1994 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Transmission: manual Mileage: 95515The Chevrolet Camaro was classified as a pony car and as a muscle car with some versions. The fourth-generation Camaro debuted in 1993. It retained the same characteristics since its introduction in 1967 a coupé body style with 2+2 seating (with an optional T-top roof) or convertible reintroduced in 1994, rear-wheel drive, pushrod 6-cylinder and V8 engines. The standard powerplant from 1993 to 1995 was a 3.4 L V6, then a 3.8 L V6 was introduced in 1995. A 350 MPFI (LT1) Small Block V-8 engine, which was introduced in the Corvette in 1992, was standard in the Z28 the 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission was also standard on the Z28, yet optional on the V6 models which came with a 5-speed manual as standard. This desirable manual gearbox Z28 with the full fat 5.7 litre V8 is presented in Blue with Grey trim but wrapped in an individual camouflage finish which certainly stands our… or should we say blends in. This example was first registered in the UK in 1997 but noted as a 1994 production date. Offered with a UK registration certificate and MoT test certificate until February 2022 this six speed manual also benefits from the T top roof perfect to heat that V8 on summer drives.Guide Price £4,000 - £6,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Lot 102

1967 Fiat 850 Idromatic Transmission: manual Mileage: 22100With its small, rear-engine 850 model doing well in the marketplace, for 1968 Fiat introduced an improved version, designated 850 Special. The 850, which had been new for 1964, featured an 843cc water-cooled four at the rear, and a four-speed transaxle, fully-synchronized with Porsche synchros. It developed 34 bhp, 37 in a high performance version. Seating was comfortable and a top speed of 75 mph was comparable with some 1100cc cars like the Morris Minor or Ford Anglia. At the 1965 Geneva Motor Show a fastback coupé was introduced, a 2+2 with 47 bhp engine. A sporty spider was also available, designed and built by Bertone. This adorable little Italian ‘town car’ is presented in white with red interior and is in good condition throughout. The current keeper has owned it for circa six years and has driven it sporadically over this period and has kept it garaged. This delightful mid-engine classic is practical, fun and is offered without reserve.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 103

1991 Nissan Figaro Transmission: automatic Mileage: 138481The Nissan Figaro is a front engine, front wheel drive, two door, 2+2 convertible manufactured for model year 1991, and marketed in Japan at Nissan Cherry Stores. Initially a production run of only 8,000 units was planned, however demand was exceedingly high and after two increases in production schedules a total of 20,073 Figaros were manufactured, all in right hand drive format as they were intended solely for the Japanese market. Even with the greatly increased production numbers, demand was so high that potential purchasers had to enter a lottery to win the chance to buy one. Based on the Nissan Micra K10 platform, the Figaro features a turbocharged 980cc engine, mated to a three-speed automatic gearbox. As a fixed profile convertible, the upper side elements of the Figaro's bodywork remain fixed, while its fabric soft top retracts in conjunction with a solid panel with a glass heated rear window. This retro classic is presented in Emerald Green, being one of only four colours in which they were produced; Topaz Mist (autumn), Emerald Green (spring), Pale Aqua (summer) and Lapis Grey (winter). It has ivory leather seats with contrasting piping, air conditioning, CD player, chrome and Bakelite-style knobs, soft-feel paint on the dashboard top, chrome-trimmed speedometer with smaller inset gauges for fuel and engine temperature; and chrome-trimmed tachometer with inset clock. A super little car from the Japanese manufacturer, offering open top motoring at a fraction of the price of its rivals.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 104

1962 Daimler DQ450 Majestic Major Transmission: automatic Mileage: 97298Motor Sport magazine described the Daimler Majestic Major as having sportscar performance and indeed it did, remaining stable at over a reported 120mph. The coachwork was built by a subsidiary company, however, called Carbodies at a different pace than other cars at Browns Lane on another production line that was ‘hand-moved’ in order to maintain quality. This was the final flowering of a tradition that reaches back to the very dawn of motoring, of building superbly engineered cars of understated luxury and quality. The Majestic had been originally powered by a rather sedate 3.8 litre, six-cylinder unit, but the Major was the first and only application for an ambitious and potent 4.5 litre, V8. Output was over 220bhp, which gave this very substantial luxury saloon a startling 0-60mph time of 9.7 seconds, very considerably faster than its two-seater contemporary, the MGA. Power was delivered through a three-speed Borg Warner automatic gearbox, and the designers also wisely incorporated disc brakes. 2600FN is a very impressive example of what is now a rare car. It returned to the UK in 2019 after spending some years in a substantial collection in central Italy. Since then, it has undergone an engine rebuild at a cost of some £7,000 and now demonstrates the driving qualities which hugely impressed the Motor Sport magazine road tester, (rather to his surprise, it must be said), in 1961. Coachwork is well finished in a dark claret colour which complements well the lavish chrome bright work, while the interior retains the original and very high-quality leather trim and carpeting although the typically handsome walnut wood capping should benefit from repolishing after some six decades. A rare, rewarding and pleasing example of an uncommon and underestimated model.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.Interested parties should note that new kingpins and Rema bushes have been supplied and fitted. The engine and gearbox have also been removed and stripped down, crank shaft polished, block honed and new big-end and main bearings, rings and seals fitted with valves ground. The gearbox has been stripped with the supply and fit of clutches and seals. Additionally, clean rocker shafts, adjusted tappets, and new carburettor diaphragms have been fitted as well as new brake pipes, calipers, pads and ancillaries all totalling £9,586.

Lot 105

1996 Mercedes-Benz E320 Coupé Transmission: automatic Mileage: 144035The W124 is the Mercedes-Benz internal chassis-designation for the 1984 to 1995/96 version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, a mid-sized car with exceptionally high build quality. Much of the 124's engineering and many of its features were considered advanced in the field of automotive technology at its introduction, incorporating innovations that have been adopted throughout the industry. It had a single windscreen wiper that had an eccentric mechanism at its base that extended the wiper's reach to the top corners of the windscreen. Fuel injection was standard and the engines incorporated features that maximised performance such as an oxygen sensor in the exhaust system which could make the engine run more efficiently.Originally registered on 20th March 1996, this E320 coupé is finished in metallic blue with beige leather trim. She starts on the button and, to be expected from these well built motor cars, runs and drives well. Supplied with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until 13th April 2022. Offered for sale without reserve, this car could make a good run around for a very modest outlay.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 106

2001 Mercedes-Benz SLK 320 Transmission: automatic Mileage: 53641At start of the 1990s, after the introduction of their two-seat, grand-tourer R129 SL and the Mazda MX-5, Mercedes-Benz set out to create a new compact roadster, slotted below the SL. By late 1991, under Bruno Sacco, the first design sketches were drawn and scale models being built in the first half of 1992. Massively successful in its first year, worldwide sales hit 55,000, over double the entire nine-year production of 190 SLs and between 1996 and 2004, over 311,000 SLKs were sold. The roof design consists of a folding steel hardtop with both halves linked by a mechanism which is locked securely when the roof is closed. At the touch of a button on the centre console, a hydraulic system controls the fully automatic folding process in which the boot lid is also integrated. This SLK 320 was originally supplied on 31st May 2001 and is finished in striking metallic green with a two-tone interior. The 3199cc V6 engine starts promptly when requested; she both runs and drives well. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 30th March 2022, this Mercedes-Benz is offered for sale with its private number plate and without reserve.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 107

1975 MG B GT Jubilee Model Transmission: manual Mileage: 64303Conceived in the late 1950’s and launched in 1962, the MGB would turn out to be one of the most successful sports cars of all time. The B carried on MG’s traditional role of providing affordable sports car motoring for the ordinary enthusiast. The popularity of factory hardtops for its MGA predecessor and the success of the Coupé variant influenced the decision to produce a closed version of the MGB that would provide the increased practicality and refinement which was being demanded by the maturing sports car market. Styled by Pininfarina, the MGB GT coupé arrived in 1965 to be greeted by universal acclaim. The adoption of a stylish fastback bodyshell enabled the provision of two occasional rear seats which, when folded flat, created a generous load platform accessible by the rear tailgate. The more robust five-bearing B-series engine was fitted to the GT right from the start and when Abingdon finished production, over 125,000 MGB GT’s had been built. The MGB’s popularity remains undiminished, one of the major factors being the continuing availability of spare parts and expertise, making it one of the easiest classic cars to run and maintain.Originally registered on 1st August 1975, this Jubilee Model MGB has only had three former keepers from new. After a period in storage the car has recently been recommissioned and mechanically starts on the button and we are advised she drives well. The green paintwork will require refreshing and the wheels are also in need of refurbishment. However these limited edition MGB’s are well worth the time and effort. Of the 751 examples manufactured, one was destroyed in an advertising stunt that went wrong and it is thought about half of them remain. Complemented by V8 wheels and supported well by the various car clubs, this MGB GT is offered for sale without reserve.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 110

1985 Ford Escort XR3i Transmission: manual Mileage: 34599Launched in March 1986, with only a small number of changes over its predecessor, optional new features included a mechanical anti-lock braking system (standard on RS Turbo models), a fuel computer on fuel-injected models and a heated windscreen. These changes were welcome at a time when the Escort was faced with a host of new competitors; General Motors had brought out a new version of the Vauxhall Astra 18 months earlier, shortly after Volkswagen had introduced the Mk. II Golf. As well as an all-new interior, a new derivative of the CVH engine was introduced, as well as numerous suspension tweaks to address the long-standing criticisms of the Escort's handling and ride quality.Originally registered on 1st August 1985 this XR3i is finished in red with grey velour interior. The coachwork is in good order and shows no sign of corrosion. The engine burst into life when requested and we are advised she drives with no known faults. With only two former keepers, the current registered keeper has owned her since March 2008, clearly this has been a well-cared for example throughout its life. The mileage of 34,599 is thought to be correct although not warranted, the condition is certainly commensurate with such a low mileage example. Sitting proud, sounding great and looking superb, this Escort XR3i is supplied with a V5C registration document, a full year’s MoT test certificate, together with some invoices, this is an opportunity to purchase one of Dagenham’s finest models. Interested parties should note that the dashboard on this vehicle has some sun damaged and will require replacing.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 111

1970 Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce Transmission: manual Mileage: 30601The first of Alfa Romeo’s Bertone styled coupés, the 1.6 litre Giulia Sprint GT, was launched in 1963. Mechanically the stylish new 2+2 was much the same as the Giulia TI sports saloon, featuring a five-speed manual gearbox, independent front suspension, coil-spring live rear axle and disc brakes all round. A 1300 model, the GT Junior, arrived in 1966 and the range was further extended the following year by the launch of the 1750 GTV, the latter powered by a 1,799cc, 118bhp version of Alfa’s classic twin-cam, four-cylinder engine, in a four-headlight version of the existing bodyshell running on 14-inch wheels. A short lived but nevertheless popular model, the 1750 GTV underwent a minor mechanical and styling revision part way through production before being replaced by the 2000 version in 1972. More powerful than the 1600 but sweeter running than the 2000, the 1750 is the choice of the Alfa Romeo enthusiast who knows their GTVs. Driver’s cars par excellence in the Alfa tradition, Bertone’s timelessly elegant Giulia coupés are among the most exciting sports saloons of the 1960s and today all versions are highly sought after. This lovely, rare, right hand drive Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce is in very good condition throughout. A condition report written for a previous owner in 1998 tells of the body being restored and new wings fitted. Supplied new with Webasto sunroof with a very rare deflector, a clock and outside temperature gauge. This 1750 GTV has been very well maintained, and no expense spared by the two previous owners over the last 24 years. The car is finished in Biancospino with black interior and comes supplied with a UK V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in December 2021, a large history file containing invoices from Alfa specialist Gran Turismo, Andrew Thorogood and Titus Rowlandson of Victory Garage showing all the work carried out since 1998, old MoT’s dating back to 1996, the early condition report and an article relating to the Alfa GTV. The current owner has just had the Alfa Romeo GT Junior rubber over rugs fitted to protect the carpets, he also reports that everything works on the car. This represents a rare opportunity for an Alfa Romeo enthusiast to own one of these eminently collectible models.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 112

1988 Vegantune Evante Series 1 Transmission: manual Mileage: 33450Renowned worldwide for its successful racing engines, the Spalding-based firm of VeganTune diversified into car making in the early 1980s with the Lotus Elan-inspired Evante, a separate company - Evante Cars Ltd - being set up to handle its manufacture. Although Elan-like in appearance, the glassfibre-bodied Evante employed a stronger, tubular-steel spaceframe chassis rather than the Lotus’s backbone type and was powered by VeganTune’s own Ford-based VTA twin-cam engine. Producing 170bhp and 140lb/ft of torque from its 1.7 litres, this engine, with its belt-driven camshafts and accessible water pump, was reckoned much easier to maintain than the Lotus version. Only produced to individual customer order, the Evante failed to weather the late 1980s recession. After only a limited number had been made, the operation was sold to a consortium of Spalding businessmen, which continued production of the Evante 140TC. In the autumn of 1992, Evante was sold to another specialist vehicle manufacturer – Newark-based Fleur De Lys Automobile Manufacturing Limited – which re-engineered the chassis to accept the 1.8 litre Ford Zetec 16 valve engine. This rare example of this British sports car is presented in Metallic Blue with blue leather interior with attractive Walnut dashboard. The car has had just four owners from new, the last one keeping the car from 1997 to 2021. This included new upgraded bearings and pistons, reworked big valve head and camshafts, twin 45mm twin choke carburettors, new stainless steel exhaust and upgraded Spax adjustable coil over shock absorbers. 1976 Jaguar XJ6 Series II (3.4 litre) Transmission: automatic Mileage: 45542The first XJ was launched in 1968, a designation which has been used for successive Jaguar flagship models ever since and was also the last Jaguar saloon to have had the input of Sir William Lyons, the company's founder. The XJ6, using 2.8 litre and 4.2 litre straight six-cylinder versions of Jaguar's renowned XK engine, replaced most of Jaguar's saloons which, in the 1960s, had expanded to four separate ranges. Power-assisted steering and leather upholstery were standard on the 2.8 litre De Luxe and 4.2 litre models. An unusual feature, inherited from the Jaguar Mk. X and S-Type, was the provision of twin fuel tanks positioned on each side of the boot and filled using two separately lockable filler caps. This super stylish Jaguar was originally registered on 15th April 1976. The car appears to be in good all round condition showing no real signs of corrosion in all the usual places. As a base model 3.4 litre Jaguar, this car was fitted with automatic transmission as a factory option. The velour trim was standard and indeed shows very little sign of wear. Wind-up windows are still on the car; electric windows were an expensive cost option on this model. We are advised by the vendor she drives well; these Series II examples are full of character and charm. Offered for sale without reserve.Guide price £9,000-£12,000 Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1968 Sunbeam Alpine Series V Transmission: manual Mileage: 129519The Sunbeam Alpine was launched in 1953 as the first vehicle from Sunbeam-Talbot to bear the Sunbeam name alone, since the 1935 takeover of Sunbeam and Talbot by the Rootes Group. Ken Howes and Jeff Crompton were tasked with doing a complete redesign of the Alpine in 1956 with the goal of producing a dedicated sports car aimed principally at the US market. The Series V Alpine was produced from 1965 through to 1968, the final version having a new five-bearing, 1725cc engine with twin Zenith-Stromberg semi-downdraught carburettors producing 93bhp.This particular example is presented in traditional Old English White with a black interior and a black manual folding hood. The car sits on a set of Minilite wheels and the interior enjoys a walnut dashboard, wood steering wheel and its lively 1725cc engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox. This is the last in the series of these highly popular and pretty little British sports cars and are a delight to drive. 1961 Jaguar Mk. II (2.4 Litre) Transmission: manual Mileage: 63000Synonymous with the swinging ‘60’s and the hit TV series, Inspector Morse, the Jaguar Mk. II saloon has been used as a vehicle to transport everyone from dignitaries and politicians to bank robbers and the criminal select. Desirable due to being a well-balanced saloon car with space for four adults and a good size boot, it also boasted engine options including the mighty Jaguar 3.8 litre power unit; small wonder it became popular as a getaway vehicle. When released, traditional Jaguar buyers had no need to feel alienated by the new offering from Coventry as the interior was up to their usual standards with leather and walnut being the order of the day. With 112bhp available, the 2.4 was not overly burdened with pace so, importantly, coupled to a manual gearbox with overdrive it would be the more frugal of the range but give the driver the ability to utilise the full range of the 2.4 engine.Presented in the splendid colour combination of British Racing Green over a green leather interior, this lovely Mk. II has been part of a private collection for some years. Offered in generally very good order throughout, the paintwork is bright and shows very few blemishes as does the interior, the seats show a light patina and the wood dashboard is well. The history file that accompanies the car includes numerous receipts and MoT test certificates as well as the current V5 registration document and an old style buff logbook. The vendor reports that this smartly presented example runs and drives well and we believe it is offered at a very attractive estimate indeed. Interested parties should note this vehicle is listed on HPI as a category D Insurance loss dated 29th April 2001.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1968 Daimler 250 V8 Saloon Transmission: automatic Mileage: 70358This example of Daimler’s 1960’s line-up utilised the powerful 2.5 litre, V8 engine made famous in the 250SP. This model range, launched in 1962, was effectively a rebadged Mk. II but the engine was a silky-smooth power plant mated to a standard automatic gearbox. It was tested by Britain's Autocar magazine in 1966 having a top speed of 112mph. Other differences include a Daimler fluted grille, rear number plate surround, wheel trims, badges and interior details. In 1967, it was renamed the V8-250 and differed in relatively small details such as sleek, slimline bumpers and overriders, an alternator instead of a dynamo and twin air cleaners; one for each carburettor. Other new features included padding over the instrument panel and reclining split-bench front seats.Originally leaving the Brown’s Lane factory in November 1968 painted in classic Jaguar red, this Daimler was then repainted in 1998 in the current and striking maroon colour you see today. Sitting on original steel wheels, this late model example complete with spats and slim-line chrome bumpers, presents with complementary tan leather interior, and walnut door cappings and dashboard. The chromework requires some attention and viewing is recommended prior to bidding.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1966 Mercedes-Benz 250 S Transmission: automatic Mileage: 23622Premiered at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 1965, the initial model lineup of the W108 consisted of the 250 S, 250 SE and 300 SE, as well as a sole W109, the 300 SEL. Engines for the new car were carried over from the previous generation, but enlarged and refined. The 250 S was the entry-level vehicle fitted with a 2496cc straight-six M108 engine, with two dual downdraft carburettors, delivering 130 bhp at 5400 rpm which accelerated the car from standstill to 62 mph in 13 seconds and gave a top speed of 113 mph. Approximately 130,000 of the 250 S/SE models were built during the first two years of the W108/109's existence.Bill Wyman, founder member of The Rolling Stones, purchased this classic 'stacked headlamp' Mercedes-Benz 250 S Saloon and it was delivered to him on Monday 22nd August 1966. This was the first Mercedes with curved black windows. Although Mercedes-Benz had rejected Bill's order for black windows, a company in West London removed the 250's windows, they were curved not flat, took a mould and commissioned Pilkington to make special glass to fit. Then of course I got stopped all the time, Bill recalls. Though the police usually just wanted to see who was in it. Bill used the car frequently until 1969, when The Rolling Stones were not in the studio or touring, to help relax; being a keen photographer he would drive around the country taking photographs. After selling her in 1969 and purchasing a number of other Mercedes-Benz along the way, he purchased the car back in 1991 from a lady in Bury St. Edmunds, sadly the car was in poor condition. Having a real soft spot for this 250 S, Mr. Wyman commissioned a restoration project in 1997 which was undertaken by Tony Davey, a classic car specialist with a good reputation and vast knowledge. After the restoration, KYM 585D was stored as part of Bill Wyman’s private collection and was subsequently sold in June 2015.Still in good order throughout, this Mercedes-Benz benefits from owners that have loved and cherished her. These ‘stacked headlamp’ models are extremely handsome and highly sought after, particularly in this condition and with such an interesting history. Supplied with a V5C registration document, together with confirmation of Bill Wyman’s ownership, this Mercedes-Benz 250 S is offered for sale at a realistic estimate given the restoration cost of such an example.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1983 Porsche 928 S Transmission: automatic Mileage: 71047These fabulous sports cars were unveiled at the Geneva Salon in 1977 and voted Car of the Year for 1978. It was intended as an upmarket replacement for the long-running 911 but in the event Porsche's rear-engined classic would outlive its younger sibling. The front-engined 928's stylish hatchback body featured aluminium doors, bonnet and front wings in the interests of weight saving, while ingenious impact resistant 'bumpers' made of colour matched plastic were incorporated into the nose and tail. A five speed transaxle gearbox or three speed automatic were the transmission options, in 1980 the 928S with its 4.7 litre engine arrived and then in 1986 the model was further revised and restyled, becoming the 928 S4. Its engine producing 320bhp courtesy of twin-cam, 16 valve cylinder heads and enlargement to 4,957cc, the S4 enjoyed a welcome top speed boost to 160mph.The car was originally supplied by Charles Follet Ltd of 18 Berkeley Street, London W1 and registered on 3rd March 1983 to Mr. Peter Bowles of Castlenau, London. 2004 Mercedes-Benz E320T V6 Estate Avantgarde Transmission: automatic Mileage: 20300The 2003 E-Class was larger than its predecessors while offering less interior space, particularly in the estate version, than the W210 it replaced. 1969 Mercedes-Benz 600 SWB Transmission: automatic Mileage: At one point in time, Mercedes-Benz built, arguably, the finest luxury automobiles in the world. In its post-war recovery, they shifted focus towards more practical family saloons, followed by cars of a more sporting nature. By the early 1960s, however, Rudolf Uhlenhaut felt the time had come for Mercedes-Benz to re-establish itself as a builder of ultra-premium models, ones where, in his words, “costs were of secondary importance.” The impressive Mercedes 600 was born with its unconditional hydraulic system that operated the windows, power seats, sunroof, doors, boot, suspension damping and ventilation system. While lesser vehicles used electric motors to regulate many of these functions, the Mercedes-Benz engineers believed that if cost was not an object, hydraulic systems, would be smoother, quieter and longer-lasting.This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a Mercedes-Benz 600 in need of extensive restoration. Imported from Connecticut USA, this Mercedes comes with a completed NOVA application and UK taxes paid. The bodywork and interior are largely complete and the vendor reports that the engine turns. A solid base for restoration, this 600 comes with many original panels and parts and we are sure would make for a very rewarding project for the new custodian.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction.
