The Dental Mirror of Sir Frederick Seymour, English, c.1882-1895, in silver with engine turned decoration, concave mirror with folding handle that can also be angled, back engraved with the Seymour crest over which is the coronet of the first and last Baron Alcester – Admiral Sir Frederick Beauchamp Paget Seymour, 10.8cm with handle opened out. Note: Admiral Sir Frederick Seymour was the only surviving son of Sir Horace Beauchamp Seymour and grandson of Admiral Lord Hugh Seymour, the 5th son of the 1st Marquess of Hertford. Sir Frederick was created Baron Alcester, of Alcester, Co. Warwick on the 24th November 1882. His peerage fell into extinction on his death on the 30th March 1895.

WWI medal group to 16657 Pte J.H Smith Notts & Derby Regiment, 1914-18 Great War, Victory medal and 1914-18 Star, complete with miniatures with associated paperwork including employment record during the war, discharge certificates, application as station porter, demobilisation account, newspaper cuttings, Welcome Home booklet, 1917 The 12th Battalion Sherwood Foresters christmas card, two Christmas cards from the City and the County of Nottingham "sent as a small token of the high appreciation entertained by the community of the valour and achievements of its fighting men on land and sea". Postcards from the front, letters from the front, a number of French black and white postcards showing the devastation, two black and white photo cards of WWI fighing planes and The Nr 5 Willows Airship, seven photographs of the service locomotive ROD 5604 (mainly used to haul military supply and troops), with the personnel posing in front of the engine. This lot includes a memorial plaque belonging to George Smith believed to be the father of Pte J.H Smith and and a George V Victory medal with Malaya clasp to 2479848 A.C.D Smith RAF another member of this family who fought in the Far East.
