~ 1937 Morgan Super Sport 3-Wheeler Registration number: DVV 5 Date of first registration: 12 02 1937 VIN number: D1732 Engine number: MX2666 MOT expires: N/A V5C present lisiting 3 former keepers Current mileage shown: 82422 990cc Green HPI checked. A rare opportunity to acquire a correct and well maintained, pre-war sports car. Morgan started its journey in a small Malvern garage in 1909; the Morgan Motor Company was formed by Henry Fredrick Stanley Morgan (HFS) and it all started with three wheels. In 1908, Henry Morgan designed and built a car for his own use. The three-wheeler used his own design independent front suspension and was powered by a 7 bhp Peugeot twin cylinder engine left over from an abandoned motorcycle project. Morgan won the Cyclecar Grand Prix at Amiens in France with an average speed of 42 mph for the 163 mile distance. This established the company name and reputation in the world of competition and the car became the basis for the Grand Prix model from 1913 to 1926. This evolved into the model we have here today, the Aero. This stunning right-hand drive 1937 Morgan Super Sport 3 Wheeler has been in a private collection and in long term ownership. She is presented in traditional racing green with a black interior. It comes equipped with a 3-speed manual transmission, 900cc Mathles's V-Twin engine, dual side exhaust, soft top, Tonneau cover, and wire wheels. Paintwork and interior are in excellent order, as are the wheels and tyres. The condition can only be described as wonderful, sporting all its correct dials, lights and switches, a very original machine indeed. Eligible for popular VSCC events and light car racing, this is a very rare and highly collectible Morgan which would make a great addition to any classic car collection.

Lot 277

~ 1926 Morris Cowley Registration number: VM 2490 Date of first registration: 01 01 1926 VIN number: 128281 Engine number: Not known MOT expires: N/A V5C present listing 3 former keepers Current mileage shown: 2365 1479cc Green HPI checked. Bicycle manufacturer William Morris introduced his first car, the immortal 'Bullnose' Oxford, in 1913, starting a tradition of Morris Oxfords that was to continue right up until 1971. A cheaper Cowley version was launched in 1915 and quickly gained such an enviable reputation for reliability and build quality that, by the end of the 1920s, Morris had become Britain's largest car manufacturer holding a 51% share of its home market. The first Oxford models had 8.9hp White & Poppe engines but by 1919 these had been superseded by Coventry-made 11.9hp Hotchkiss engines which gave easy 50mph performance. A more conventional flat-fronted radiator replaced the distinctive 'Bullnose' type in late 1926, by which time the car had also gained four-wheel brakes. Easy to drive and maintain, the spacious and sturdy Oxford and Cowley models became Britain's most popular cars until sales were finally overtaken by the diminutive Austin Seven. With many body styles on offer, one of the prettiest was the two-seater model with dickey rear seat. This model on offer is of that layout and is often thought of as the prettiest of the Bullnose range. We are delighted to offer this two-seater model with dickey seat. Although off the road and in dry storage for many years, the car would benefit from recommissioning. Finished in dark green, the leather interior is nicely patinated consummate with its age and later paintwork which has been completed to a very good standard. The nicely trimmed Dickey seat works as it should and the car comes with a good hood and decent tyres. All in all this is a very pretty example of the iconic Bullnose, mechanically sound and ready to use. Also eligible for the many Edwardian car and VSCC events held regularly through the year.

Lot 280

~ Swift Motor Car Registration number: ER 7982 Restoration Project. During the First World War, the Swift factory produced munitions, Renault and Hispano-Suiza aircraft engines, military bicycles and other war equipment. In 1919 the company joined the ill-fated Harper-Bean organisation and changed its name to Swift of Coventry Ltd. Production was then concentrated on the four-cylinder 10hp and 12hp models which were renowned for their reliability. Although Swifts had their faithful followers, by the late 1920s their hand-built cars could not compete with the mass-production methods of Morris, Austin, and Ford, whose similar cars sold for only half the price of Swifts. In spite of producing a cheaper 8hp model, the Cadet, with a Coventry Climax engine and a centre-change three-speed gear box in late 1930, this was insufficient to save the company and the factory closed its doors for the last time in April 1931. The car is an 8hp tourer, a very charming and capable four-seater open pre-war car, now a rarity even in the Swift Owners' Club. Although a rolling car with engine intact, some panels and interior have been removed but are with the car. This is a project car and offered for sale incomplete; suffice to say there are a great deal of spares with the vehicle; by repute the spares were removed from the vehicle during the early stages of restoration. A rare opportunity to acquire the basis of a straightforward restoration and when completed the car will make a very eligible vintage vehicle for VSCC events up and down the country.

We are pleased to offer a very nice, original example of this iconic sixties' saloon. Finished in stunning black with contrasting red vinyl interior, the car can be described as a very smart and rust-free example. Paint is flat with a deep shine with no signs of corrosion, chrome and stainless are smart. Interior although a little grubby is in good original order with correct seats, instrumentation, and door furniture. Again, this is a low mileage, long ownership car forming part of a truly eclectic collection of British and American vehicles.

1960 MGA MK1 Roadster Registration number: 653 XVC Date of first registration: 01 01 1960 VIN number: GHNL76515 Engine number: RM536630 MOT expires: 09 05 2022 V5C present listing first registration in the UK 01 09 2018 Current mileage shown: 61,798 1600cc White Superb left-hand drive body off restoration with detailed history and photographic evidence; full list of photographs With British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate dated 4th July 2001 HPI checked Condition Report:Officially launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1955, It was a complete departure in styling and its beautiful streamlined bodywork was as curvaceous and attractive as anything from Italy or France. The modern look required a modern engine and, with the old XPAG unit getting a touch long in the tooth, the shiny new 'B-Series' engine recently debuted in the new Magnette saloon, seemed to fit the bill. The appeal of the MGA was quite staggering, in the first full year of production in 1956, more than 13,000 cars were built, which far exceeded the entire production achieved over a four year period with the TF.   Presented in old English white this beautiful left hand drive example has underwent a comprehensive and expensive restoration in recent times.  Every aspect of the car has been addressed from a first class respray to a total interior makeover to a very good standard, including new leather, carpets and trim. The chrome work has all been refurbished to a very high standard and she sports a new hood. The wheels have been refurbished and new tyres fitted.Mechanically she appears to be in excellent order, starts and drives well and at a glance under the bonnet it is clearly obvious all auxiliaries have been either refurbished or new fitted where necessary.   There still remains a correct originality to many aspects of the car including dials and switch gear giving the car a period feel. All in all a very correct and beautifully restored example of what is now nearly a seventy year old motorcar.

~ 1953 MG TD Roadster Registration number: OKC 898 Date of first registration: 21 05 1953 VIN number: TD27753 Engine number: XPAGTD2/28078 MOT expires: N/A V5C present listing 2 former keepers Current mileage shown: 79877 1250cc Black Original RF60 log book present Previous MOT certificates on file: 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004 HPI checked . No introduction is needed for this iconic and popular post-war classic. With its development firmly rooted in the 1930s, the MG TD had all the grace and styling of its pre-war predecessors but has the benefit of post-war upgrades and practicality. This wonderful original example has been just released from long-term ownership. The paint can be described as good with some age-related marks and wear. Interior is complete and correct, sporting all its original fixtures and fittings, switch gear and seats. Chrome work is tarnished in places but delightfully patinated. The seats would benefit from leather treatment and, although old, definitely add to the car's authenticity and overall presentation (passenger squab needs attention). Wheels and tyres will require attention and a program of mechanical checks would need to be implemented in order to recommission this car responsibly.

Lot 287

1960 Rover 80 Registration number: 145 YUV Date of first registration: 30 03 1960 VIN number: 645001661 Engine number: 6450011723 MOT expires: expired 2018 V5C present listing 7 former keepers Current mileage shown: 60582 2286cc Black HPI checked.Condition Report:.  First registered on 30/03/1960 to C Worster Ltd of Wellingborough, this is one of less than two hundred still on the road in the UK.  It had extensive renovation in 1987, including bodywork, engine and gearbox, and further work in 2000 and is in immaculate condition with the underside being completely free from corrosion.Only 5,000 '80' variants of the Rover P4 were produced in 1960 and 1961.  Most P4s had six cylinder engines but the 80 has the 2286 OHV engine found in the Land Rover. An extremely well presented quality motorcar with bags of originality. With excellent paintwork and chrome, showing only light wear to door handles.Front and rear screen rubbers are original and perished, though do not appear to be leaking.Wheels and tyres are in excellent order suggesting it has been recently fitted with new rubber all round. The interior is charmingly original and the leather seats are in very nice order.Interior woodwork finish is a little flat but all in all an beautifully presented interior.Mechanically all the evidence suggests this is a well sorted and maintained car, ready for the road. The vehicle has been dry stored by a local owner for the past five years and only used in good weather.  Its current and previous two owners were members of the Rover Drivers' Guild and have cherished the vehicle. The engine, gearbox and overdrive function smoothly with no known faults.  The vehicle has had an annual safety check since the requirement for MOT was removed.  The original registration mark of the vehicle was VRP 48, with this number being sold at some stage and the current one issued by the DVLAThe history file would indicate that the current mileage of 63,000 is possibly genuine, although the current owner makes no claim to this effect.

Repainted at some stage in its life to a good standard with room for detailing and improving this car will make a show contender with some elbow grease. The interior is very nice with no real signs of wear or damage, chrome work can be described as good with light tarnishing consummate with age .As you would expect from a vehicle that has been off the road for some years it will need the usual recommissioning work to make it road worthy. ~ 2004 Maserati Cambiocorsa 4.2 Coupe Registration number: J16 MMF (cherished number) Date of first registration: 14 04 2004 VIN number: Zambc38C000012959 Engine number: 82848 MOT expires: N/A V5C present listing 9 former keepers Current mileage shown: 87222 4244cc Blue HPI checked. This 2005 Maserati 4200 Coupe is a very smart example of the Giugiaro-style grand tourer, presented in its handsome factory colour scheme. It is powered by the characterful Ferrari-built 4.2-litre F136R V8 engine, producing 385bhp, with rear-wheel drive via the six-speed Cambiocorsa automated-manual transmission with paddle shifters. The car forms part of a private collection and has been off the road for several years. Although in generally good condition, it requires some recommissioning work to make it road worthy. Presented in light blue with cream leather, the paintwork is in nice original condition with no evidence of rust or serious damage. There are, however, some scratches on the near side door and evidence of peeling lacquer or the rear bumper. The interior is generally in reasonable order with some cracking and discolouration to the leather seats and door trim. There are some scratches to centre consul trim and dash switches. The front light covers have become crazed and cloudy and there are the usual stone chips to the front end you would expect with a car of this age. Wheels have some kerb damage to the edges and tyres are worn. Mechanically it starts and runs well but may need some servicing work before it is ready for the road due to warning lights on the dashboard. The Maserati GT Coupe currently are a great investment and prices are now starting to climb as they have been recognised for their beauty and pedigree.

Lot 295

~ 1989 Toyota MR2 MK1 Registration number: F274 UFV Date of first registration: 05 01 1989 VIN number: JTICoAW1100147940 Engine number: 4A1394033 MOT expires: N/A V5C present listing 1 former keeper, same ownership since 09/08/1989 Current mileage shown: 37750 1587cc Red Original low mileage car 2 previous MOT certificates on file: 1998 - 37,759 miles, 1997 - 37,740 miles With purchase receipt dated 1989 from Toyota Park Engineering Co (Nelson) Ltd for the sum of £12,200, mileage 9,000 HPI checked. The Toyota MR2 is a two-seat, mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car manufactured in Japan and marketed globally by Toyota from 1984 to 2007, over three generations: W10 (1984-1989), W20 (1990-1999) and W30 (2000-2007). From its original design, the car evolved into a sports car and Japan's first mid-engine production car. Further prototypes were tested both in Japan and in California, including significant testing on race circuits including Willow Springs. Heavily influenced by Italian sports cars of the era, such as the Fiat X19 and Ferrari's 308 GTB, Toyota designed an affordable sports car, far removed from anything else on the market at that time. The series 1 MR2 (W10) is now recognised as a truly brilliant design with bulletproof reliability. Being mid-engined, the handling was precise and the styling revolutionised car design for ever. This series one car has emerged from a twenty year slumber and can only be described as in remarkable original condition. Showing only 37,000 original miles, the car has been owned virtually from new. The interior is excellent, though would benefit from a professional valet. The paint is original though shows signs of micro blistering in localised areas and there is some like damage in the form of small dents on top of the rear wing (damaged in previous storage). With some servicing work there is no doubt this MR2 could make a stunning and rare show contender.

1996 Mercedes E200 Auto Estate Registration number: N888 COL (cherished number) Date of first registration: 09 02 1996 VIN number: WDB1240792F332574 Engine number: 11194022040086 MOT expires: 28 10 2021 V5C present listing 1 former keeper Current mileage shown: 114359 1997cc Silver Original Mercedes Estate with excellent history and copy of original invoice MOT certificates 1999-2011 inclusive and 2016 Service and spares invoices from 1999-2015 Original owner's manual HPI checked . Boldly Germanic, this Mercedes Benz 200TE comes from an age in car production when engineers had the last say rather than the accountants. This wonderful and clean example of this well-built classic estate is finished in silver with contrasting blue interior. The paint work is original with no signs of wear or corrosion, exterior plastic trim in good order too. The interior is very nice showing some wear consummate with age. The wheels would benefit from a repaint but are currently disguised with plastic trims and tyres are about 50% worn. The car starts and runs well, though a loose exhaust heat guard causes a loud vibration on revs. On the open road it is responsive, smooth and corners very well. This is an extremely practical classic and owners reluctantly sell good examples. W124 popularity is climbing rapidly due to the huge prices of its predecessor, the W123 Estate. Here is a car that has serious cool appeal but can be used as an everyday economical workhorse.

Lot 299

2004 BMW Z4 2.2 SE Convertible Registration number: LE04 PYU Date of first registration: 30 07 2004 VIN number: WBABT12040LP79515 Engine number: 26885670 MOT expires: 27 January 2022 V5C present listing 2 former keepers Current mileage shown: 95,725 2171cc Black HPI checked. BMW has a long history of making roadsters all the way back to its roots. The BMW Z4 arrived in 2002 to replace the BMW Z3 introduced in 1995. At first, the Z4 was only available as a roadster, however, in 2006 the German producer launched the coupe version. The Z4's body dimensions were larger, and its wheelbase was longer and wider. The suspension was also upgraded to be stiffer, and the car was equipped with a sport package which firmed up the steering. This very well presented 2005 model finished in black with black leather interior. The build quality of the Z series has long been celebrated and it shows in this particular example. Paintwork is original and in a very presentable state, as is the interior and trim. The rubber window seal shows signs of age and is perished and there are some small scratches to the paintwork on the lower part of the near side door. The hood is in excellent order with no damage or discolouration. Wheels show signs of age and tyres are about 50% worn. The car is described as running very well by the vendor and selects gears smoothly.

1970 Triumph Herald 13/60 Registration number: CXE 604J Date of first registration: 07 09 1970 VIN number: GE73285CV Engine number CE79818HEA MOT expires: 25/02/2022 V5C present listing 10 former keepers Current mileage shown: 94077 1296cc Red This example appeared in Last of the Summer Wine, driven by Thora Hird HPI checked. The Triumph Herald was introduced by Standard-Triumph of Coventry in 1959 and made through to 1971. The body design was by the Italian stylist Giovanni Michelotti, and the car was offered in saloon, convertible, coupé, estate and van models, with the latter marketed as the Triumph Courier. Total Herald sales numbered well over half a million. The Triumph Vitesse, Spitfire and GT6 models are all based on modified Herald chassis and running gear with bolt-together bodies. In October 1967 the range was updated with the introduction at the London Motor Show of the Herald 13/60. The 13/60 was offered in saloon, convertible and estate-bodied versions. The sun-roof remained available for the saloon as an optional extra rather than a standard feature. The car has been subject to a comprehensive restoration. Paintwork can be described as excellent, finished in striking red with a deep, flat shine probably better than its original factory finish. The interior appears to be original and in wonderful condition with gentle wear in localised areas consummate with age. Carpets have been recently replaced and the hood is in excellent order and operates as it should. Triumph Heralds have, for a long time, been undervalued but nice examples are exceeding the 10k mark. This is an opportunity to acquire a beautifully restored and maintained example with TV history giving it the edge over most Heralds on the market today.

Lot 1

1995 PERAVES SUPER TURBO ECOMOBILE, Chassis number 5055, Engine number 925.406.065A rare opportunity to purchase a 'feet forward' motorcycle designed by Arnold Wagner and produced by the Swiss company Peraves. The Ecomobile was designed on aerodynamic and aircraft principles, it has a monocoque chassis formed of Kevlar, and a glider type screen. It is a two-seater with seat belts and there is a small amount of room at the rear of the vehicle for a small amount of luggage. The Ecomobile has a BMW K100 engine and transmission which is mounted at the rear with BMW forks at the front. The controls and instruments are also BMW and all BMW parts were supplied new from the BMW factory. The controls are very similar to a motorcycle except for the foot clutch and the hand control gear box which is modified so that the first gear is reverse, and the four remaining gears are forward. The two wheels which act as stabilisers are lowered and raised at the driver's instigation. They use a patented mechanism worked by a modified starter motor. When not in use the stabilisers are raised to the side of the vehicle and in the event of the vehicle dropping then it comes to rest on the retracted wheels. It cruises at somewhere between 100 and 120mph and has a top speed of approximately 150mph.89 Ecomobiles were made between 1985 and 2005. This vehicle, made in 1995, appeared on the BBC's Top Gear television programme in April 2008 (and can still be seen with a very youthful Jeremy Clarkson on You Tube). It was purchased, secondhand, by the current owner directly from Arnold Wagner in 2005. It is believed that there are approximately five Ecomobiles currently in the UK. There are a number of Ecomobile owners in Switzerland and Germany and a few in the United States of America. The current owner commented "I bought mine in 2005 from Arnold Wagner in Winterthur and drove it home, using the Chunnel, arriving on 7/7, in the middle of the bomb attacks. I had planned on doing 2 full days of training but it was raining and I was busy, so ended up with one afternoon. Once you get moving it is pretty easy to drive, the challenge is the transition from 4 wheels to 2 and remembering to adjust for camber when you put the wheels down. As a glider pilot the seating position and excellent view feel very comfortable and natural. Wherever it goes it always draws a crowd of friendly folk asking what it is. I commuted round Hyde Park corner a few times but in truth it is a better cross-country machine than for fighting your way through traffic. Long fast sweeping bends are pretty close to automotive heaven. You just drive round anything in the way. Nothing can match the ability to corner at speed - cars, big bikes, supercars. All disappear behind quite quickly. I hope someone will use it and enjoy it for what it is - a very special, rather brilliant mode of rapid transport. Not well suited to a family with a bunch of young children, although my middle son did ask me to drive it to school and park it right outside so all his friends could see it."The current owner advises me that it was last started three years ago. The vehicle has been taxed and insured in the UK and had a UK MOT which has now expired. The sale includes a file of documents, owner's and service and technical manual etc. Note: This lot is sold "as seen, as is and where is" and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.
