1956 Peugeot 176 TC4Reg. no. 496 UXMFrame no. 176TC4 318378Engine no. 313249After the war Peugeot concentrated on making good, solid, economical, utilitarian motorcycles for the general public and the military. The 176 TC4 was one of their more popular bikes and certainly the military liked them for their reliability and ruggedness. This very nice Peugeot twin port was part of a consignment of bikes that were destined for the French Army and it was first registered in the UK in 2003. Judging by its condition and odometer reading 2083, (not guaranteed), it has had little military use. The owner describes the bike as in generally very good order having undergone some sympathetic minor restoration including a brake and engine service. It has 12volt electrics powered by the magneto and runs well on a 15/1 two stroke mix. The original French army designation plate is under the UK number plate held on by wing nuts for easy removal when being displayed at shows. This Peugeot was running prior to being sold by us last year, but it hasn’t moved since that purchase, and now returns to the market.Comes with – a current V5C and a photocopy of its workshop manual.Estimate: £1,300-1,500To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 1946 BSA B31Reg. no. UAS 490Frame no. XB315654Engine no. XB314966This B31 has been in current ownership for about eight years and was last run around Christmas 2022, but due to excess fuel, a small fire ensued causing sight damage to the paint on the petrol tank. Our vendor describes the engine and gearbox as still very strong. UAS 490 was restored in 2003 and it still presents well, despite the slight fire damage; we understand that the electrics require attention. This B31 is offered with a V5C.Estimate: £1,650-1,850To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 1986 Nissan 300ZX Z31Reg. no. E660 CNLChassis no. JN10HGZ31U0030368Engine no. VG30-071737Transmission: ManualMileage: 69,913MOT: Expired For a period of time the world forgot about 1980s Japanese sports cars, but these are now coming back with a bang onto the classic car market. The first generation of 300ZX, the Z31, was built from 1983 - 1989, offering buyers that typical retro sports car wedge shape with iconic pop-up headlights. With a drag coefficient of just 0.31 and Nissan’s first mass produced V6, the VG30, the car had good performance for the era. The 2+2 Coupe in 1986 featured some pre facelift parts but also some older parts as the model evolved, making it a unique year for these cars. This version of the Z car featured cruise control, electric mirrors and electric windows. This example with the 3-litre V6 NA engine, features a manual gearbox and glass T-top. It has been stored in a barn for a number of years whilst having sporadic work carried out. The paintwork has taken sun damage over the years, quite typical with a red car, but the underside looks to be solid having had some recent welding and the bodywork is quite straight. It has done very little mileage since 2018. The car runs and drives with the engine running smoothly and the gearbox selecting all gears. The interior also remains in good order aside from the driver’s bolster. The only aftermarket parts that appear to be fitted are a stainless exhaust system, cone air filter, radio and a Nardi steering wheel (original included). It has been sat for some time so the car will require some restoration, but it is a great base for what is now a very rare vehicle. The sale includes a number of spares, a V5C logbook as well as a large folder of history including old servicing and parts receipts. Previous work includes replacement of an outer sill, inner arch and section of the floor in 2021. It also received a timing belt in 2017 and an alternator in 2019 but appears to have very little use if any during current ownership. There seem to a number of parts receipts from Japan which suggests that many items are still available to buy.Estimate: £4,000 – 6,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. Viewing is welcome prior to sale and all cars are sold as seen, condition reports can be requested on each lot by contacting us direct. Lots are not available to buy prior to auction. 2006 Porsche 911 997 Carrera S ConvertibleReg. no. AY06 KLEChassis no. WP0ZZZ99Z6S762682Engine no. 68613594Transmission: ManualMileage: 100,482 (3,500 Since Engine Rebuild)MOT: January 2024 The Porsche 911 is known for being the everyday sports car with people able to use it to commute to work or take to the shops but, at the same time, enjoy a weekend drive or a cruise across Europe. With its unique rear engine, flat six drivetrain and unchanged shape since its first generation, they have been popular for good reason, for decades. The 997 generation was produced from 2004 – 2013 and was well received by both the public and motoring journalists worldwide. It has a sleek look with the headlight shape giving a nod to older generations of 911. The 997 shared just a third of its parts with the previous generation of 996 and as a result felt very different to drive. The Carrera S version like this example, had improved suspension, larger brakes and a 3.8 flat six producing 350bhp pushing the car to 62mph in just 4.2 seconds and the usual German speed limiter of 155mph.Having been part of a collection for a number of years, this manual, 997 convertible, has been very well looked after and dry stored with its current owner. It also shows just two previous owners on the V5C document. The black leather interior with silver trim presents well, whilst externally the body sits in black with black roof, silver 19” lobster fork alloy wheels and the red Porsche brakes standing out behind them. The car received a complete engine rebuild in 2018 by renowned Porsche specialists Hartech to the tune of £8,500 with a complete run down of the build included in the car’s paperwork, it has only done 3,500 miles since. Original Porsche manuals are present, as is service history and other paperwork including parts receipts and old MOT’s.These are fantastic cars. They sound superb, have a really nice manual gearbox and go as well as they should. Any new potential owner will not be disappointed with this example.Estimate: £22,000 – 24,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 2000 Ford Racing PumaReg. no. W657 AVWChassis no. WF0CXXGAECYR13644Engine no. YR13644Transmission: ManualMileage: 85,180MOT: June 2023 The Ford Racing Puma could be considered a homologation special. However, unusually, the car was designed to commemorate Fords success with the car in motorsport as opposed to a competition car. It was a way of showing the world its motorsport technologies through a production-based car. With 1000 units planned, just 500 were ever built for the UK market with all conversions being carried out by the famous motorsport outfit, Tickfords between 1999 and 2001.The stunning imperial blue colour of the Racing Puma really made the wider, aluminium factory arches stand out, but these builds were not just about looks. The cars weighing in at just 1174kg, sport an Alcon brake setup at the front, a stronger IB5 gearbox and shafts, as well as uprated cams, air intake and exhaust system. Despite only producing 155bhp from its 1.7 Zetec engine, the little feisty Puma still pushes from 0-62 in 7.8 seconds. The handling was left to Ford’s specialists at Boreham to fettle with a certain Stig Blomqvist reportedly spending a large amount of time helping the team refine the handling on the little coupe. In period the S1400 and S1600 rally cars were piloted by the likes of David Higgins and Sebastien Loeb as Ford further cemented itself in the world of motorsport. This particular example has been kept as part of a rally family’s collection for some time and has only seen 1000 miles in the last 14 years; the V5C document shows just two previous owners. It has had some recent recommissioning work, the front bumper has been painted, and overall, the car remains in very original condition, having averaged just 3,500 miles per year. It is in good condition mechanically and the interior is in fantastic order with the Alcantara wheel and seats looking factory fresh. Every Puma Racing was numbered with this particular car sporting number 0318 on its manifold which is also reflected in its original owner’s guide supplement. The sale includes a large amount of history with original stamped service book, a large number of parts and service receipts, many of which are from PumaBuild and a current V5C document. This is a great opportunity to own a well-presented example of a limited build, motorsport based, Ford collector’s car.Estimate: £20,000 – 25,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. Viewing is welcome prior to sale and all cars are sold as seen, condition reports can be requested on each lot by contacting us direct. Lots are not available to buy prior to auction. 1934 Lagonda Rapier Abbott TourerReg. no. VS 2718Chassis no. D10667 (V5C states incorrectly 15667)Car no. 10667Engine no. D2416The Rapier was the smallest offering by Lagonda in the 1930s, and it was fitted with an all-new 1104cc twin overhead camshaft four-cylinder engine. Consultant designer Thomas Ashcroft was given the not inconsiderable task of producing ‘Britain’s finest 1100cc engine’. The engine was originally intended to be cast in light alloy but to save cost it was eventually made in cast iron using the original patterns. A respectable 50bhp was produced and engine production was sub-contracted to Coventry Climax; the power unit was complimented by a four-speed pre-select gearbox and Girling rod brakes. Most cars like this example were fitted with bodies by Abbott Ltd of Farnham. This Rapier was first registered in December 1934 in Greenock, supplied by Burton & Tweedy in Scotland. There are gaps in this Lagonda’s early history, but we understand that it changed hands several times during the 1960s, it went from Rugby to Trumpington, South of Cambridge and by 1964 was in Yorkshire, heading to New Ellerby in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The next owner of the Lagonda was in Holme on Spalding Moor, East of York, it was then briefly in Hessle and the car then saw the 1960's out with John Edward Bec registered at RAF Driffield. After three decades off the road, the Lagonda’s next owner embarked on a sympathetic restoration. He spent several years working on the car, getting it running, re-commissioning the mechanicals and coach painting the body to an acceptable standard. The Lagonda was finished in early 2007. The car had a great many mechanical improvements in 2021, but overall, the body and paintwork do require some improvement. This example is offered here with a file of papers including a continuation buff logbook, various recent bills and a V5C.Estimate: £28,000 – 35,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. Viewing is welcome prior to sale and all cars are sold as seen, condition reports can be requested on each lot by contacting us direct. Lots are not available to buy prior to auction. 1989 Ford Sierra RS CosworthReg. no. G381 KWJChassis no. WF0FXXGBBFKR01249Engine no. KR01249Transmission: ManualMileage: 72,000 In the early to mid-1980’s Ford had realised that their success in the world of rallying had dwindled after a very successful period in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Stuart turner, head of Ford Motorsport Europe and Walter Hayes, vice president of public relations at Ford at the time got their heads together and began to form the design and plan for the Ford Sierra. Throw in the mix the vice-president of Cosworth, Ken Kohrs and you have a potential cocktail of great automotive minds to ultimately produce the next generation of successful Ford engines in the form of the YBB turbocharged Cosworth. The 2nd version of the Sierra Cosworth remained in 2WD with a more sales friendly 4-door shell. Ford carried out extensive testing with the Sierra Cosworth, pre-production and as a result received reasonable success in both Group N and Group A form in rallying all over the world. The model was piloted by famous drivers such as Francois Delacour, Massimo Biasion and of course the legendary Jimmy McRae. With great motorsport success came brilliant public sales and the Cosworth was well received in both the UK and Europe. This original looking example is finished in Moonstone Blue and fitted with factory alloy wheels and radio; this iconic Ford is well presented with better than factory paintwork and stunning black leather interior with steering wheel, gear knob and carpet in near immaculate order. It boasts an engine bay that presents extremely well, with the stand-out red rocker cover and Garrett turbo mounted proudly next to the engine. The underside has also received restoration and has been protected for the future.  With just two previous owners, restoration was carried out recently by a rallying family and this car sits on just 72,000 miles. This particular example is in absolutely fantastic condition and would complement any collection.A fantastic example that any blue oval or motorsport enthusiast would aspire to own. A current V5C document is included, old MOT’s, as well as original Ford manuals including the service book stamped up to 69,829 miles. There is also a vast number of parts and service receipts, many of which are from RS specialists, Castle Performance Engineering. The car would only benefit from re-trimmed front door cards and an MSD cooling fan harness as this seems to be currently intermittent.Estimate: £32,000 – 35,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. Viewing is welcome prior to sale and all cars are sold as seen, condition reports can be requested on each lot by contacting us direct. Lots are not available to buy prior to auction. 2003 BMW E46 M3 ConvertibleReg. no. M300 AHHChassis no. WBSBR920101EH78404Engine no. 61022931Transmission: SMGMileage: 94,958MOT: August 2023 The BMW M division have been at the pinnacle of motorsport and performance production cars for decades. Certainly, a fantastic motorsport heritage has worked hand in hand with extensive M car sales worldwide. The initial concept of the E46 M3 began in 1997 and production ran for six years from 2000 – 2006.The E46 was the 3rd generation of the M3 line up and it did not disappoint with its fantastic S54B32 NA straight six engine and muscular body panels that set it aside from other E46 models. Among other German and Japanese cars, with which it competed, it stood out from the crowd. With nearly 340bhp and a redline of 8000rpm, the RWD NA car in coupe and convertible form would accelerate from 0-62mph in just 5.1 seconds offering high performance.Despite its performance focus, the interior is a lovely place to be as you would expect from BMW. This particular example has black leather with the door cards and dash having silver accents, which in turn compliment the Titan Silver exterior with black roof. Both interior and exterior remain in very good condition for what is now a 20-year-old car. The car has been a part of a collection for the past six years and has only done 2,000 miles since 2016.Recent work has included a full overhaul of the SMG gearbox which upon inspection required 2nd gear synchro and hub assembly. The front propshaft assembly was also changed, and the SMG system was reprogrammed as well as a new clutch and flywheel package. This work was completed at 93,856miles. The current V5C shows eight previous owners, there are two spare keys, plus a history folder that includes a number of parts and service papers with previous MOT certificates. The M3 registration number is included with the sale of the vehicle.Estimate: £10,000 – 12,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 1913 Straker Squire 15HPReg. no. SD 1726Chassis no. 3168Engine no. 3168Straker & Squire as the company was first known, was established in Fishponds Bristol in 1906 and remained there until 1918 when they relocated to Edmonton, London changing the name to Straker-Squire Ltd. Sidney Straker however had been involved with road vehicles from 1899 when he was producing a steam wagon with Edward Bayley and then with LRL Squire and by 1906 approx. 200 Straker steam vehicles were in use. The firm entered the petrol engine market in 1906 by importing the French built Cornilleau-STE Beuve and marketed them under their own name. Plans were made for Straker to build these cars, but they changed tack and instead produced a 2020cc car designed by Roy Feddon, later Sir Roy. By the time of the 1908 Olympia Motor Show and following some improvements, the car was marketed as the 14/16hp and then for 1910, the stroke was lengthened and renamed the 15hp. For a comprehensive history of the Straker Squire Company we recommend reading an article by the renowned motoring historian, the late Mike Worthington-Williams. The article can be found in The Automobile Magazine dated May 1990 with the second part in the June 1990 issue, of which there are copies in the file.  SD 1726 is on the front cover of the May issue and many accompanying photographs inside. This early Straker Squire was delivered new to the Ayrshire region in Scotland. According to research, it is likely that it carried a four-seat open body. In 1929 the car was retired and dismantled, for ease of storage, and the mechanical parts were stored in a stable. Unfortunately, the body was removed and apparently burnt. At this time, according to a continuation logbook the car was registered to a Mrs. Anne Fletcher of Hillhead, Kilbirnie, Ayrshire. The chassis and majority of the original mechanical components were acquired by a Cyril Herbert of Andover, he embarked on a restoration and built a narrow 2-seater open body based on the design of an original body supplied by the firm. The car then went to Suffolk in 1985 and was used for a short while by the brother of the owner until another early car joined the stable. In the early 1990s a further comprehensive restoration was started but stalled. In 2017 the restoration gathered pace and was passed to a professional restorer who finished the work in March 2018. The body built in the 1950s appears to have been discarded when other period parts were acquired. An original ash frame of unknown make was repaired with new wood where necessary. Original metal parts used include a bonnet, boot lid and driver’s door. The coachwork was then finished in the original dark blue with the interior trimmed in black leather button-back upholstery. The hood sticks are fitted to the car, but a covering will need to be made and fitted. There is also room in the boot for a dickey seat to be fitted to provide extra seating. The car carries a full complement of CAV electric lighting with the correct control panel mounted on the dashboard, and a range of instruments including a Smiths 0-60mph speedometer. Discreetly fitted to the dashboard is a more modern key fitting to operate a starter motor, fitted for ease of starting. This has been fitted so it can be easily removed should a new owner wish to go back to handle start. There is an extensive history file with the car which includes much correspondence with other Straker Squire owners. Although SD 1726 has not been officially dated by the VCC, the car does hold an Events Passport enabling it to be used in their many events. This would have to be renewed by the new owner, but we do not foresee any problems doing this. There is also evidence in the file that the car was presented for formal dating by the VCC, but due to the ongoing restoration at the time the formalities were never completed. A letter from the Late Malcolm Jeal, then Chairman of the Dating Committee, confirms that the Club accepted a valid date of 1913. This process would need to be concluded with the VCC to obtain the Dating Certificate. There are also many copies of period photographs of both touring and racing cars, some old MOT certificates and the aforementioned continuation logbook detailing previous owners. Period literature includes a 1912 15hp sales catalogue, a 1913 catalogue of component parts, a 1910 15hp sales catalogue, a later 1922 sales catalogue, a 1913 Straker Squire lubrication booklet, a framed and glazed original shares certificate and a framed and glazed original advert for the make. Also included in the sale are many useful and unobtainable spares. These include the major part of a 15HP engine, gearbox, complete rear axle, a correct radiator, a couple of wheels as well as two doors from the original destroyed coachwork. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to acquire a quality, desirable 4-cylinder English Edwardian motor car which, as well as being useable, would be a welcome addition to VCC events.Estimate: £38,000 - 42,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 1990 Mini Competition Rolling ShellReg. no. H194 FWMChassis no. 81430Mileage: Unknown The Mini needs no real introduction as one of the most iconic British cars of all time. With production running from 1959 – 2000, huge volumes of the car were made. Today this results in a very affordable classic with so many parts at reasonable prices that you could actually build one from a parts catalogue.Owned since 2016, this strengthened shell had a ground up restoration starting in 2017 and the focus was to make it into a capable track car/hill climb/sprint car. As if a Mini is not light enough already, this one was fitted with fibre glass panels such as roof skin, rear valance and clubman front end as well as polycarbonate windows. The interior has been kept to a minimum with safety devices 6-point roll cage, Sparco Sprint Bucket Seats, Corbeau Harnesses and a deep-dish steering wheel. The interior looks brilliant with its carbon fibre sheet dashboard, door cards and rear parcel shelf. A 7-gallon alloy, foam filled race fuel tank sits in the rear with VDO level sender and Facet gold flow fuel pump. Custom hard-line fuel and brake lines have also been run internally. In terms of handling the car has received a vast list of upgrades. The rear subframe is poly bushed, KAD alloy handbrake quadrants, Minifin alloy brake drums, Hi-Lo adjustable cones, red dot rubber springs, KAD adjustable camber/castor brackets and Spax adjustable shock absorbers. Whilst the front subframe is solid mounted with strengthening bars, heavy duty adjustable tie rods, adjustable bottom arms, Hi-Lo adjustable cones, vented 7.9” discs with four pit Minisport calipers as well as quick rack. The car sits on 6”x10” GB Alloy wheels with Yokohama tyres. The car has previously been MOT’d and used on the road, however in recent years it has only been used on the track so will require a fresh MOT. Although the car was run with a Yamaha R1 engine, it is sold as a rolling shell without engine or transmission and prepared for an A-series to be mounted. Although it has had all the fabrication work to take an R1 engine so with correct subframe one of these could easily be refitted. Having owned the car for six years and had it featured in January 2023 Mini Magazine the vendor has now decided to sell and move on to another car.Estimate: £5,000 – 6,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 1999 Suzuki VitaraReg. no. T574 SHUChassis no. VSEETV01V01208139Engine no. TBCTransmission: ManualMileage: 37,533MOT: January 2024 The first generation of Suzuki Vitara had a very successful life span worldwide with production running from 1988 – 1998. Being lightweight, rugged and spacious, it is also more than capable off road, it was the perfect tool for many people. Smooth and useable on the roads but when the bad weather came in or you needed to use it for all-terrain purposes, the AWD and gearbox with high and low ratios would get you about with ease. Being such a versatile vehicle, they have all been well used and very few survive today that have not had a hard life. This 3-door hard top example in blue over silver, a typical 1990s Japanese colour combination, has been with its current owner since 2011. It has exceptionally low mileage at just 37,533 miles with the online MOT history seemingly supporting this.Mechanically the car Is in good order with the 1600cc petrol engine and high/low range on the gearbox working as it should. Although the interior remains in good order the exterior could do with some attention in order to appear more presentable. A great purchase to be used and enjoyed by its new owner with a recent MOT passed, or a great entry level collectors’ car that could well rise in value in the future after some improvement. It is noted that the driver’s side window requires a new mechanism and it would benefit from original mirror glass being fitted.Estimate: £1,500 - £2,500To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 1934 Humber 12 Cross and Ellis TourerReg. no. ANF 14Chassis no. 6275Engine no. 6381Like many other car makers in the Midlands, Thomas Humber started making bicycles first in Nottingham, then Beeston before acquiring factories in Coventry and Wolverhampton where he made the Safety Bicycle from 1886 onwards. Humber Ltd Coventry was formed in 1898 and the first vehicles produced were basically The French Leon Bollee which they built under license. In 1903 they introduced the very successful Humberette which was powered by a single cylinder De Dion Bouton engine. By the end of 1906 Humber was one of the largest car manufacturers in Britain. In 1928 Humber bought their neighbours Hillman and in 1932 both names were acquired by the Rootes Group.Under Rootes ownership the models moved up-market. The smallest car was the 1669cc Twelve. A variety of bodyworks were offered on this chassis of which 8486 were made. It is believed this example is one of seven made with Cross and Ellis open coachwork. The car was bought by the present owner in 2017 as a partly restored project and then restored over the next 18 months. The car was returned to its original blue colour, a buff logbook in the file has blue crossed and substituted with white, and the interior trimmed in navy. The bodywork is in excellent condition and we are informed by the owner that the car runs and drives well. The original hood is in situ.; the side screens are present, but they are yet to be restored. The car comes with a current V5c, a buff continuation logbook, an original 1933 Humber Spares Catalogue, original 12 instruction book, original Lucas running instructions for lighting and starting equipment for Humber cars, and other period and copies of advertising for the car.Estimate: £12,000 – 15,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 1969 Ford Escort Mk1 YB Cosworth TurboReg. no. JXC 293HChassis no. BB44JR39796Engine no. YB 2WD Sierra CosworthTransmission: ManualMileage: 2,200 (Since Restoration) previously Approx. 74,000 Not only was the Mk. 1 a national best seller of the 1960’s, but it will be forever etched in the minds of motorsport fans for being successful in both the rally world and on the race track, in fact, often considered the most successful rally car of all time. By 1974 2 million Mk. 1’s had been built, 60% coming from UK production. Ford were so enthralled in their motorsport success, many competition options were available from factory, especially on AVO cars. This particular car evokes the looks of an early rally car but has a sting in its tail in the form of the later Sierra turbo YB Cosworth engine and running gear. Built from the ground up in recent years, the steel AVO bubble arches are believed to be factory fitted and the car was built on a GT shell. The car Is being sold from a large collection which includes two other Escorts also in our sale. As a result, the car has been well looked after and dry stored since its restoration, only covering just over 2,200 miles in that time. The Ermine white paint with blue Ford Motorsport decals compliment those muscular arches that you would find on many competition cars in period, whilst Compomotive wheels wrapped in track tyres and the iconic 4-spot light front end finish off the motorsport look on the outside. Another rare inclusion on this car are the folding front quarter windows which were fitted on very few Escorts. The louvres cut into the bonnet give passers by the idea that everything may not be quite standard under the bonnet. Within the fresh white engine bay sits a YB Cosworth Turbo, freshly built in 2015 by Lee Marshal Engine Developments. The builder says the engine should be capable of around 450bhp. The build featured RS500 thick wall block, WRC spec cylinder head, BD14 cams and 8:1 ratio pocket pistons. A T35 Garrett turbo with larger internals and ball bearing conversion is mated to the engine. The engine bay really looks the part with a blue rocker cover, blue silicone hoses and a host of alloy parts including a large radiator.Mounted in the boot is an alloy rally fuel tank as well as a motorsport fuelling setup. The rear end is built with a baby atlas axle with Quaife diff, custom 2-piece shafts, Cosworth 4x4 discs and callipers. During the rebuild the 2WD Sierra gearbox was also reconditioned. The car also features AP callipers upfront and Bilstein ‘group 4’ suspension all round. This fantastic example of a Mk. 1 is ready to use on track, road, competition or taken to shows. Not one for the purists but certainly one for the driver with over £50,000 spent on its rebuild. The interior is just as well presented as the exterior with Safety Devices bolt in roll cage, bucket seats, harnesses and Sparco steering wheel. It also includes a motorsport centre dash panel, adjustable brake bias valve and a Race tech 2 digital dash so you can understand what is going on with the engine at all times. The sale includes a current V5C document as well as a large folder of history which includes a vast amount of receipt for parts and servicing, old MOT’s as well as an RAC competition passport from when the car was in GT form with a picture showing it with steel AVO arches even back then. It does look like a passport was issued but the car never competed.Estimate: £28,000 – 32,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 1980 Xpack Kitted Ford Escort Mk2 YB CosworthReg. no. DNL 188WChassis no. BBATAA815570Engine no. YB 2WD Sierra CosworthTransmission: ManualMileage: 2,500 (Since Rebuild) 45,101 (Indicated)MOT: April 2023 The Ford Escort Mk. 2 is known worldwide for being one of the best rally cars of all time as well as seeing great success on race circuits as well. Even to this day it is one of the most used rally cars in the United Kingdom and Ireland. This Mk. 2 Ford may not be one for the purists but is certainly one to evoke the thoughts of both blue oval enthusiasts and retro car lovers alike. Sitting Ford Motorsport colours on a Zakspeed style X pack kit, those great box arches make the Mk. 2 so pronounced it looks like it wants to burst out of its own body. The X-Series options were offered by Ford to budding purchasers from the factory with this particular square body kit included, as well as the alteration of the front nose cone for the Mk. 2; although this particular kit is a copy of the original it looks fantastic and is well fitted. Engineer in a turbo Cosworth engine and mount it in a fresh engine bay, you have yourself, arguably one of the coolest retro fords around today. Now being released from a large collection this very car could be yours. The car was originally purchased as a project and built from the ground up to the visual greatness it sits as today. The car has covered less than 2,500 miles since it was built and has been part of car collections with its two previous owners. The impressive spec. includes a YB Cosworth turbo engine with a 3” stainless exhaust system running approximately 280bhp, 2wd running gear from a Sierra Cosworth and a MT75 gearbox. The rear end has had a popular 4-link axle conversion, coilovers fitted and a 2.4 quick rack added. It also sports a rally fuel tank, wildwood brakes with braided brake lines and fuel lines, whilst the car sits on Image alloy wheels. The interior consists of a bolt in roll cage, cobra bucket seats and RS2000 dash clocks. The engine bay is just as stunning as the rest of the car with its clean white finish and the engine with blue rocker cover complimented by silicone hoses and alloy engine parts. Due to little use and being stored in the dry the underside of the car also remains in good order. The boot is filled with rally spec alloy fuel tank and competition fuel system. The sale includes a photograph album of its original build process along with some MOT history and current V5C document showing 11 previous owners.Estimate: £28,000 – 32,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. They were produced across the world from 1948-1951 in the UK, Switzerland, New Zealand and even Australia. This Velox was purchased purely for the use in a family member’s wedding and has seen little work since with the odd Sunday drive out and then put into storage when not in use. The blue paintwork presents well, accented by white wall tyres and chrome trim. The leather interior looks recently trimmed and features blue piping, complimenting the blue carpet. The engine seems to run smoothly although the column shifter linkages in the engine bay do needs some work as it does struggle to engage gears. With a little work this unusual British saloon car offers pre-war luxury in a post-war elegant saloon. 1952 Riley 1.5 RMEReg: RVT 80Chassis Code: RME 42S 20817Engine Code: RMA10952 Riley’s executive car produced from 1945-1955 is a truly elegant saloon featuring sleek lines and a very spacious interior. The cars featured a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine with manual gearbox and is considered the first post-war Riley. Modern technology was introduced which included hydro-mechanical brakes as well as independent suspension using torsion bars. It is reported that around 10,500 cars were produced. This RME comes from a deceased estate where the gentleman clearly had a love for British cars, it was acquired in 2015 and has been dry stored in current ownership with only occasional use. Despite being MOT exempt it was last MOT’d in 2016 showing 63,000 miles on the odometer. The body and chassis appear to be in good solid condition and the paint appears to just need a good detail and polish to bring it back to its former glory. The leather interior is also in good condition. Having been in storage for some time the car could do with minor recommissioning before it is used again. The car has most recently undergone restoration work in 2020 by Cotswold classic car restorations near Cirencester which included front wing repairs as well as an engine and carburettor service. The 5-door hatch pioneered some interesting features for its class including body coloured bumpers, Electronic engine management and adjustable height front seat belts. Fitted with the Perkins diesel like this clubman D, there are only 23 currently registered on UK roads.Acquired by its current owner in 2006, this Rover has enjoyed a quiet life in the Cotswolds being used as a run around until October 2018, since then it has been undercover. The blue paint with red pin stripe appears in good condition and the period alloy wheels really make the car stand out. The interior is also fair for its age whilst the engine and gearbox are reported to be in good working order. The only alteration from factory appears to be the fitting of a tow bar at some point. No longer required by its current owner, they wish to see it go to someone who will love and cherish what is now quite a rare car. Previous online and paper MOT history appear to back up the current odometer reading. Its engine and front seat were mounted nine inches further forward than that of its predecessor, the York Sixteen. The chassis was also extended by three inches, giving plenty more passenger space. This example appears to be very original and presents very well, having been in a heated garage for many years. DOM 485 has been in current ownership since 1985, purchased from a gentleman from Lickey End, Bromsgrove, very close to the Austin home. The car will require some recommissioning following a period of storage, but when last used a few years ago, this large Austin performed as you would expect. This is the series three of the Minor Model, which had received a number of updates and changes in comparison to its previous generations. This example had been with its current owners since 2019 with the intention of full restoration. It has had previous upgrades including the fitting of a Marina 1098cc engine, a larger carburettor and power assisted brakes. The car last ran around 6 months ago, and the engine turns over when the key is turned. The interior is in good clean order with seats appearing to be in fantastic condition. The car does require some recommissioning having been dry stored for the last four years and does require some bodywork attention, particularly to the sills and bottoms of the doors. Due to the car’s condition, we must assume that the odometer has gone around the clock, or it has been changed. The car comes with a current V5 document as well as some old car sales receipts but no other paperwork.Estimate: £1,000 - £1,500To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. Fitted with the 998cc A series engine but weighing in at under 700kgs, they were renowned for their road holding. This example has recently been restored to a high standard and as a result sits in fantastic condition. Having been off the road from 2006 until 2016, restoration began soon after. The body was professionally restored with any rust rectified, it looks to be straight and the paint shines fantastically along with the chrome work. The clutch assembly, alternator and water pump were all reconditioned or replaced and four brand new tyres were also fitted. With an MOT until September 2023, the car is ready to be used and enjoyed for the 2023 show season and beyond. The sale includes a current V5 document showing six previous owners. It has its original Mini manuals as well as the special Mini Thirty brochure. A folder of history includes paperwork from as far back as when the car was on just 5,000 miles, right up until 2022. Included are a number of old MOT’s that appear to back up the little car’s low mileage.Estimate: £8,000 - £10,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 1992 Nissan Skyline R32 GTSTReg. no. K995 SWPChassis no. HCR32-286424Engine no. TBCTransmission: ManualMileage: 158,000kmsMOT: August 2023 The R32 was really the generation that introduced the Skyline to the rest of the world; the GTR variant was so dominant racing in Australia it was banned from their popular supercar championship. The RB straight six turbo engine is often described as one of the best Japanese engines of all time offering a great balance of torque and power as well as being vastly tuneable. The GTST 2WD variant featured the RB20DET, the 2-litre turbo version of this engine with an initial power output of around 220bhp. The Skylines featured a number of ‘techy’ features including its rear steer HICAS system and viscous LSD on all turbo models. Production ran from 1989 – 1994 with around 300,000 units produced over the full model range. This eye catching R32 GTST was imported to the UK in April 2008 with a vast array of modifications. It has been with its current owner since 2019 and has been dry stored in that time with lack of use being the reason for sale. The engine was rebuilt in 2012 along with a fresh clutch kit. Power has been increased from 220bhp to around 300bhp with dyno printout and mapping completed at Horsham Developments. Engine modifications include an R33 GTR Turbo, 444cc injectors, Magic intake front facing plenum, tubular exhaust manifold, Greddy boost controller, Greddy dump valve, AEM FRP and Mishimoto Intercooler. A larger aluminium radiator has been fitted with clutch fan and the battery has been moved to the rear of the car for weight balance. The handling has been improved using HSD coilovers, Kazz 1.5 way LSD, HICAS lockout bar with complete Driftworks adjustable arms front and rear. To improve stopping, a K Sport big brake kit has been fitted on the front with floating discs, whilst the rear is fitted with larger R33 Skyline calipers. The interior features a full roll cage with additional bars, Corbeau Clubman bucket seats and harnesses, Nismo gear knob, Nardi steering wheel and various aftermarket gauges to keep an eye on what is going on under the bonnet. The car is painted in the Ford yellow with arch extensions front and rear, Nismo front bumper ducts and 17” staggered Volks rays wheels which measure 12” wide on the rear in three piece and 9” wide on the front which are two piece wrapped in track focused tyres. A great Japanese import with all the possible additions you need to enjoy the car on track or in competitions such as sprinting or hill climbing or drifting. The sale includes a current V5 document as well as parts and servicing invoices since it has been in the UK. The V5 currently describes the car as black so this may need to be changed on the logbook under new ownership.Estimate: £14,000 – 16,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 1935 Hillman Minx SaloonReg: BLY 98Chassis no. M40829Engine no. M40075 Hillman and Herbert were founded 1876 first making sewing machines but soon expanded into making bicycles. The company was advertised as makers of every-kind of bicycle and tricycle and went on to be the world’s largest manufacturer. When Hillman wanted to start a motor company he turned to a young Breton, Louis Coatalen Chief Engineer at Humber, to form a partnership and design the first cars. In 1907 the Hillman-Coatalen was started and at first offered a 9-litre and a 6-litre car. This was followed by a smaller 2.3 litre in 1908. Coatalen left the firm in 1909 to go to the Sunbeam Car Company. In 1910 the firm dropped the Coatalen name and was known as The Hillman Motor Car Company Ltd.The Minx was launched at the 1931 Olympia Show and was to become their best-known model and became one of Britain’s most popular cars. It was powered by a 1185cc 4-cylinder side valve engine and had a full synchromesh gearbox in 1935. BLY 98 was purchased by the present owner in 2002.  The car was subject to a full restoration, of which there are many photographs on file. The bodywork, which is in generally good condition and sound, was resprayed in blue with black wings, and now shows some signs of patination and the interior trimmed in light tan leather. The owner states that the car drives well, and the mechanics are good. The file contains paperwork going back many years and includes the well documented photographic restoration. The car comes with a current V5C, a number of old MOT certificates, some old tax discs, a buff continuation logbook, receipts for work subcontracted out and a very useful copy of the Manual of the Minx and parts list. The vehicle is of course MOT and tax exempt being registered as a historic vehicle.  There is The Hillman Car Club which caters for cars of this age and arranges a variety of events.Estimate: £4,000 - 6,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 1988 Land Rover 90 County Estate D TurboReg. no. F607 SMUChassis no. SALLDVBB7FA366495Engine no. 19J21553CTransmission: ManualMileage: 140,613MOT: ExpiredAlthough not initially called the Defender, this iconic model was first produced from 1983 and was simply named the 90 or 110 depending on the wheelbase. After the Series III, Land Rover opted for coil springs for an improved ride, they updated the interior, modernised the exterior and widened the axles amongst other things meaning that their 4x4’s were no longer just works vehicles, but recreational too. This original, unrestored 90 County estate version features fold down rear seats and those iconic County decals on the exterior. It is fitted with the better of the engines available at the time, the 2.5 diesel turbo with a manual gearbox. It has factory County rear side windows and a front middle seat allowing seven people to ride in the truck. The Land Rover is running and driving but considered a project due to needing improvement and some body work attention. The green paint has light corrosion in places whilst the chassis could also do with some welding and at least one of the front strut towers could do with replacing. The interior also requires a good clean. Mechanically the vehicle seems to be sound with a strong engine, gearbox and healthy electrics; a perfect running project for an LR enthusiast. It was last MOT’d in 2021 and digital history shows mileage back to 85,000 miles. The sale includes a current V5 document showing just five previous owners.Estimate: £5,000 - £7,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 1957 MGA RoadsterReg. no. UVM 242Chassis no. HDK 13/32092Engine no. E96649Transmission: ManualMileage: 14,172 (Indicated) The sleek look of an MGA over its TF predecessor results in a very different car all together. With a low seating position and aerodynamic body, it’s a beautiful little package. The sporty roadster is powered by a 1500cc inline four-cylinder B-series engine coupled to a 4-speed manual gearbox. This 1957 car is a lovely example of the earlier model and holds a fantastic history of ownership and touring. The car remains a nice example to this day with the red paint shining bright on what appears to be a solid body. The interior looks to be in good order and our vendor drove the car to our site on a beautiful winter morning. It seems to be ready to be enjoyed as a weekend classic or to continue taking a new owner touring. Detailed ownership history is included with the car and it suggests that the first purchaser was from Dorset, owning the car for around 27 years. It was then sold in the mid-1980s as a project and consequently fully restored including some zinc coated panels and an engine rebuild. The ground up restoration is documented in the history file with images and the cars current condition is a testament to the gentleman who did the work all those years ago. It took third place in the MG class at a club meeting at Silverstone and was sold there in 1986. Mr. Kingwell of Winchester then owned the car from the 80’s until 2020. Kingwell took the MGA to over 250 events during his ownership, from shows to European tours taking the sports car to great circuits and completing demonstration laps at places like the Nurburgring, Spa Francorchamps and Zandvoort. The car took part in four RAC/MSA Euro Classics 3-day tours and six RAC/Norwich Union Classics tours. The roadster is in original condition aside from having 72 spoke wire wheels, part electronic ignition and a spin off oil filter conversion. The sale includes various V5 documents as well as green card car registration. Many of its pre digital MOTs are included as far back as 1987 when it showed 77,000 miles on the odometer, suggesting the car has been around the clock with all the fantastic touring it has done. A folder of parts and servicing invoices are also included.Estimate: £20,000 - £25,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 1961 Austin-Healey SpriteReg: VCO87Chassis No. AN5/48796Engine No. 9C-U-H-48504 Started in 1952 as the Donald Healey Motor Company in Warwick the first cars were powered by the 2660cc Austin Atlantic engine and called the Healey Hundred in view of its anticipated top speed of 100 mph. The 2-seater sports car was spotted by the head of the newly formed BMC and a deal was struck in 1952 at the London Motor Show where the car would be made by Austin and was sold as the Austin-Healey 100. In 1958 a small sports car was introduced powered by a tuned version of the 948cc engine as used in the Austin A35. The headlamps projected from the low bonnet and gave the car its distinctive appearance and it earned the nickname of ‘The Frog-eye’. The car on offer is one of 48,999 built on this chassis, according to Midget and Sprite Car Club certificates in the file, between May 1958 to May 1961 making this car one built towards the end of production. VCO 87 was registered on 17th April 1961 and is offered as part of a deceased estate. The late owner embarked on a full restoration of the car doing some of the work himself and entrusting some to professionals. There is a large amount of paperwork in its extensive history file relating to all the works that were carried out. A glance at this paperwork shows that nothing was left to chance and practically everything was done.Presented in light green the bodywork is in excellent condition. The interior has been retrimmed in green leather and new carpets fitted.  Although not shown in the photographs the car has the advantage of a new hood and side screens for those wet days we might have.Since the restoration the car has been used sparingly and been kept in ideal conditions in the garage.  Having seen so little use in the last three years a purchaser would be advised to do a light recommissioning although the car has been started regularly, the battery kept on trickle charge and it has driven a short distance. The Car comes with a current V5, an extensive history file, some copies of the Sprite Club magazine, old MOT Certificates as well as 3 copies of The Sprite and Midget workshop manuals (one of them published by British Leyland) and a Guide to purchase and Restoration by Lindsay Porter.Estimate: £15,000 - 18,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. It has had a stainless exhaust system fitted and looks to have recently had the seats and door cards retrimmed. Unusually it also features a sunroof. A very presentable car that looks to be useable as it sits with a bit of fettling to bring it up to a higher standard if the new owner felt necessary. A current V5 documents is offered with the sale but no previous history.Estimate: £4,000 – 6,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. 2003 Aston Martin DB7 ConvertibleReg. no. DC03 YTAChassis no. SCFAB32363K404020Engine no. 04029Transmission: AutomaticMileage: 66,945MOT: January 2024 The Aston Martin DB7, especially in its later guise has become a timeless and beautiful shape even in today’s modern market. The DB7 was fitted with a proper GT engine after 1999, these sleek British built cars had a front mounted 5.9 litre V12 combined with a 5-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The engine produced 420bhp and 400 lb-ft of torque whisking your way to 62mph in just 5.2 seconds. Despite it being the most sold Aston Martin up to the end of production when the DB9 took over, the DB7 is now few and far between, making these more and more collectable, especially cars produced in the last years of its production. This particular Volante has aged well with its Antrim Blue over blue mohair hood exterior and pacific blue over parchment interior, with walnut veneer. Initially supplied and serviced by Stratstone Aston Martin, this example has been garaged in its current ownership as part of a collection and rarely used. Currently sitting at 67,000 miles, it has covered just 2,500 miles in the last seven years. This generation of DB is a fantastic reminder that Aston even in hard times still wanted to show the world that cars could still be built well in Britain. With its engineers still signing off on their work on laser cut badges on engines stating that they were hand built in England. Both the exterior and interior remain in good condition considering the cars age and mileage, it has obviously been well looked after. The history folder includes a host of service stamps from official Aston Martin service centre, Stratstone until 39,500 and then serviced by specialists thereafter. Despite its low usage in recent years, it has still been sent for a service annually and was last carried out at 66,600 miles. The car also comes with various paperwork including old MOTs. The car also includes a current V5C document and will be sold with its original number plate (DC03 YTA).Estimate: £19,000 – 21,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU.
