, this era being a particularly testing and significant time in the team’s history. The 190E was to be used by the management team and drivers, which included Gérard Ducarouge, the legendary car designer, technical director and the figure credited with saving Team Lotus, plus Johnny Dumfries and Ayrton Senna, as drivers. Iconic Auctioneers have it on very good authority, directly from Gérard Ducarouge (before he died in 2015), that he clearly recalled the car, spoke highly of it and stated that it was very much used by all team members at this time.Team Lotus had once stood as the dominant force in Formula 1, achieving victory in 71 World Championship races over 19 seasons. However, by the 1986 season, the team was grappling with the loss of its visionary founder. They were striving to provide their star driver, Ayrton Senna, with a competitive car amidst challenging circumstances. The 98T was the answer and a car that was born in the context of the 1986 F1 regulations, unrestricted by boost limitations, qualifying engines surged past 1,000bhp - the highest power outputs recorded in F1 history. The 1986 season represented the pinnacle of the V6 Turbo Era, defined by adrenaline-fueled racing where wheelspin was commonplace even in fifth gear, and qualifying engines were pushed to their limits - sometimes melting as they returned to the pits. Lotus constructed only four 98T cars for the 1986 season, designated chassis numbers one through four. Senna drove chassis #4 in the final eight races, including the legendary Australian Grand Prix, forever etched in F1 history for its dramatic conclusion. This actual 190E was right in the heart of the action at this time, conveying significant team members to meetings, races and no doubt to the social occasions for which the mid-1980s were famous. This early ownership (Team Lotus subsequently sold on the 190E in March 1989 – according to a Team Lotus headed note-paper invoice, in the car’s history file) ensured the car was dutifully cared for, as you’d expect from an F1 team. It has gone on to have a few more enthusiast-owners over the years, each maintaining it to a high level. It is accompanied by a full-service history that includes old bills, MOTs and tax discs. More recently, in December 2020, the car has had its floors, sills and wheel arches repaired professionally. Overall, this is a very good and solid example that is presented in excellent condition, belying its 130,000 miles and is also reported to be running and driving extremely well. This is a unique opportunity to purchase a 190E Cosworth with significant Team Lotus history, a time when the motorsport legend, Senna, was making his way in F1 and this car was there to witness it.Specification Make: MERCEDES-BENZ Model: 190E 2.3-16V COSWORTH Year: 1985 Chassis Number: 2010342F148553 Registration Number: C502 BEX Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 10298320008187 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 130000 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Black LeatherClick here for more details and images

An exceptional second generation Escort RS Turbo with just 29,264 miles from new. Based on the success of the original model, the Series 2 Escort RS Turbo (produced between 1986-1990) was more suited to daily use, whereas the earlier car was a bit of an 'homologation special'. Many new features were introduced for the S2 including utilising the 1,600cc, fuel-injected, CVH engine taken from the S1 Turbo but now fitted with the Garrett T3 turbo (water-cooled, unlike the S1), revised engine management settings, lower overall gearing, an improved gearbox and limited-slip differential, a larger clutch and improved KE-Jetronic unit and inter-cooler. Suspension and chassis changes included stiffer front and rear springs, uprated anti-roll bars, mechanical ABS and larger brakes. The S2 produced an impressive 132bhp at 5,750rpm, with maximum torque of 133lb/ft produced at 2,750rpm, offering ample performance with a top speed of 125mph and a 0-60mph time of 8.3 seconds. Although on paper these figures were a tad down on the Series 1, the new car was considerably easier to drive quickly and was effectively a faster car.The car presented here is a 1989 Ford Escort RS Turbo S2 (1990-spec) first registered HDZ 2288 on 9th November 1989 and supplied new by Lindsay Cars Ltd, an RS main dealer in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. A little later, it moved to Southern Ireland, from where it was imported to the UK in 2017 prior to being offered for sale by ourselves in 2019. At that point it had covered a mere 29,000 miles, corroborated by early supplying dealer Ford service history and many previous MOT Certificates. At the time (November 2019), we described the car as 'An immaculate example in original unrestored condition, with all original panels and an untouched shell, the engine bay is virtually to show standard, the interior is almost completely unmarked and the car has never been modified from new and remains completely standard'. Our vendor was looking for the best he could find when he bought it and has continued to look after the little Ford to a similar standard, if anything, taking the level of detailing a little further. The alloy wheels have never been refurbished and are still wearing their four original Goodyear NCT50 tyres, the spare alloy and original tyre are unused whilst the luggage compartment looks like brand new. The original Ford exhaust was replaced due to age, with a bespoke replica of the original fitted and the brakes were previously overhauled.During the five years in our vendor's ownership, the car has been stored in a 'bubble' at a respected classic car specialist where it is looked after to a high standard. It will be detailed, serviced and freshly MOT'd prior to the auction so will be in immaculate condition and ready to drive away. It's not a secret that high performance Fords from this era are becoming sought after and we take pride in finding some fabulous examples to bring to market, however this is certainly one of the best examples we have seen and we encourage your inspection at the NEC.Specification Make: FORD Model: ESCORT RS TURBO Year: 1989 Chassis Number: WF0BXXGCABKC87922 Registration Number: G866 ATL Transmission: Manual Engine Number: KC87922 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 29264 Miles Make: RHDClick here for more details and images

A stunning AK 427 Cobra that has covered just 1,527 miles from new and remains in commensurate condition. The AC Cobra needs little introduction, Carrol Shelby’s bright idea of shoe-horning a thumping Ford V8 into the svelte AC Ace spawned not only a capable racer – in both early 289 and later 427 form – but also an instant classic. Sadly for the aficionado, few were made in period and even 'Continuation' cars have been produced in mere handfuls over the years. So, what to do if you need brutal power, a stirring V8 soundtrack and an intravenous adrenalin shot? The answer came from the kit car industry, with an array of self-assembly machinery, amongst which the very best rival an original Cobra for excitement – and quite possibly exceed them for build quality. The AK 427, from AK Sportscars of Peterborough, is one such and was introduced in 1990 due to the demand for a ‘quality’ Cobra replica that provided not only the iconic looks of the AC Cobra but also a standard of finish that was industry leading, designed with flexibility in mind with numerous components available dependent on client requirements. This particular 427 has been completed to the very highest of standards, built around a Generation II Chassis with Jaguar running gear, professionally finished in Cerrion Silver with a classic Cobra interior in Bridge of Muir Caledonian Black Hide complemented by a dashboard full of Smiths Classic instruments.Motivation is provided by an LS3 6.2-litre Corvette power unit mated to a Tremec 5-speed  gearbox providing endless potential when out on the open road. The attention to detail is exceptional and a credit to the craftsmen that have produced this head turning homage. With a recorded mileage at the time of viewing of just 1,527 miles, the car's condition, as you would expect, is outstanding with a fit and finish that is to factory standards with attention to detail wherever you look, exemplified by the stainless steel fixings fitted throughout, the correct style 18" wheels and of course the stainless steel side-pipes that any Cobra replica worth its salt should have in situ. Correctly UK-registered and SVA-compliant, it's accompanied by a comprehensive history file containing AK Sales material, the build manual and numerous invoices. Having been completed to such a high standard, we welcome and encourage your early inspection to fully appreciate the quality on offer and so rarely achieved.Professional images to follow.Specification Make: AK Model: 427 COBRA Year: 2014 Chassis Number: AKG2CPB0213427184 Registration Number: LS60 BRA Transmission: Manual Engine Number: W386897 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 1527 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Caledonian Black Hide Click here for more details and images

A well presented MkI racer, previously campaigned at Goodwood, and ready to race again. While officially never called ‘MkI’, this 1950s Jaguar model spearheaded the iconic British company into the ever-growing small luxury car market at the time. In production between 1955 – 1959, these sporting saloons were officially entitled the 'Jaguar 2.4 Litre' and '3.4-Litre', not Jaguar’s finest model naming, however this didn’t stop the later affectionately named MkI, from becoming a piece of influential engineering that helped shape the company’s future.Factory-supplied with the bulletproof 2.4-litre XK120’s twin-cam straight SIX, providing 112bhp, an impressive figure of the time, Jaguar introduced a more powerful version in 1957, the 3.4-Litre  boosting performance to a sporty 210bhp, pushing the 0-60 from 11.2 seconds to a spritely 9.1 seconds. These powerful 3.4 saloons quickly became prime contenders for circuit racing.A natural track car, the MkI came to dominate saloon car racing at the time, competing successfully in countless rallies, touring car championships and club saloon racing, attracting notable masters behind the wheel including Stirling Moss, Mike Hawthorn, Tommy Sopwith and Roy Salvadori. This highly successful and very well-known 1958 Jaguar MkI Competition Car was built and driven successfully by the late Les Ely, a very experienced classic car racer, closely associated with the Jaguar fraternity as a driver and engineer. It's an original UK-supplied, right-hand drive car, finished in the wonderful colour combination of Maroon with a red leather interior, it really looks the part. The car is beautifully built and prepared and subject obviously to pre-season fettling, spanner checks etc. is all but track-ready with the 3.4-litre XK engine producing a proven 273bhp and the interior being modified in true race car fashion with the addition of bucket seats, roll cage, fire extinguisher, safety equipment and various weight-saving measures. Our vendor purchased the car a few years ago with the intention of going historic racing, but after a couple of track-days and a few nerve-racking moments, he realised that racing wasn’t going to be for him and so the car is set to find its next home. We understand, but interested parties should make their own enquiries, that the car is eligible for a plethora of races across Europe, having previously raced at Goodwood Members Meeting in the Sopwith Cup, including the Mike Hawthorn Jaguar Challenge Series and other prestigious events such as the Goodwood Revival, Spa and the Le Mans Classic. This is a well-built, professionally prepared, competitive MkI racer and would make a great entry into the friendly world of Classic Saloon Car racing. Specification Make: JAGUAR Model: MK1 3.4 COMPETITION CAR Year: 1957 Chassis Number: 5973191BW Registration Number: OFR 315 Transmission: Manual Engine Number: KE.80001-8 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Make: RHD Interior Colour: Red LeatherClick here for more details and images

**Please note the registration number for this car is LB52 XBM.**Beautifully presented first generation Vanquish 2+2 with less than 27,000 miles. An entirely new Aston Martin for the 21st Century, the V12-engined Vanquish Coupé debuted at the Geneva Auto Show in March 2001. Aston Martin's first power unit of its type, the 5.9-litre, 48-valve, V12 engine (first seen in the DB7 V12 Vantage) developed 460bhp at 6,800rpm, with 400lb/ft of torque available at 5,500 revs. The 6-speed gearbox was controlled by F1-style paddles and could be operated in either of two modes: fully manual or computer-controlled automatic, with a Sport setting available on both. The inventory of standard equipment included almost everything the discerning connoisseur could wish for, while the performance - 190mph and 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds – placed the Vanquish firmly in the supercar class. Dominated by an imposing aluminium centre console, the interior featured Connolly leather upholstery and Wilton carpeting, emphasising the Aston Martin heritage, for despite its advanced specification, the Vanquish was built like all other Astons before it - one at a time and by hand. This superb example was supplied new by Grange Motors in 2002 and is exquisitely finished in Forest Green with matching green leather upholstery and was originally optioned from the factory with 2+2 seating, a fire extinguisher, heated front screen, upgraded wing mirrors and front stone guards.Maintained by Aston Martin Works up until 2011, the car was acquired by our late vendor, a friend of Iconic Auctioneers owner, Nick Whale, in that year and he continued to have the car fastidiously maintained by Aston specialists, Bamford Rose, all the way up to his very sad passing in 2020. Since then, the Vanquish has been professionally stored with only occasional use by his widow and consequently still presents superbly. The Aston is accompanied by a comprehensive service and MOT history corroborating the indicated mileage of 26,900 and the condition of the car remains exceptional, as does the value for money that it represents today.NB: The Cherished Registration Number illustrated in our images, PES 51, does not form part of the sale but is available in our automobilia sale - lot 323.SpecificationMake: ASTON MARTINModel: VANQUISHYear: 2002Chassis Number: SCFAX133X2B500411Registration Number: TBATransmission: Paddle ShiftEngine Number: AM3/00451Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 26732 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Green LeatherClick here for more details and images

**Please note the proceeds from this lot will go to the RNLI.**Charity Lot: Offered from Jaguar specialists, Tom Lenthall Ltd, with the hammer price plus Iconic Auctioneers Buyers Premium going to the RNLI, a simply stunning, re-imagined, Jaguar XJ Coupé. Offered without Reserve. Iconic Auctioneers are delighted to support this very interesting charity lot with all proceeds going to the RNLI. The build was a project completed by renowned Jaguar specialists Tom Lenthall Ltd and is now being auctioned in commemoration of Tom’s friend, Emma, who passed away in 2023 from cancer. Affectionately known as ‘Emma, the XJC-R’, this bespoke build has been subject to much media coverage and Jaguar publications over the last year. Various YouTube channels including Drivetribe have featured the XJC-R and has formed a well documented account of this fascinating project and Emma’s story.Basically, the brief from Tom to his technicians was to build a Jaguar XJC Coupé with a nod to modernity, a supercharged engine and modern Jaguar running gear all smoothly blended into the elegant bodywork of Jaguar's 1970s pillarless saloon. With over 400 hours of respected Jaguar knowhow invested in this, to use a modern expression, re-imagined XJ-C, the result is something very special. The original 1977 Coupé had covered less than 100,000 miles and was already a sound example having benefitted from a restoration in the 1990s. It was a great basis to turn this 1970s icon into the refinement of a 1990s Jaguar, starting with the removal of the original 4.2-litre six and its replacement by an AJ16S supercharged six-cylinder offering 322bhp and 378lb/ft mated to a Getrag 290 5-speed manual gearbox. All subframes and suspension are from the mid-1990s X300 XJ with Brembo brakes from the X100 XJR. Other improvements include an Emerald K6 Plus ECU running the fuel-injection and bespoke exhaust system by Fast Road Conversions, with the engine now generating in the region of 370bhp. The full build inventory is too vast to list here but is well documented in the history file and obviously the ten YouTube episodes of 'Jaguar XJC Restomod' will provide lots of answers. In driving terms, this beautiful Coupé is obviously a vast improvement over its heavier 4.2 and V12 stablemates and may well be the way forward in offering the XJ-C, undoubtedly Jaguar's best looking post-war saloon, an extended lease of life.As mentioned before, all proceeds will benefit the RNLI and we cannot think of a more magnanimous gesture by a valued client.SpecificationMake: JAGUARModel: XJC-RYear: 1977Chassis Number: 2J3109BWRegistration Number: YFM 697STransmission: ManualEngine Number: -50387 Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 1955 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Black LeatherClick here for more details and images

One owner from new, just 4,328 miles and excitingly offered without Reserve. The third-generation Supra was introduced in February 1986 as a stand-alone model, officially being separate from the Celica. Whereas the Celica became a front-wheel drive sport coupé, the Supra retained its image as a rear-wheel drive sports/GT car. The new Supra would continue to move upscale and become a showcase for Toyota's technology initially powered by a 3-litre DOHC inline six-cylinder engine rated at 200bhp. Notable features included an electronically controlled independent suspension (Toyota Electronic Modulated Suspension – TEMS) and some came with a removable sport-roof panel (Targa top).On offer here is a UK-supplied, right-hand drive Toyota Supra that was showing zero former keepers on the V5C and an odometer reading of just 4,328 at the time of cataloguing. Presenting as you would expect for such a time warp, low-mileage, original example, the car is fresh to market and excitingly offered without Reserve. The accompanying original Bill of Sale shows that the first and only registered keeper ordered the car at a cost of over £21,000 at the time in August 1988 and it was registered on the 24th August of that year. It's accompanied by both the original and new style V5C, the aforementioned Bill of Sale, some older MOTs and invoices for routine maintenance.Finished in factory Dark Grey Metallic (167) with a light grey leather interior, this automatic transmission example is a real find and we doubt there will be another one out there with this mileage and ownership. Combined with the fact that it's being offered without Reserve, this may well be an unrepeatable opportunity and well worth the trip to the NEC to see this very smart, third generation, naturally aspirated Supra in the metal.NB; This vehicle will be issued with a fresh MOT prior to the sale.Specification Make: TOYOTA Model: SUPRA Year: 1988 Chassis Number: JT1LBMA7000098248 Registration Number: DAZ 4544 Transmission: Automatic Engine Number: 7M0173806 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 4328 Miles Make: RHDClick here for more details and images

A superbly presented, freshly serviced, low-mileage, manual gearbox, 5.3-litre Virage in gleaming Raven Black. Launched at the International Motor Show, Birmingham in October 1988, the sensational newcomer re-stated its Aston Martin V8 forerunner's muscular good looks in the modern idiom, contriving to be slightly narrower yet providing increased interior space. The car was still no lightweight, but with 330bhp on tap courtesy of the trusty V8 engine's new 32-valve top end, was good enough for a top speed approaching 160mph and a 0-60mph time of under seven seconds. Running on unleaded fuel and designed to meet the requirements of a more emission-sensitive world, the fuel-injected, catalytic converter-equipped V8 was suitable for all Aston Martin markets. The Virage continued Aston Martin's tradition of fine craftsmanship with its hand-beaten aluminium body and fine leather upholstery, complementing the highest standards of modern technology applied to the design of chassis and engine. The beautiful 1990 Virage on offer here is a very rare manual gearbox example and has covered a warranted 16,600 miles from new confirmed by its substantial history file. Aston Martin chose a rather unusual colour palette for the Virage when it was introduced, all a bit muted and softly focused for Aston buyer's tastes, however the exception was Raven Black, as we have here, very handsome particularly with a black leather interior, stylish even a touch menacing! The car was purchased by our vendor in 2023 and immediately sent to Charles Hurst Aston Martin in Belfast during September 2023 with our vendor's instructions to go through it completely. There is an invoice from them on file totalling £7,154 covering a major service and lots of small jobs, leaks, gaskets, filters etc. but importantly, five new drive belts and fresh fluids throughout at a mileage of 16,251.The history file contains a large number of documents, AM service and maintenance invoices, old MOTs etc. all carefully filed in its own sleeve and the car is still accompanied by its original spare keys. The Virage, with its brutish good looks, luxurious interior and 5.3-litre V8 engine is coming of age and this superbly presented, low-mileage, manual gearbox example should appeal to any collector of emerging classic cars from the 1990s.NB: The LED odometer display shows an incorrect figure, however, as confirmed by Aston, the manually accessed odometer is correct at 16,600 miles.Specification Make: ASTON MARTIN Model: VIRAGE Year: 1990 Chassis Number: SCFCAM1S2LBR50050 Registration Number: H728 XUV Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 89/50050/M Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 16600 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Black leatherClick here for more details and images

Imported by our vendor from California, the Phase II BJ8 was the ultimate iteration of the venerable 'Big Healey'. The Austin-Healey 3000 MkIII was launched in October 1963 and remained in production until the end of 1967 when production of all Austin-Healeys ceased. Classified as the BJ8, the new model was the most powerful and luxurious of the big Healeys with a Walnut veneer dash, wind-up windows and a 150bhp engine, propelling the car to 60mph in under ten seconds and enabling a top speed of just over 120mph. Improvements to the engine included a revised camshaft, valve springs and twin SU HD8 2 carburettors together with a redesigned exhaust system and servo-assisted brakes. In May 1964, the Phase II was quietly introduced and featured a redesigned rear chassis improving the big Healey's notoriously poor ground clearance.According to its accompanying Heritage Certificate, this splendid Healey 3000 was built between 17th and 20th June 1966 in left-hand drive (North American-market specification), finished in Healey Blue with a navy blue leather interior and fitted with a blue hood. Factory-fitted options are listed as wire wheels, heater, adjustable steering column, laminated windscreen, overdrive, Roadspeed tyres, blue tonneau cover, front number plate and one wing mirror. It was earmarked as a ‘Personal Export Delivery to the USA’ and was dispatched on 4th July 1966. Its first owner was not listed but, according to our vendor, it was owned by a Mr George Burkhardt during the 1990s and was sold to Beverly Hills Car Club in 2014 prior to being purchased by our vendor later that year, having seen it in a car showroom in California whilst on holiday in the States. The Phase II BJ8 was the final development of the legendary ‘Big Healey’ and this example presents particularly well. It retains its original engine and the chassis number matches the Heritage Certificate. The indicated mileage is 53,645 which, looking at the car’s overall condition, may well be correct but naturally can’t be warranted. According to our vendor 'the only thing that has been changed on the car in my ownership is the hood which was custom made by a specialist in 2015. The original hood had severe sun damage with several holes, it was not repairable unfortunately. The hood operation is the best I have ever experienced in a sports car as it can be erected whilst sitting in the car and has just two clips to fix. New tyres were fitted last year'.The bodywork seems in excellent condition for its age with only a couple of small areas of sun damage, the seating is in navy blue leather with contrasting piping, the engine bay appears tidy and the recent bespoke soft top is impressive. It’s accompanied by its V5C, various invoices, the US ‘Pink Slip’ and its most recent MOT ('No Advisories') which expired in June 2018 since when the car has covered just 1,506 miles. This delightful left-hand drive BJ8 has everything going for it - classic colours, chrome wire wheels, overdrive, four seats and years of caring ownership. One of the most iconic Touring Cars from the 'Group A' period of the BTCC and probably one of the most original examples. Iconic Auctioneers are delighted to be asked to present to market this significant piece of British Motorsport history - Tim Harvey’s 'Labatt's' RS500 from the 1989 and 1990 BTCC Seasons. Built by the renowned Andy Rouse Engineering team for the 1989 season, this was a front-running car during the 1989 BTCC season, achieving two wins and third overall in 'Class A'. At the end of the year, the car was shipped to Macau to take part in the annual end of season event and running the Watsons Water livery, this very car won the Macau event with Tim at the wheel. After it’s success in Macau, the same car was used by Tim for the 1990 season, this time with the updated Labatt’s livery achieving third in Class again and fourth overall in the Championship. The car has remained in this original livery as it ended 1990, making it probably one of the most original BTCC 'Group A' examples. After the 1990 season, the car remained in private hands before being shipped out to Australia 2008, where it did only one race in Touring Car Masters. In 2011, it was bought by renowned UK racer, Paul Smith and shipped back to these shores. Paul race-prepared the car for big events like the Silverstone Classic and Gold Cup at Oulton Park and shared the drive with its original driver, Tim Harvey.During Paul’s ownership, a new engine was fitted with modern engine management system (original ARE stamped head and original ECU included) and the renowned ex-Mountune engineer, Dave Hill, has looked after the engine.More recently, the current enthusiast owner has invested in the car to keep it in ready to go mechanical condition. Indeed, last year the car was ran at Brands Hatch at the Touring Car event and was driven round the track in a demonstration run by Tim Harvey. This year, Jonny Smith featured the car on his YouTube Channel, The Late Brake Show, when Tiff Needell drove the car around Mallory Park, a video we highly recommend watching (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqC366iJu8Q).The current owner sends the car to AWS for new oils and filters and inspection every time it runs. The 'Labatt's' now runs Ohlins shocks, all set up by Mardi Gras and all the original shocks are included (Spax). Two sets of original wheels are also included along with a new set on the car with new tyres fitted from when Tim drove it last year at Brands Hatch.Other than these practical recent additions, the car is seen to be totally original, all original paint and graphics, original seat, exactly how Tim finished racing the car in 1990. The vendor had the car ceramic-coated inside and out in the interest of preservation. It lives in a heated bubble since it joined his Collection a few years ago.Due to the fluid nature of Motorsport where constant development is the norm, it’s extremely rare to come across an unrestored 'Group A' racing car with a straight line of ownership and assured provenance, making this a rare find for any collector. Combine this with the fact it could be entered and raced at a variety of high quality events across the world makes this perhaps an unrepeatable opportunity to acquire a significant piece of British Motorsport history.Photo Credit; With thanks to Evo Magazine.Specification Make: FORD Model: RS500 Year: 1989 Chassis Number: NA Registration Number: N/A Transmission: Manual Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Make: RHDClick here for more details and images

With only 25 units ever produced worldwide and one of only six for the UK-market, this special car merges Aston Martin’s legacy of performance with the style and sophistication of cinema's most iconic spy. To celebrate the release of the 25th James Bond film, No Time to Die, Aston Martin released two exclusive 007 special editions inspired by the cars featured in the film. The DBS 007 Edition and the Vantage 007 Edition, each of which was offered in limited numbers, were carefully designed and crafted by the experts in Aston Martin’s bespoke division - Q by Aston Martin.According to the Aston martin website; 'Strictly limited to just 25 production cars available worldwide and featuring the same specification as the muscular DBS featured in the film, the car has a suitably menacing road presence. Inside, the cockpit of this DBS Superleggera is a dark, brooding, leather-clad environment with flashes of red detailing the outline of the seats. Subtle 007 branding can be found on the door cards, armrest buckle badge and on the rear sub-woofer cover. The car is finished with a sill plaque that recognises it is one of just 25 DBS Superleggera 007 Editions. Built on the foundation of the powerful DBS Superleggera, the 007 Edition boasts a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, delivering an exhilarating 715bhp.The DBS 007 Edition adds a raft of styling and design enhancements that further elevate its appeal. The car sports special Ceramic Grey exterior paint with the roof, mirror caps, splitter, diffuser and rear Aeroblade IITM featured in black tinted carbon fibre'.On offer here is one of only six UK-supplied 007 DBS Superleggera editions and it's being offered by its only owner. Lot 230

A three-owner Interceptor that has a recorded genuine mileage of just 9,145, essentially a project but possibly the lowest mileage example out there. Between 1974 and 1976, the Jensen Interceptor III reached the apogee of its development. Two new body styles — the Convertible and Coupé — were introduced and progressively updated versions of the Chrysler 440ci motor were fitted throughout the range. The interiors were revised one last time and a new range of paint colours was introduced before the Jensen factory closed its doors in May 1976.The Interceptor III Series 4 was launched at Earls Court in October 1973 just as war broke out in the Middle East and the first of the oil shocks of the 1970s began. For the next 18 months, the motoring industry worldwide was hit hard. For Jensens, reliant largely on sales of the expensive, gas-guzzling Interceptors, the changed conditions wrought havoc with the financial bottom line and being relatively small producers, were perhaps more susceptible than many. Prices rose rapidly after 1973 with the all-up cost of a UK Interceptor rising from £6,981 in August 1973 to £10,764 by February 1976. Parts and servicing costs went up in parallel, sometimes too fast for the Spares Department to track the changes and faced with passing on these costs, Jensens began meeting buyer resistance and finally closed their doors in May 1976.On a happier note, some two years earlier, this Interceptor III Series 4, 9973, looking splendid in Havana Brown (one of 138) with a beige hide interior was united with its first owner. We move forward to 15th October 1989 when it was purchased by its present owner (the car's third) at which point it was placed into storage with very occasional use, being last taxed for road-use in 1991, some 33 years ago. Now partially recommissioned, it is once again up and running but we suggest that a more in-depth overhaul will be required to return the 7.2-litre GT to the road.Recently removed from storage, our vendor's ill health has prevented plans for a full restoration going ahead but the decision was taken to attend to the various issues that the period of elongated storage had bought to the fore. This has included a new radiator and replacement upgraded cooling fans supplied by Martin Robey, replacement hoses with a new thermostat and thermal switch fitted, the carburettor was overhauled, a new mechanical fuel pump was fitted after the fuel tank had been drained and flushed and all brake calipers were stripped and overhauled with new seals and pistons. Bodily, the Jensen appears to be extremely solid throughout, probably down to the fact that it was undersealed prior to going into storage. Internally, originality is key with little being altered, even the electric windows function and the electric fuel cap release functions as they should. It's accompanied by the factory build sheets, the original handbook and service book, the original tool roll and jack and a history file with older MOT Certificates, various invoices and interestingly, both factory-supplied keys still remain. A superb rolling project that could, with a little work, be used exactly as is or, with a programme of more intense rectification, you could end up with a stunning Jensen that must surely be one of the lowest mileage examples anywhere. Specification Make: JENSEN Model: INTERCEPTOR III Year: 1974 Chassis Number: 9973 Registration Number: GFM 843N Transmission: Automatic Engine Number: 4C12696 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 9144 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Beige HideClick here for more details and images

Owned since 2012 and on offer directly from the second owner with main dealer Mercedes-Benz service history from new and a shade over 26,000 miles. The R230-generation SL was an instant hit following its public debut at the 2001 Frankfurt Auto Show and subsequent crowd-pleasing performance as the F1 Safety Car at the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim in the same year. The flagship models of the range were the mighty AMG models from the wizards at Affalterbach in the form of the V8-powered SL55 AMG and V12 Bi-Turbo SL65 AMG. Both models offered tremendous performance and equally exceptional road holding and ride quality thanks to their advanced 'ABC' suspension system. The facelifted SL63 was launched in 2008 and replaced the previous SL55 model, the supercharged 5.5-litre V8 of the former model making way for the M156 normally-aspirated 6.2-litre V8 as seen in the S63 model. As to be expected with any new AMG SL, the SL63 offered exceptional performance from its 518bhp V8 with 465 lb/ft torque mated to an all new MCT 7-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shift.Supplied in Iridium Silver with an Anthracite leather interior, this example was registered to the first of just two owners on 25th September 2008. Lot 211

Elegant left-hand drive 120 Coupé, powered by an XK140 'S-spec' engine and classically presented in Jaguar Opalescent Silver.  This particular Jaguar XK120 Coupé was originally shipped to the USA in 1952 before distribution through Jaguar Cars New York, remaining there for some time before returning to the UK in 1990, at which point a schedule of works was required to bring the XK back to a standard befitting of such an elegant Grand Tourer.Over the following two years, the body was stripped to bare metal and refinished in Jaguar Opalescent Silver but not before new doors and an alloy boot lid were fitted. Mechanically everything was thoroughly checked and overhauled, including the fitting of a slightly later and more powerful XK140 'S-spec' engine fitted with a C-Type head. Various other works were also completed at this time, including the fitting of a stainless steel exhaust system, a replacement fuel tank with Facet fuel pump, a new wiring loom and woodwork refinished by Classic Veneers.More recently recommissioned after a period of inactivity, the Jaguar now presents extremely well and with a clean bill of health, is ready to be used once again as intended, be that out on the open road, gracing the show field or being left-hand drive it's particularly suitable for European touring. Whatever your requirements, this very sensibly guided XK certainly warrants your early inspection which we welcome and encourage.Specification Make: JAGUAR Model: XK120 FHC Year: 1952 Chassis Number: 680257 Registration Number: FSK 697 Transmission: Manual Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 23174 Miles Make: LHD Interior Colour: Red HideClick here for more details and images

Lot 141

Offered without Reserve and from the Grand Tourers Collection, a smart example and showing less than 70,000 miles. The Grand Tourers Collection was curated by a now deceased gentleman, who amassed some 38 cars at one stage. Each car stands on its own merits, and represents an era of stylish roadsters and hand-built coupés. Offered at No Reserve, the cars are worthy of serious attention. Some cars need no introduction and the Jaguar E-Type is no exception. The Series 2 Jaguar E-Types that were produced from 1969 to 1971 can be identified by their open headlights (no longer with glass covers), a wrap-around rear bumper with the taillights now underneath and the front indicators were larger and similarly repositioned below the slightly heavier front bumpers. The cooling was much improved helped by the enlarged 'mouth'. Series 2 cars also feature twin electric fans and uprated brakes. The engine is easily identified visually by the change from smooth polished cam covers to a ribbed appearance and, for US-spec cars, twin Stromberg carburettors were used. The interior and dashboard were also redesigned, with flick switches being substituted by rocker switches to meet US-regulations.The car we have before us today is accompanied by a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate that states it was built on the 1st October 1970 and factory finished in British Racing Green with beige leather and a black Everflex vinyl roof. With its five-speed manual gearbox it was destined for the United States and distributed there British Leyland, New York.Repatriated on the 1st June 2017 joining the 38 car Collection of the previous owner, as stated by the accompanying V5C. Offered to auction at Without Reserve with a fresh MOT and pleasingly finished in the same colour combination as it left the factory. The perfect car for continental touring with arguably the best engine and gearbox fitted into any E-Type.Specification Make: JAGUAR Model: E-TYPE Year: 1970 Chassis Number: P2R14812 Registration Number: HGU 746J Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 7R14360H Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 69382 Miles Make: LHD Interior Colour: Beige LeatherClick here for more details and images

Lot 144

Offered without Reserve  from the Grand Tourers Collection, with a detailed history file evidencing decades of maintenance and a modest 55,598 miles. The Grand Tourers Collection was curated by a now deceased gentleman, who amassed some 38 cars at one stage. Each car stands on its own merits, and represents an era of stylish roadsters and hand-built coupes. Offered at No Reserve, the cars are worthy of serious attention. The Interceptor was as much Italian as British, designed as it was by Carrozzeria Touring with the bodyshells built by Vignale before being delivered to the West Bromwich factory to be paired with the inimitable 6.3-litre Chrysler V8 and mechanicals. When new, the Interceptor cost substantially more than an Aston Martin and was double the price of an E-Type Jaguar. One would struggle to find a connection between Frank Sinatra and Sir Matt Busby but both drove an Interceptor. The celebrity ownership list is extensive whilst the Interceptor's appearance on a slew of glamourous TV action series during the period gave the car a certain louche, playboy image. The Interceptor III, introduced in 1971, had a revised front grille, headlamp finishers and bumper treatment. It had GKN alloy wheels and air conditioning as standard, and revised seats. It was divided into G-, H-, and J-series depending on the production year. The 6.3-litre 383 ci engine was superseded by the 7.2-litre 440 ci in 1971.Jensen had fallen on hard times by 1975, owing to the then world-wide recession, and to problems with its Jensen-Healey sports car. The company was placed into receivership and the receivers allowed production to continue until the available cache of parts was exhausted. Production of the Interceptor ended in 1976, marking the end of an era.First registered on 1st September 1973, the incredibly detailed history file shows evidence of decades of maintenance from marque specialists, including the renowned Cropredy Bridge Cars. Offered from six year prior ownership, this charming car is presented with an odometer reading of 55,598 miles at the time of cataloguing, along with reams of receipts and a fresh MOT for the sale.A lovely example tantalizingly offered at without Reserve and worthy of serious attention.Specification Make: JENSEN Model: INTERCEPTOR Year: 1973 Chassis Number: 1368858 Registration Number: NRL 620M Transmission: Autoatic Engine Number: 3C11794 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 55598 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Red LeatherClick here for more details and images
