1968 Jaguar 240 Transmission: manualMileage:81226In September 1967 the Jaguar Mk. II was re-labelled as the 240 and 340 compact saloons. They were interim models to fill the gap until the introduction of the XJ6 in September 1968. The 340 was discontinued on the introduction of the XJ6 but the 240 continued as a budget priced model until April 1969; its price of £1,364 was only £20 more than the first 2.4 in 1956. The 240 now had a straight-port cylinder head with twin HS6 SU carburettors and a new inlet manifold. To keep costs down, Jaguar replaced the leather with Ambla, a simulated leather material and tufted carpet was used on the floor. Other changes included the replacement of the front fog lamps with circular vents and optional fog lamps for the UK market. The sales price was reduced to compete with the Rover 2000 TC. For the first time, the 2.4 litre model could exceed 100 mph, resulting in a slight sales resurgence.Manufactured on 30th August 1968 and supplied by Glovers of Ripon to W.R.M. Michel in Harrogate, this Jaguar was originally registered on 1st October 1968. Still in its original colour combination of Dark Blue exterior with Dark Blue Ambla interior, this is a good honest example of one of Browns Lane finest designs. Owned by the current vendor since 2006, he has lovingly kept the car in a dehumidified garage and has used her only sparingly. Starting immediately when requested, the six-cylinder XK engine runs well and with good oil pressure. This is mated to a manual gearbox with overdrive. Sitting proudly on wire wheels and fitted with the sporty Coombes rear spats, we are advised this matching numbers 240 drives well with no known faults. Supplied with a UK V5C registration document, this example would benefit from some light re-commissioning and perhaps some more regular use than she has had of late.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

1986 Lotus Esprit Turbo Transmission: manualMileage:85939Built between 1976 and 2004, the Lotus Esprit was unveiled in 1972 as a concept car and was a development of a stretched Lotus Europa chassis. It was among the first of designer Giorgetto Giugiaro's polygonal 'folded paper' designs. Originally, the name Kiwi was proposed but, in keeping with the Lotus tradition of having all car model names start with the letter 'E', the name became Esprit. Introduced in April 1981, the Turbo Esprit and Series III Esprit marked a necessary consolidation; both new models had a common chassis. The SIII continued to use the 2.2 litre, type 912 engine, whilst the Turbo Esprit reverted to a less complex wet-sump lubrication system, retaining the power and torque outputs of its dry-sump predecessor. The interior for both cars was revised and featured new trim; combined with changes to the body moulds this resulted in more headroom and an enlarged footwell. Externally, the Turbo Esprit retained the full aerodynamic body kit of the Essex cars and featured prominent 'Turbo Esprit' decals on the nose and sides. This fabulous example was supplied new by Bell & Colvill Lotus dealers in Surrey on 19th September 1986 with a dealer stamped owners hand book up to 53,000 miles. There is sizeable history file detailing previous works, old MoT test certificates, sundry invoices and the UK Registration document. Also present is a full set of workshop manuals to complement this exceptional Lotus Esprit. The engine was rebuilt at 50,000 miles, with the cockpit being re-upholstered and the paintwork refreshed in the early 2000s to exacting standards. The car had been dry stored for 12 years from 2009 before having light restoration, re-commissioning and detailing over the last year. Now fully operational, and used regularly, both engine and gearbox are smooth and strong with excellent engine oil pressure. All gauges operate and read correctly. Alloys have been fully refurbished back to factory specification and new ‘period’ tyres fitted all round. Some subtle modifications have been made and these include Hi-Spec four-pot front brakes and fully adjustable coil overs, fitted all round. The car now benefits from a new alarm system and central locking. Maintained regardless of cost, this wonderful and rather original example, runs and drives very well indeed and would enhance any serious collection.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1977 Fiat 124 Sport Spider Transmission: manualMileage:85041Introduced at the November 1966 Turin Salon, the Fiat 124 Sport Spider boasted a handsome two-door monocoque bodyshell that was not only styled but built by Pininfarina although, Fiat assumed responsibility for final assembly. It shared much of the running gear as the other 124 models, the Sport Coupé and 124 Saloon. The Spider uses a shorter platform with a shorter wheelbase than the Fiat designed and manufactured coupé. The four-cylinder engine used in the 124 Spider and Coupé is a double overhead cam, aluminium crossflow head version of the saloon’s pushrod engine. It started in 1966 with a capacity of 1,438cc progressively increasing to 1,608cc in 1970, 1,756cc in 1974 and finally 1,995cc in 1979. The Fiat twin cam engine was designed by ex-Ferrari engineer, Aurelio Lampredi and Bosch fuel injection replaced the Weber carburettors midway through 1980. It incorporated thoughtful features such as intermittent wipers and a hood that could be raised in under twenty seconds, the Sport Spider proved a great sales success. A staple part of Fiat's model range until 1982, just under 200,000 are thought to have been made, though, over eighty percent were shipped to North America. This very good, rust-free, 1977 Fiat 124 Sport Spider is fitted with the 1800cc engine and was supplied new to the USA before being imported to the UK in 2018 by the previous owner who had the car fitted with the European specification bumpers and went through the car mechanically fitting a new clutch, new brake discs and pads and having the magnesium wheels refurbished. The current owner has recently had the car serviced and a new cambelt and tensioner fitted. Finished in the classic Italian colour scheme of red with tan interior and black roof, this 124 Sport Spider is supplied with a V5 registration document, the original owners’ books and original toolkit. This great Italian sports car runs and drives very well and is a great way into classic car ownership.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1963 Austin Mini Cooper (1275cc) Transmission: manualMileage:85420The history of this revolutionary motorcar is well known and its impact socially, culturally and mechanically is well documented. The Swinging Sixties, The Beatles, Twiggy and the Mini are inexorably combined to represent an era that is remembered with great fondness by many people. Very few classic cars have seen such a meteoric rise in values as the Mini has over the past five years. The Mini holds an iconic place in British motor car history and in the hearts and minds of anyone who has owned one, it is safe to say no other car can spark a conversation in the same way as a Mini can. On its introduction in August 1959 the Mini was marketed under the Austin and Morris names, as the Austin Seven and Morris Mini Minor. The Austin Seven was renamed Austin Mini in January 1962 and Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969.Registered on 11th July 1963 this Mini Cooper, originally a 997cc, presents in the instantly recognisable colour of Almond Green with a white roof. This example is in good all-round condition and we are advised she drives with no known faults. It retains many original features, including the now unobtainable veltone carpets. The upgraded 1275cc engine fitted with twin 1.5 SUs, started immediately when requested and ran well, the car has also been further enhanced with genuine Cooper ‘S’ LP883 wheels and ‘S’ 7.5” disc brakes. This Mini is best described as a good, honest example. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a full year’s MoT test certificate, this is a perfect opportunity to own such an iconic British classic, which will certainly appreciate over time.Interested parties should note that this Austin Mini Cooper was originally a 997cc example. However, it is now fitted with a 1275cc engine.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1984 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit Transmission: automaticMileage:80824The Silver Spirit was unveiled in October 1980 as a replacement for the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. Direct comparison, however, showed only small differences. The new models had slightly grown in length and width; height had been cut a little, although the styling was more modern than that of its predecessor. The interior was dominated by the expected combination of fine wood and sumptuous leather. The Silver Spirit was similar mechanically to the Silver Shadow, benefiting from the superb Rolls-Royce 6,750cc, V8 and sharing many mechanical characteristics of the model it replaced. The instruments were supplemented by digital units which gave such information as the time, elapsed driving time and external temperature and were the first Rolls-Royce to be fitted with a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy.Supplied new in Jersey in 1984, this Rolls-Royce spent its first 18 years on the channel island before coming home to the mainland. The limited use available in Jersey will be the reason for the low mileage for the age of this car. This, and a good service history, is reflected in the stunning condition the car presents in today. The engine bay is immaculate and the car sports four new tyres, an upgraded stereo, stacking CD player, a stainless stell exhaust system, all tools and two sets of keys. The extremely rare Richmond Blue bodywork contrasts well with the magnolia trim piped in blue. The records show that this Spirit has two previous owners. One of whom purchased the car through world famous and well-respected franchised dealer P & A Woods, in fact some of the 15 dealer stamps in the service book are by the well-known dealer from Dunmow, Essex. Supplied to auction with a V5c registration document and a fresh MoT test certificate. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
1963 Jaguar Mk. II (3.4 litre Manual O/D) Transmission: manualMileage:73512The Jaguar Mk. II was a medium size saloon built from 1959 to 1967 as a successor to the 2.4 and 3.4 models, manufactured between 1957 and 1959. The Mk. II was handsome, powerful and a good handling saloon which was offered with a choice of three six-cylinder twin cam engines; 2.4 litre, 3.4 litre or 3.8 litre. After the appreciation of the Mk. I, Jaguar's successor was well received making a good car even better. Similar in appearance, but with a bigger glass area, it boasted a wider track to improve road holding together with minor front suspension changes to reduce body roll and all-round disc rather than drum brakes. The 210bhp 3.4 litre engine variant proved to be the most popular, offering the best compromise between performance and economy. Naturally, the performance was excellent and the Mk. II has enjoyed great success on track and can still be a very competitive historic race car. Raced by all the top drivers of the day including Graham Hill, Roy Salvadori and Michael Parkes, the Mk. II has scored victories throughout saloon car races in the sixties and was also raced across Europe in the Tour De France and Monte Carlo rally. This stunning example has been extensively restored culminating in the car offered here. Presented in Signal Red with fully trimmed beige leather, this Jaguar was first registered on 16th March 1963 in Grimsby, details of this can be found within the original buff logbook. In 1989, the car was exported to Germany, we believe for a serviceman, before returning to the UK in 1998 in need of restoration. Our vendor purchased the car in 2016 as an ongoing project, since then AEW 763A has had a ‘money no object’ treatment for which countless invoices can be found in the history file alongside quite a detailed history. The car itself is splendid, new chrome, new wood cappings and rubbers complement what has been a very good restoration indeed, the only shame being that due to ill health our vendor has not had much chance to enjoy the car. A fully restored 3.4 example with rebuilt engine and with the desirable manual with overdrive gearbox sitting on new wire wheels, this ticks all the Mk. II boxes and viewing is highly recommended.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
1993 Jaguar XJS Convertible Transmission: automaticMileage:145000The Jaguar XJS is a luxury grand tourer produced from 1975 to 1996 and replaced the E-Type. The XJS was a competent replacement with better aerodynamics than the E-Type and was last produced on 4th April, 1996 by which time 115,413 had been produced during a 21 year production life. The car was re-engineered in May 1991 and renamed XJS (facelift). The rear side windows appeared enlarged and the buttresses stayed, although their appearance was minimised by the new side window treatment, as designer Geoff Lawson argued that they were part of the car's character. The car received a new 4.0 litre version of the AJ16 engine. At the same time, the car benefitted from a revision to the rear brakes; they were now fitted with outboard rear disc brakes, instead of the more complicated inboard items on previous models. It also received a more aerodynamic front and rear bumpers. This automatic XJS 4.0 convertible is presented in British Racing Green with Doeskin leather and oatmeal carpets with a beige hood, Boasting a "£2,000 rear seat conversion" as well as air-conditioning, computer, Panasonic CD/stereo and Thatcham II alarm immobiliser", this is the desirable long rear light model but being mid-facelift still has the chrome bumpers. Described as in very good order and with a tear free interior and a new hood. The odometer reads 48,000 miles due to a speedo change, but the true mileage is 145,000, however the car and the finish is that of a much lower mileage example, this is testament to how these 4.0 litre XJS’s could comfortably eat up the mileage indeed it "completed a faultless tour of France (2,700 miles) in September 2005 during which it averaged 25mpg (with the top off)". Within the history file are bills coupled to the UK V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until May 2022. This is a lovely example of the XJS offered with a very sensible guide and perfect for hood down motoring.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
1970 MG C GT Transmission: manualMileage:21788The arrival of the MGC in 1967 was greeted with mixed reaction from enthusiasts and the motoring press alike. It can be described as one of the most controversial sports cars ever produced out of Abingdon and, during its short life, the car was never short of attention, particularly from the press. The arrival of the MGC was partly due to the flagging sales of the Austin Healey 3000 and the fact that the original design of the MGB monocoque structure was capable of taking larger power units than the 1800cc engine in the MGB. Upon its launch in October 1967 the MGC was available in roadster form at £1,102 and in GT form at £1,249 and was considered very reasonably priced for one of the fastest production MG's produced. If used, as a relaxed high-speed tourer, the MGC was an extremely civilised motor car.Registered new on 13th October 1970, this very well presented MGC GT was the subject of a comprehensive restoration just a few years ago. During the restoration the coachwork was re-sprayed in Old English White and presents wonderfully and complements the superb contrasting black interior. Other works undertaken included a top-end engine rebuild using an original MGC GT gas flowed cylinder head, a new exhaust system and Tubular Maniflow manifold as well as a new clutch and ABC distributor. The six-volt batteries were replaced with a new 12 volt alternative and a new radio with phone/sat nav. charger port installed. In excellent usable condition, this example comes complete with a sizeable history file detailing previous works, sundry invoices, old MoT test certificates and the current UK registration document. This is a wonderful example of one of the most desirable MG’s ever built. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1950 Citroën Light 15 Transmission: manualMileage:21731The Citroën Traction Avant was manufactured from 1934 to 1957. The Traction Avant, French for 'front-wheel drive', was designed by André Lefèbvre and Flaminio Bertoni in late 1933. While not the first produced front-wheel drive car, it was the world's first front-wheel drive steel monocoque production car and successfully pioneered front-wheel drive on the European mass car market. This method of construction was viewed with great suspicion in many quarters, with doubts about its strength. An unusual type of crash test was conceived taking the form of driving the car off a cliff to demonstrate its strength. Left hand drive versions were built in Paris, Belgium and also Denmark; right hand drive cars in Slough, England. The Slough version was called the Light Fifteen and the long wheelbase the Big Fifteen. This confusing terminology referred to the British fiscal tax rating of the time which was higher than the French. Models assembled in Slough had to be 51% UK parts to make them exempt from import duty, to protect the British vehicle manufacturers from foreign competition. The Slough built cars used 12 Volt Lucas electrics, headlights, dynamo and starter motor with Jaeger instruments and a walnut dashboard. The accompanying copy of the registration ledger reveals that the car was first registered in March 1950. Being a Slough built car, it is the more desirable specification and with the added benefit of being a ‘small boot’ car. Maintained to a high standard throughout its life, there are receipts for considerable work carried out throughout the 2000’s including an engine rebuild in 2011. The car presents very well in black and is reported by the vendor to run and drive very well. Only for sale to free up some room at his home, the car has been lovingly maintained and dry stored during his ownership along with his other classic cars.Supplied with its UK V5C registration document, MoT test certificates and various bills and invoices for restoration and maintenance work carried out. These right hand drive, Slough built, small boot cars are the most desirable Light 15’s and are versatile and immensely enjoyable classics.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1988 Porsche 928 S4 Transmission: automaticMileage:104724These fabulous sports cars were unveiled at the Geneva Salon in 1977 and voted Car of the Year for 1978. It was intended as an upmarket replacement for the long-running 911 but in the event Porsche's rear-engined classic would outlive its younger sibling. The front-engined 928's stylish hatchback body featured aluminium doors, bonnet and front wings in the interests of weight saving, while ingenious impact resistant 'bumpers' made of colour matched plastic were incorporated into the nose and tail. A five-speed transaxle gearbox or three-speed automatic were the transmission options, in 1979 the 928S with its 4.6 litre engine arrived and then in 1986 the model was further revised and restyled, becoming the 928 S4. Its engine producing 320bhp courtesy of twin-cam, 16 valve cylinder heads and enlargement to 4,957cc, the S4 enjoyed a welcome top speed boost to 160mph.Originally registered in October 1988 this handsome Porsche presents well in Guards red with contrasting black leather trim piped in red. Power delivery is smooth from the five litre 320 bhp engine and we are told this Porsche is a joy to drive. We are also informed that the file for this Autobahn cruiser contains a V5C registration document, a good service history and an MoT test certificate valid until March 2022. Porsche 928’s have recently rediscovered their rightful popularity in recent years and represent a fantastic way to enjoy the open road.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1936 Bentley 3½ Litre Saloon by Hooper Transmission: manualMileage:2629When Rolls-Royce bought Bentley Motors, they shut down production of the 8 and 4½ litre. They then had to decide what to do with the Bentley name as they couldn't afford to alienate their customer base and not build a new Bentley. The question was what sort of car to build; after several false starts, the Experimental Department developed a prototype car based on an earlier 18hp experimental chassis called the 'Peregrine' and a suitably tweaked 20/25hp engine; this combination proved to be a winner. Launched in 1933, the first of what would become known as the 'Derby Bentleys' continued the marque's sporting associations. The 'Silent Sportscar', as it was quickly dubbed and had few peers as a tireless long-distance tourer, combining traditional Rolls-Royce refinement with Bentley performance and handling. In 1936, the 4¼ litre model was offered with more power than the 3½ litre while retaining the well-proven chassis and servo-assisted brakes. This Bentley forms part of a deceased estate and was purchased by its late owner in 1969. The history file shows that during his tenure the car was looked after by various garages including the world-famous Bentley dealership, Jack Barclay. Presenting with green and grey bodywork and a grey leather interior, this saloon is offered to auction with a file containing various bills and receipts that date back to the 1960’s, a V5C registration document, its original buff logbook and a copy of the blueprint for this model from Hoopers Coachworks. This imposing Bentley was recently uncovered in the dry barn that has housed it for several years. There are no records of when the engine and gearbox were removed but they and various sundry items are present. It appears that most of the parts are present to complete what could be an extremely rewarding project. Offered without reserve it would be wonderful to see this Bentley back on the roads where it belongs.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
1998 Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph Transmission: automaticMileage:25143The Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph was first unveiled on 3rd March, 1998 at the Geneva Motor Show. It replaced the Silver Spur which ended production in 1997. All Seraphs were hand-built at the Rolls-Royce factory in Crewe, England, which stopped making Rolls-Royce models in 2002 but continued with Bentley. The car had a base price of £155,175 in the UK and was powered by a 5.4 litre aluminium alloy BMW V12 engine, making it the first twelve-cylinder Rolls-Royce since the 1939 Phantom III. Standard electronics included digital engine management, adaptive ride control and anti-lock brakes. Aside from the radiator grille, badges and wheels, the Rolls-Royce was externally identical to the contemporary Bentley Arnage, sharing both its platform and bodyshell. Inside, the Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph and the Bentley Arnage were similar but quite distinct from one another. In the Seraph, the gear selector was column-mounted and the gauges followed a traditional Rolls-Royce layout (for example, there was no tachometer). In both cars, the seats and dashboard were upholstered in Connolly leather, with dashboard trim and folding picnic trays for rear passengers and glossy burr walnut veneer. This lovely Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph was supplied by H. R. Owen on 1st August 1998 and since then has only covered a mere 25,000 miles. Fully maintained and regularly serviced, this car is supplied with a full-service history with the last 10,000-mile service carried in June of this year by marque specialists, Michael Hibberd Motor Engineers. The current owner has maintained the car with a no expense spared philosophy and kept it in superb condition keeping it in a heated garage while in his ownership. He has also had fitted a new audio and Sat Nav system with Apple car play. Finished with Amethyst paintwork and unmarked magnolia leather interior with heated leather seats, lambswool rugs and picnic tables to the rear, it is exquisite in its appearance and comfort. This excellent Silver Seraph is supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in September 2022, the original handbooks and a collection of invoices confirming the low mileage. A Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph is a rare car and to find one in such a delightful colour combination and superb condition is becoming increasingly difficult.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
1966 Triumph TR4A IRS (Surrey Top) Transmission: manualMileage:4738Produced between 1961 and 1967, the Triumph TR4 combined a new, modern, and aggressive body design by famed Italian stylist, Giovanni Michelotti, with the basic chassis of the previous TR3A. The TR4 also improved passenger comfort with wind-up windows, face-level ventilation, and an optional hardtop. When equipped with the optional overdrive, the TR4 was good for a top speed of almost 110mph. Following on from the TR4, the new TR4A was phased in smoothly at the beginning of 1965 and introduced an all new independent rear suspension system (IRS), which provided exceptional rear wheel camber control with excellent wheel travel while softer springs improved the ride quality. The press was happy to see an all independent car, and Triumph was pleased to be the first British car manufacturer to have all independent suspensions under every car in their line-up. At the Sebring 12 Hours in 1966, ample proof of the validity of the IRS was provided when three IRS equipped TR4As achieved a remarkable 1-2-3 class victory. This home market TR4A is truly beautiful. The condition of the car is remarkable and the specification second to none. First dispatched in January 1966 it was specified in Signal red with black interior, wire wheels, a heater and overdrive gearbox. With a Surrey top, this is as desirable as they come. The car had a full body-off restoration around 2008, at which time the chassis received a complete overhaul as well as replacing the floors and outer sills on the body before being resprayed. The engine was rebuilt at the same time by John Knights Engineers in Norwich and the car also received new electrics, upgraded suspension bushes, springs and universal joints. A new stainless exhaust system was also fitted. In April 2019 a new clutch was fitted and the gearbox rebuilt. The car looks fantastic and shines in the sun; the brightwork is excellent as are the wire wheels and interior. The door gaps and general panel fit is very good and this wonderful little car has just benefitted from a thorough recommissioning before bringing it to sale. The vendor reports the car to run and drive extremely well with the overdrive gearbox shifting perfectly.Supplied with a UK V5C registration document, BMI Heritage Certificate, owner’s handbook and file of receipts and history of the car’s life as well as two sets of keys and an MoT test certificate valid until June 2022. It is rare to find a TR4A in such stunning condition and with such a desirable specification. This pretty little British sports classic is ready to be admired wherever it goes.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. The car was re-engineered in May 1991 and renamed XJS (facelift). At the same time, the car benefitted from a revision to the rear brakes; they were now fitted with outboard rear disc brakes, instead of the more complicated inboard items on previous models. It also received more aerodynamic front and rear bumpers. This lovely example of this highly sought after model is presented in Carnival Red with Cream leather interior and is powered by the trusty 4.0 litre engine which provides smooth power and great performance. The walnut dash and cappings are in good order and the car comes with a good history containing 15 stamped services in the book with the last service having been carried out on 29th July 2021. It will be supplied with a new MoT test certificate by the time the car arrives at the auction venue. Used frequently by the present owner, these models still command great presence on the road and are extremely comfortable on long journeys.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1972 Porsche 356 Speedster Replica Transmission: manualMileage:588There are a number of companies who supply the kit, or a completed, 356 speedster replica but most follow the same formula. The chassis is a modified version of the original Volkswagen Beetle chassis. The original chassis is shortened and restored using new floor plans. Depending on the type of car, the chassis can feature the updated independent rear suspension of the Volkswagen 1303 Beetle. The body is hand-made by the kit provider and closely follows the original 356 Speedster body. The GRP body sits on a steel sub-frame. The body comes from a mould of an original 356 body, originals were hand-beaten from a wooden form. On top of those basic items, you can customise the car with the types of accessories you would like. You can customise the running gear, obviously the colour and look of the vehicle to suit your tastes, you would be hard pressed to achieve this level of customisation on a new car. The two main suppliers in the UK are Chesil Motor Company and Pilgrim Motorsports. In the United States the most accurate speedsters are created by Vintage Speedsters and JPS Motorsports. Jay Leno has a JPS speedster in his world-famous garage. This left hand drive Porsche 356 Speedster Replica, fitted with a 1600cc Volkswagen Beetle engine, was purchased, and imported to the UK by the present owner in 2008 with 61 miles on the odometer. He purchased the car from the person who built it, an aircraft engineer, who lived in Florida and used some original Porsche 356 parts in its build, we are told that the steering wheel is original. According to the MoT history the owner had only driven about 550 miles before storing the car in 2019. This speedster replica is running but requires going through and some cosmetic restoration before going back on the road, the perfect project for the winter. Finished in the classic Porsche colour scheme of silver with tan interior and tan roof, this 356 replica is supplied with a UK V5 registration document which shows the make to be Volkswagen and the MoT test certificate history showing the little use that the car has had in the UK. This would make a fun and reliable car to take to any classic car event or just pop down the pub on Sunday.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1991 Range Rover CSK Transmission: Mileage:127888The limited edition Range Rover CSK was launched in 1990 and was named after Charles Spencer King, the original Range Rover two-door designer. Production was limited to 200 vehicles of which the majority were built as manuals with only 49 cars being fitted with an automatic gearbox. The CSK featured a number of modifications to improve both performance and comfort including a re-chipped version of the 3.9 litre V8 engine which produced 185bhp. The increased performance was complemented by improved handling with front and rear anti roll bars, sports dampers and the introduction of anti-lock brakes. Standard equipment included six speaker stereo system, air conditioning, tilt and slide sunroof, electric windows and power door mirrors. The Range Rover CSK offered here is one of only 49 automatic cars produced and bears number 190 of 200. Registered in 1991, this very original CSK is finished in Beluga Black with beige, diamond stitch full leather interior and has covered 126,077 miles. Having been supplied new by County Motors, Lincoln it boasts a mixture of main dealer service stamps in its original service booklet and numerous invoices latterly. The car has undergone a documented restoration including a respray, full engine rebuild, mechanical overhaul and new interior trim by London specialist Graeme Hunt between 2013-2014. It is offered for sale with a current V5 registration document and a history file containing numerous invoices, a photographic record of the restoration, the original owner’s manual and service record book.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1986 Porsche Carrera 3.2 (3.5 Tognola upgrade) Supersport Specification Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:159393The 3.2 Carrera is revered as the ultimate development of the original 911 that first appeared in 1963, before being replaced by the more complicated 964.These final cars were the most flexible and usable of Butzi Porsche's original design. The all alloy flat six-engine, which had been fuel injected since 1971, was enlarged to 3164cc, giving a torquey 231 BHP; enough to propel the lithe and slippery coupé to over 150 mph, with 0-60 mph coming up in 5.6 seconds. Cars built from September 1986 onward received the more user-friendly G50 gearbox, but all 3.2 Carreras feature galvanized bodies, which together with Porsche's legendary build quality, ensure that these classics are long-lasting.Working for the city based financial company Singer and Friedlander, Mr. Dyas’ choice of company car was a bit better than most. A keen car enthusiast, he ‘settled’ for a brand new G50 gearbox, ‘triple black’ 3.2 Carrera Sport Coupé as, even with his position, ordering the factory Supersport he so desired was a step too far. He did however order the car with the desirable deep bolster adjustable sports seats, rear wiper and sunroof. Mr. Dyas loved the car and used it regularly, putting almost 65,000 miles on the clock by the time he bought it from his employers in 1992 (for £6,500) and although it was his car from new, he was now officially the second keeper.Whilst still owned by Singer and Friedlander however, Mr Dyas managed to get a few modifications done to the car. He somehow convinced his employers to convert the car to a Supersport, sourcing all the correct panels from Porsche and instructing Porsche experts, Tognola Engineering, to carry out the conversion. A receipt from Tognola from 1989 lists all the parts used for the conversion. Mr. Dyas didn’t stop there though; whilst having the Supersport conversion carried out and the car repainted, he also had Tognola do their 3.5 litre engine conversion. This boosted power from the standard 230 BHP to 267 BHP, (see rolling road report in the car’s history file), utilising the incredibly rare Club Sport ECU. Impressively, with the engine modifications, the car only produces 30 BHP less than the 930 Turbo! The quality of the work carried out when repainting the car after the Supersport conversion is remarkable, and the paint presents incredibly well even now, some 30 years later. Stood next to the car, it is hard to believe it has covered over 159,000 miles, presenting better than most 30,000 mile examples, with the interior unmarked and mechanically perfectly maintained. Indeed, other than its latest service, which included fluids and brake pads by Porsche guru Steve Monk, the car has had almost all of its work carried out by Tognola Engineering, with only the very early services by Porsche main dealers. The incredible history file shows not only every tax disc and MoT test certificate for the car’s life, but also every receipt from Tognola Engineering for their servicing and work from 1989 to 2014. The supplied Porsche service book also boasts 17 stamps and the vendor reports the car to be an absolute pleasure to drive, without any faults.Supplied with a UK V5C registration document, service book, owner’s handbook and a wonderful file of the car’s life as well as an MoT test certificate valid until April 2022. This fantastic Porsche is unique in terms of both its incomparable history, and its uprated specification.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1966 Austin Healey 3000 Mk. III BJ8 Transmission: manualMileage:41556The Austin Healey 3000 was built from 1959 to 1967 and is the best known of the 'big' Healey models. The car's bodywork was made by Jensen Motors and the vehicles were assembled at the BMC Abingdon works. The 3000 was a successful car which won its class in many European rallies during its heyday and also ran at Le Mans during that period. As such, it's still used in competition by enthusiasts today. The 3000 Mk. III was launched in October 1963 and remained in production until the end of 1967 when production of Austin Healeys ceased. Classified as the BJ8, the new model was the most powerful and luxurious of the big Healeys with a walnut veneer dash, wind-up windows and a 150bhp engine. Improvements to the engine included a new camshaft, valve springs and twin SU 2 HD8 carburettors together with a redesigned exhaust system and servo-assisted brakes. This delightful BJ8 Healey Mk. III is presented in light blue metallic coachwork with complementary blue leather trim and matching tonneau and hood. The accompanying Heritage Certificate tells us that this car, with optional wire wheels and overdrive, was originally exported to North America on 11th March 1966 where it lived most of its life. In 2002 the car returned to the UK where the first UK owner had it fully restored, converting it to right hand drive, he subsequently sold the car to Beaulieu Garage from whom our vendor purchased the car in 2004. Having been recently restored our vendor saw to some fettling issues and then proceeded to enjoy driving this car across the continent ever since but not without significant expenditure with some of the best Healey specialists in the industry to ensure it remained in fine, reliable order throughout. Orchard Restorations cared for the car between 2009 and 2013, Dennis Welch Motorsport cared for the car between 2013 and 2018 with minor services in between fulfilled by a local garage before J.M.E Healey in 2019 provided a general overhaul, service and works to the brakes more recently. All of this is documented in a fabulous history file which contains countless invoices amounting to an average £3,300 a year spend demonstrating a real no expense spared philosophy since being purchased from Beaulieu in 2004. Although our vendor has enjoyed the past 17 years touring in his wonderful Healey, he has decided that the time has come for a more modern replacement and thus the car he considers part of the family needs to find a very good home. This Austin Healeys condition is commensurate with the specialist attention the car has received over the years. The fitment of electronic ignition has improved the reliability and an overdrive gearbox ensures this is a very capable continent cruiser. The fastidious vendor is aware that this BJ8 requires ongoing investment, having received advise regarding the front suspension, however having just completed a trouble free 100 mile round trip reported the car to be in good order. With values of these big Healeys increasing steadily of late and regularly achieving over £50,000 we believe this example to represent exceedingly good value given the significant level of investment in recent times. To be expected, a fabulous history file accompanies this privately owned and much loved Healey. 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250 SL Pagoda Transmission: automaticMileage:66044The very pretty and highly desirable Mercedes-Benz 250 SL was the successor to the popular 230 SL and was first introduced to the public at the 1967 Geneva Motor Show. The brief production run ended a year later in January 1968 and as a result of this short run, the 250 SL is the rarest of the W113 (Pagoda) series cars. It retained the stiffer suspension and sportier feel of the early SLs but provided improved agility with a new 150bhp, seven main bearing engine and it also came with rear disc brakes. The range was also improved with the increased fuel tank capacity which went up from 65 litres to 82 litres. These lovely German stalwarts were offered with a four-speed automatic, a four-speed manual box or the ZF five-speed. Also, for the first time an optional limited slip differential was also available which improved the handling no end. This well-presented 250 SL is offered in the desirable colour combination of white (W113) with a dark blue hood and interior, it was imported by the current vendor from the United States in 2014. Since its arrival the Pagoda has been treated to various restoration work undertaken by Mercedes-Benz Specialists, Silchester Cars Ltd. The paintwork is generally in good order throughout showing very few blemishes and still retains a deep shine. The interior too is very good, the carpets and seat upholstery look to have been restored in recent times and the dash presents well. Used occasionally by our vendor the 250 SL comes to the open market in good condition ready to be enjoyed imminently. Offered with various sundry bills, invoices for restoration work, previous MoT test certificates, the UK V5 registration document and the current MoT test certificate valid until September 2022. Ready to be enjoyed by its new custodian, this Mercedes-Benz 250 SL looks to be exceptional value given the guide price.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1980 Triumph TR8 Convertible Transmission: automaticMileage:73The TR8 that appeared on the North American market used the all-alloy 3.5-litre V8 engine that had been powering Rovers since 1966. Most of the initial build cars came with dual Zenith Stromberg carburettors - only those sold into emission-conscious California using fuel injection from the outset. Early TR8s were only available in Coupe form - the much-admired convertible not reaching the market until October of their introductory year.British Leyland had eventually decided to introduce the TR8 to the UK and European markets in November 1981 and had constructed a mere eighteen right hand drive cars at the Lode Lane Solihull Factory some weeks before. Shortly after these examples were built British Leyland executives decided to cancel the whole TR range and plans to build the TR8 in any volume were scrapped. The order was subsequently given to clear all vehicle stocks which included the eighteen un-registered and unsold TR8s languishing at Canley. Car manufacturers used a term known as ‘method build’ prior to full production, the process is meant as test to iron out any snags and to fully learn the process of building a new model from start to finish. To this end two TR7 convertible body shells were used to build a manual and an automatic factory TR8 in November 1980. Both cars were built right hand drive finished in Pendelican white and fitted with TR8 engines, in this case chassis no. 402290 the auto gearbox version was fitted with engine number 21E-00001. This car was also built with the North American market Tan velour interior. The car was subsequently sold off by British Leyland during factory clear out in August of 1980 to a north London collector who took the unregistered car and placed it in a lock up in Hampstead until it was recently discovered by classic car specialist Anthony Godin.Having remained hidden for a staggering 41 years the car is now available for restoration. Supplied with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate confirming the car as a factory built Triumph TR8 Convertible it is one of the last great undiscovered cars of the iconic 1980’s.Interested parties should note that this Triumph TR8 does not come with keys and as such the steering lock is on.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2006 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Transmission: automaticMileage:25100The Bentley Continental Flying Spur (2006 - 2013) was the second Bentley manufactured since the Volkswagen Group purchased the brand in 1999, after the Continental GT. The Flying Spur is essentially a four-door version of the Continental GT, with a stretched wheelbase and greater length for more spacious rear seating. The two models are similarly priced. The 2013 Spur weighs 5,580lbs and carries the same twin-turbo, 6.0 litre W12 engine used in the Continental GT, for an output of 600 horsepower and 533 pound-feet of torque. It has a 0-60mph time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 200mph. The steering column-mounted paddle shifters enable direct access to the six-speed gearbox when the ZF transmission is put into ’S’ or sports mode.Originally registered in 2006 this striking Bentley presents well in a two tone wrap of silver and purple with a contrasting cream Connolly leather interior. The records for this Bentley show only three owners and a very low mileage. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and a fresh MoT test certificate, this is a realistically priced opportunity to purchase the ultimate 200mph, luxury Bentley saloon.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1971 Triumph TR6 Transmission: manualMileage:10494The Triumph TR6 was manufactured for seven years from 1969 and by the time production came to an end in July 1976, it was the best-seller of the TR range. The bodywork closely resembled that of the previous model, the Triumph TR5, but the front and rear were squared off and all TR6s featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market, the engine was fitted with carburettors whilst, for other world markets including the UK, the TR6 was fitted with fuel-injection. It featured a four-speed manual gearbox, independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15 wheels and tyres, pile carpet on the floors and boot, bucket seats and a full complement of instruments. In total 94,619 TR6s were built of which 86,249 were sold overseas and only 8,370 were sold in the UK.First registered on Christmas Eve 1971, this desirable ‘CP’ 150bhp car is a UK home market supplied vehicle including the desirable overdrive gearbox option, which still works faultlessly and shifts almost instantly. The condition of this car is truly excellent, with the chrome wire wheels presenting almost as new. The red paintwork shines brightly and the interior no less, with freshly reupholstered MX5 seats fitted for added comfort on longer journeys. The hood is in excellent condition, as are the carpets and dashboard. The history file for this car is very impressive with a huge amount of past invoices and receipts. The previous owner lavished as much care on it as the current one, spending around £7,000 with Moordale Motors in Hertfordshire on servicing between 2014 and 2020 alone. Included in the history file is an original handbook as well as the ultra-rare Triumph Passport booklet for the car and an original brochure. The vendor and previous owners have truly cherished and taken good care of the car with the vendor going through the vehicle from front to back before entering it into our sale. He reports the car to run and drive faultlessly with excellent performance and the engine pulling strongly.Supplied with its UK V5C registration document, BMI Heritage Certificate, previous MoT test certificates and a current MoT test certificate valid until September 2022, this is an impressive example of a British classic. Good condition TR6’s are difficult to come across and this one stands a step above the rest.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1994 Ford Escort RS2000 4x4 Transmission: manualMileage:88000 The Escort is a small family car manufactured by Ford Europe from 1968 as a successor to the Ford Pinto. In early 1992, an all-new Zetec 16 valve engine was launched bringing improved drivability, while also marking the return of the XR3i, which was available with two versions of the 1.8 litre Zetec engine. The RS2000 appeared in the autumn of 1991 with a 16 valve version of the Sierra's 2.0 litre engine providing improved ride and handling, meaning that this version of the Escort finally delivered great performance on the road. Specifications, however, were also higher than before. This is the rare 4x4 version of the Ford Escort RS2000 which reputedly only 500 were built with just 350 making it for road use and the rest being allocated for competition. This car with only two former keepers, the first being the supplying dealer and the second owning the car since December 1994 until our vendor purchased the car in 2018. Presented in metallic blue with RS Recaro trim in very good order, this is a very well maintained and cared for example with a host of invoices contained in a really good history file which also includes the original book pack and a service schedule with stamps up to 2010 and 76,000 miles which have since been continued with detailed maintenance invoices. The car was recently treated to a raft of recommissioning work and thus the owner describes it as driving fabulously and great fun, we are also informed the car has an MoT test certificate valid until August 2022 and boasts four keys including the master key. A rare Ford that sat between the RS Cosworth and the Focus RS, filling a segment Ford only appeared to want to be in to fulfil motorsport requirements and with limited number production, we feel this car is sure to be a very collectable car for years to come. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1979 Triumph Dolomite Sprint Transmission: manualMileage:55700Although the Triumph Dolomite range, introduced in 1972, had proved to be refined and sporty, competitors such as BMW's 2002 had a performance advantage which was costing Triumph dearly, both in terms of sales and prestige. To remedy this, they unveiled the Dolomite Sprint in June 1973, although the launch had been delayed by a year, having been due to go on sale in 1972 alongside the main range. A team of engineers, led by Spen King, developed a 16-valve, single overhead camshaft head. The capacity was increased to 1998cc and combined with bigger carbs the output was upped to 127 bhp. This represented a significant increase over the smaller 1850cc variant, however, it fell frustratingly short of the original target of 135 bhp. As a result of this new engine, the Dolomite Sprint has a claim to be the world's first truly mass-produced multi-valve car and the design of the cylinder head won a British Design Council Award in 1974. Performance was excellent, with 0-60 mph taking around 8.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 119 mph.Registered on 6th July 1979, this late model Sprint was originally a Leyland works car. Leyland sold the car to Aston Hall Ltd in July 1980 and, remarkably, the invoice from Aston Hall Ltd to the second owner, a Mr. Walker, is included in the car’s incredible history file showing he paid the sum of £3,250 for it. The car itself can only be described as the best Dolomite we have ever seen, with its concours winning history backing it up. Equally as impressive as the condition of the car, if not more so, the wonderful history file includes a record of all of its awards together with what appears to be every MoT test certificate from its entire life, a very rare original brochure, handbook and the service passport booklet with no less than 14 stamps in it. The accompanying BMI Heritage Certificate confirms the car to have been delivered to the ‘Service and Parts Division’ in Cowley and that the car is matching numbers and in its original colours.Supplied with its UK V5C registration document, MoT test certificates, photos, BMI Heritage Certificate, record of awards, service history, original brochure, handbook and service passport. The combination of condition and meticulous history, truly sets this car apart.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1963 Bentley S3 Transmission: automaticMileage:94729The last Bentley to be built on a separate chassis, 1962 saw the introduction of the Bentley S3 factory bodied, standard steel saloon and, at first glance, it would appear that the all new S3 was merely an S2 with different headlamps. The introduction of the twin headlamps was clearly the most obvious change, but the differences did not end there. Further changes included the introduction of smaller bumper overriders and the repositioning of the front indicators and side lamps into one single unit on the front wing, resulting in a more attractive appearance. The S3's interior now had individual front seats in place of the split bench seat found in the earlier S-Types and some, like this one, had electric windows and front seat belts. Mechanically speaking the S3 was the same as the S2 with a 6230cc, Rolls-Royce V8 engine and automatic gearbox but this model was fitted with larger carburettors, improved power steering to aid smoother movement at parking speed and a Lucas vacuum-advance distributor to aid fuel consumption, making it almost identical in mechanical specification to the S3 Continental that was being produced at the same time. On 11th February 1963 this beautiful example of the marque was supplied new with the electric window option by Bristol Motors Co. Ltd. to Mr. F.G. Pratten. In 1990, the well-known marque specialist, Chelsea Workshop sold the car to a gentleman who took and stored the car at his family home near St. Tropez in the South of France; upon its return to the UK 20 years later he gave the car back to Chelsea Workshop and instructed them to renovate the Bentley, cost for which amounted to £60,000. Part of the renovation was to repaint the car in the original colour of Masons Black whilst retaining the original Tan leather interior and fit a very discreet air conditioning system. Mechanically the car was completely gone through including a brake overhaul, front suspension overhaul including replacing the front road springs, re-tempering the rear springs, overhauling the power steering ram, replacing PAS hoses and carrying out a full 24,000 mile service. Since all this work has been done the car has covered a mere 3,700 miles and looks, runs and drives as it did when it came out of Chelsea Workshop. The current owner purchased the Bentley in 2015, again from Chelsea Workshop; he lived almost next door to them and used the car as his local transport around London. This Bentley S3 is supplied with UK V5C registration document and a file containing copies of the chassis cards supplied by the R.R.E.C. and the MoT history confirming the mileage. Here is a fantastic opportunity to buy one of the best, post war Bentleys that can still be used as an 'everyday motor car'.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1963 Triumph TR4 Transmission: manualMileage:69149Produced between 1961 and 1967, the TR4 combined a new, modern and aggressive body design by famed Italian stylist, Giovanni Michelotti with the basic chassis of the previous TR3A. The TR4 also improved passenger comfort with wind-up windows, face-level ventilation and an optional hardtop. The 2138cc engine of the late-production TR3A continued while the 1991cc engine was also made available to buyers who wanted to participate in two litre racing. When equipped with the optional overdrive, the TR4 was good for a top speed of almost 110mph. Today, the four-cylinder TR's are among the easiest of post-war classic sports cars to own and maintain being supported by a multitude of component suppliers and other specialists. This extremely original 2138cc TR4 shows only two recorded owners in its 58 years. The current being the executor of the will of the first owner who purchased the car in the 1960s. Presenting well in the traditional and desirable colour combination of Racing Green and red trim, this Triumph shows a wonderful patina. We are informed that this Triumph starts first time and is a joy to drive. Offered to auction with a tonneau cover, an original handbook, previous MoT test certificates, various bills and receipts dating back to 1964 and a V5C registration document. This realistically priced quintessentially British sports car should generate significant interest both within the TR Register and wider classic car enthusiasts’ community.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1991 Ferrari 348 TB Transmission: manualMileage:58343The Ferrari 348 was a mid-engined, rear wheel drive V8 powered two-seater replacing the 328 in 1989 and continuing until 1995. Badged 348 TB for the coupé (Berlinetta) and 348 TS (Spider) for the targa versions, it features a naturally aspirated 3.4 litre version of the quad-cam, four valve per cylinder engine which was originally found in the 288GTO. As with its predecessors, the model number was derived from this configuration with the first two digits being the displacement and the third being the number of cylinders. The engine, which produced 300bhp, was mounted longitudinally and coupled to a transverse manual gearbox, similar to the Mondial T with which the 348 shared many components. The 'T' in the model name TB and TS refers to the transverse position of the gearbox. The 348 was equipped with a dry-sump oil system to prevent oil starvation at high speeds and during hard cornering. This fabulous example of a manual right hand drive Ferrari 348 is presented in Rosso Corsa with Crema leather trim and boasts a low mileage of just 58,343. This example was supplied new by Maranello Ferrari, Egham in 1991 who then performed the first four services. The car has since been cared for by Greypaul Ferrari, Lancaster Ferrari in Colchester and JCT600 Ferrari. Inside there are no ‘sticky buttons’ and the car presents fabulously well with a full leather book pack and comprehensive history file containing invoices, previous MoT’s and details of ownership. QV London performed a cambelt service in April 2021 for Slades Garage in Penn where the vendor purchased the car but unfortunately due to a shoulder injury the vendor can no longer drive and so with a heavy heart he is forced to sell. Inspecting the car and the history file will lead any interested party to view this as a very well cared for car. Offered with a MoT test certificate valid until June 2022 and the current V5 Registration document, we strongly advise viewing to recognise what is an appreciating example of the great Italian car manufacturer.Service History28/11/1991 Maranello Ferrari 1,383 miles17/03/1992 Maranello Ferrari 5,993 miles24/03/1993 Maranello Ferrari 11,222 miles15/04/1994 Maranello Ferrari 15,950 miles19/07/1994 Lancaster Ferrari 16,324 miles (inc. cambelt)13/07/1995 Lancaster Ferrari 18,788 miles29/03/1996 Maranello Ferrari 19,383 miles (inc. cambelt)23/07/1997 Greypaul Ferrari 21,518 miles20/08/1998 Greypaul Ferrari 23,475 miles13/04/1999 Greypaul Ferrari 24,280 miles (inc. cambelt)16/05/2001 Keysport Ferrari 25,491 miles20/05/2002 Keysport Ferrari 27,588 miles (inc. cambelt)05/02/2003 Verdi Ferrari Specialist 28,505 miles25/04/2004 Verdi Ferrari Specialist 32,120 miles (inc. cambelt)13/04/2006 Greypaul Ferrari 36,396 miles (inc. cambelt)17/04/2007 Lancaster Ferrari 38,740 miles14/03/2008 Lancaster Ferrari 41,163 miles23/01/2009 Lancaster Ferrari 43,335 miles (inc. cambelt)22/05/2010 Lancaster Ferrari 45,575 miles05/03/2014 Lancaster Ferrari 53,285 miles (inc. cambelt)28/06/2017 JCT600 Ferrari 55,940 miles (inc. cambelt)10/07/2018 JCT600 Ferrari 56,320 miles01/03/2019 Migliore Cars 56,581 miles03/06/2020 Paul Sanders Ferrari Specialist 56,942 miles25/04/2021 Slades/QV London 57,000 miles (inc. cambelt)Interested parties should note that this examples odometer reading is currently 00,1430. 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera 3.6 Cabriolet Tiptronic Transmission: automaticMileage:59409The Porsche 993 was introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 964 generation of the iconic 911 models and was built until 1998. Regarded by many as the best generation of 911's ever produced from Stuttgart, this car was the last to use the air-cooled flat six engine that had powered 911's for the previous thirty years. It was offered in a number of guises and specifications during its production life including two and four-wheel drive, known as Carrera and Carrera 4 respectively. This lovely cabriolet example is presented in Arena Red metallic with black leather interior. Its black electrically operated hood is in good condition, as is the interior which has a Light Root wood dashboard, door cappings and part wood steering wheel which were all ordered new from the factory. This detail can be seen on the original order sheet from AFN Guildford which is in the history file. The car comes with air conditioning, electric front seats, Tiptronic S gearbox and its original handbook and service book with 17 stamps in it. This extremely attractive Porsche Carrera is in great condition, with some attributes that make it stand out from the rest and its comprehensive history, it’s surely one of the best examples available.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2001 Bowler Wildcat 200 Transmission: manualMileage:11000The company was founded by Drew Bowler in 1985 after modifying a Land Rover Series I to drive competitively. Achieving considerable success, he started taking orders from others for similar vehicles. The company began with eight people designing and building aftermarket parts and rally road vehicles in the Bowler family farm in Derbyshire. Bowler originally designed and produced the Bowler Tomcat followed by the development of the Bowler Wildcat. In December 2007 the manufacturing rights to the Wildcat were sold by Bowler to QT Services, to provide support to existing Wildcat owners while Bowler concentrated on production of their newer vehicle, the Bowler Nemesis. Bowler has a long history of successful involvement with motorsports, with both company and private teams participating, and winning, in the Dakar Rally, British Hill Climb Championship, French Baja, and many other extreme off-road events. On 15th November 2016, all pages on Bowler's website were changed to a single page holding an official statement by the company, stating their founder, Drew Bowler, had died suddenly on Monday 14th November 2016. They said that his death ‘came as a huge shock to the company’, but that they would ‘continue his vision’. Jaguar Land Rover acquired Bowler Off Road in December 2019 and Bowler became part of Jaguar's Special Vehicle Operations division. This Bowler Wildcat, #004, was first registered to off-road rally driver Hugh Haines in May 2001. Competing both domestically and internationally, Hugh gained multiple successes in Wildcat #004; his most notable wins include the 2006 Baja de France, 2006 Baja Great Britain and the Scottish Hill Rally. It starred at the 2005 Goodwood Festival of Speed and has been shown all around the country, it also features in many photographs and articles on the internet. The current owner, a rally car enthusiast, with the intention of competing with the car, commissioned John Eales of J.E. Developments, a specialist in competition Rover V8 engines, to rebuild the five litre V8 engine which when completed this year Dyno tested and showed 334bhp at 5,000rpm. A new differential and brakes were also installed this year followed by the car being repainted. Finished in red with original Bowler black seats and original Bowler safety harness, this Wildcat is supplied with a UK V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in June 2022, two spare wheels and a file containing period rally participation documents together with Bowler paperwork, photographs, invoices and recent Dyno results. A fantastic car for competition or, being road legal, to take to the next Goodwood event or just down the pub, but sure to be a talking point wherever it goes.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1962 Porsche 356B Transmission: manualMileage:Porsche's 356 became a classic the day the first car left the production line and the ensuing years have only enhanced the legend. Continuous updates from the very earliest days of the model and gradual replacement of its early Volkswagen-based components with parts from Porsche manufacture saw to this. These detail changes came frequently but major change was only made when necessary and after due consideration of their effect to improve performance, ride, handling and the marque's enviable reputation of being able to produce sporting motor cars with competition-beating reliability. After a significant update in 1955 with the 356A, the 356B was introduced in 1960, the firm's most significant evolution yet. Motivated in part by increasingly demanding safety regulations, the 356B had raised, stronger bumpers and lifted headlights that noticeably altered the car's frontal appearance. Vent windows in the doors and hinged rear windows enhanced interior ventilation. Up-rated Elfin brakes with cooling fins also benefitted from air intakes below the headlights which channels cooling air to the front drums. This superb and highly developed Historic Rally car is offered with FIVA identity and is presented in silver/yellow which looks fantastic. In 1992 the car was the subject of a ‘ground up’ bare shell rebuild by Roger Bray Restorations using the original matching number engine, which was up-rated to 1720cc and produces 100bhp plus (see history file complete with photographs). This car is well known in the rally world and it has participated in many events including the Classic Marathon, Rallye des Isles, Liege-Rome-Liege, Three Castles, the Monte Carlo Historique 2014/15/16/17/18/19, Le Jog 2014 to 2017 and the Tour Britannia. For many years prior to the current owner, the car was looked after by the renown Porsche specialist, Andy Prill and all that was needed to be done was carried out with no expense spared. During 2013 the car went through an extensive recommissioning to international rally standards by Grant Speed Engineering. The engine was removed and rebuilt 2000 miles ago, set up and LSD checked, as was the gear box. It also benefits from new shock absorbers all round, new clutch, new heat exchangers and pipes, all ancillary parts replaced, new Wosp Starter and Dyanator. A competition wiring loom was fused and relayed, new Cobra Custom seats were fitted with Schroth belts and a fire extinguisher has been plumbed in. It has a full roll cage, sump guards front and rear, Rally trip, heated front windscreen and four Cibie Oscar spot lights. This fabulous Porsche has proved to be a very capable and reliable car with excellent gear ratios for long range touring. There are invoices from Grants Speed in the history file showing over £147,000 has been spent and interestingly the dyno sheet shows the car now produces around 141 BHP! Work carried out this year comprises of engine and gearbox removed and all ancillary parts replaced or refurbished, new manifolds, heat exchangers, clutch, gearbox stripped and rebuilt LSD checked, 4 New Koni competition shock absorbers, new high torque Wasp Starter and Dyanator, new flexible brake hoses, the carburetors were re balanced and checked. It is now ready to compete! The cost of parts were in excess of £3250 and the labour costs were £4500. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 2000 Ferrari 550 Maranello Transmission: manualMileage:38154The Ferrari 550 Maranello is a two-seat grand tourer manufactured from 1996 and is powered by a front engined V12. It shared its platform and 5,474cc engine with the 456 but was positioned as the company's high-end model. Featuring a luxurious and spacious interior and, unusually for a Ferrari, the boot could accommodate a set of golf clubs. The 550 has a tubular steel frame chassis with light aluminium bodywork. Power steering is variable assist and, to be expected of a car with this performance, disc brakes are fitted all round. Acceleration is an impressive 4.2 seconds 0-60mph and top speed a reported 199mph. In total, 3,083 Ferrari 550's were produced of which only 457 were supplied within the UK.This lovely, right hand drive, Ferrari 550 Maranello with the six-speed manual gearbox was supplied new by Maranello, Egham in January 2000 with electric seats, climate control and Scuderia shields on the wings. 1942 International K6 Fire Engine Transmission: manualMileage:76497The International K and KB series are trucks that were produced by International Harvester, the first being the K introduced in mid 1940. In total there were 42 models, 142 different wheelbase lengths and load ratings ranging from 1/2 ton to 90,000 lbs. They are best known for their durability, pre-war design in a post-war era, and low price. The heavy duty K6 and larger use a centre hinged butterfly hood rather than the rear hinged hood of the smaller trucks. K6 and K7 share the same hood, fenders, and grille and use the smaller Blue Diamond engines. This K6 truck is a part of history, originally built for the Singapore fire service by International in the USA. Before it could be delivered, the bombing of Pearl Harbour had taken place, and Singapore was invaded, the truck was therefore diverted to Australia where it spent its entire working life as the fire truck of a rural community near Brisbane. It was decommissioned in the 1980’s after which it fell into a state of disrepair until a local enthusiast took on the extensive renovation project. Taking two years to complete, it was fully restored to its original glory and became a regular sight at the car and truck shows around Brisbane. After this initial project, he went on to amass a further 17 fire trucks, all of which he restored to show condition. On a visit to Australia, our vendor saw this truck advertised, and immediately flew up to Brisbane where it was love at first sight. He had the truck shipped back to the UK and undertook the conversion to the fun dining truck it is today. The vendor declares he has had fabulous fun with her, including family and children’s parties, hosting lunches at Goodwood, attending various charity events and numerous classic shows.Equipped with a built-in microwave cooker, matching crockery set and 3 brass helmets, tea and coffee station and even a kitchen sink, comfortably seating 8-10 (depending on sizes) it is described as 100% fun. Reported to start and drive very well, albeit not fast, this K6 is ready to continue service as a fun hobby, or perfectly capable of becoming a fantastic commercial operation.Guide price £20,000 - £25,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1975 Triumph Stag Transmission: manualMileage:75498The ‘Stag’ name was a development codename allocated when the design project was initiated by Giovanni Michelotti in 1965. None of the subsequent names suggested through the process were ever deemed more compelling, 55 years later, the Triumph Stag still occupies one of the cornerstones of the collector’s car market. The svelte Michelotti styling married to decadent V8 power makes this model both beautiful to look at and enormous fun to drive. Add to that a thriving club network, these cars make for hugely desirable ownership.Registered on 1st July 1975, this wonderfully presented Triumph Stag has been in single ownership for over four decades and has more recently been the subject of a comprehensive restoration undertaken by Triumph specialists. Included in the work was an extensive bare metal respray of the body as well as a new interior and an extensive overhaul of the engine, a new hood was also fitted at this time. Many panels and dials were restored where necessary and the rear axle and gearbox were stripped, rebuilt, and re-fitted to the car. Other works included the fitment of four new wheels shod with new tyres, new brake lines and a new exhaust system leaving no stone unturned. The workmanship put into this painstaking restoration is clear to see, the paintwork is excellent and the interior and engine bay present in superb order. The history file that accompanies the car includes many invoices detailing the restoration, sundry invoices, photos of the Triumph during restoration and the UK V5 registration document. Offered with its private registration number, this must be one of the finest examples on the market today. A very rare opportunity to acquire a freshly restored Stag in the most desirable colour combination. Surely one of the best.Interested parties should note that the overdrive is currently not working on this vehicle. Following the auction, it will be repaired and the vehicle can be collected from Brentwood, Essex.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2016 Land Rover Defender 90 XS TD Transmission: manualMileage:107The Land Rover Defender was launched in 1948 and, incredibly, production only finished in January 2016 after a continuous run of 67 years. Outwardly, there is little to distinguish the post-1983 vehicles from the Series III Land Rover. A full-length bonnet, revised grille, plus the fitting of wheel arch extensions to cover wider-track axles are the most noticeable changes. Internally, coil springs offered a more comfortable ride and a permanent four-wheel drive system derived from the Range Rover featuring a two-speed transfer gearbox with a lockable centre differential. A modernised interior and a new series of progressively more powerful and modern engine characterised things under the skin.Originally registered on 18th August 2016, this outstanding Land Rover presents in completely unmarked condition and has covered just 107 miles from new. The black coachwork is gleaming having just been professionally detailed and the interior equally as pristine. Look under the car and it is clear this 90 XS TD has not been on the road and has been exceedingly well cared for. The XS was a well-equipped vehicle from the factory with alloy wheels and air conditioning as standard. This example also has a towbar fitted and grey leather trim. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a full years MoT test certificate, viewing is recommended to appreciate the stunning condition of this Land Rover. Production of these classic shape Defenders stopped in 2016 and prices have steadily risen on good examples since, this one is sure to appeal to investors given the condition and mileage.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1947 MG TC Transmission: manualMileage:5904The MG TC was the first postwar MG launched in 1945. It was quite similar to the pre-war TB, sharing the same 1250cc pushrod-OHV engine with a slightly higher compression ratio of 7.4:1 generating 54bhp at 5200rpm. The makers also provided several alternative stages of tuning for 'specific purposes'. It was exported to the United States even though only ever built in right hand drive. The body was approximately four inches wider than the TB measured at the rear of the doors to give more cockpit space. The overall car width remained the same resulting in narrower running boards with two tread strips as opposed to the previous three. The tachometer was directly in front of the driver while the speedometer was on the other side of the dash in front of the passenger. This wonderfully presented MG is offered in very good order throughout and comes with a comprehensive history file detailing its past. Previous custodians are recorded, the most significant of which being a Mr. Ratcliff who acquired the car in 1969 for the pricey sum of £190, remarkably the invoice for this sale remains with the car. Enjoyed for many years during his tenure, an astonishing number of invoices, letters and receipts were acquired. In 1974 Mr. Ratcliff moved to Hong Kong but left the car in his London garage where its condition gradually deteriorated. The decision was made for the TC to be transported to Hong Kong where a comprehensive restoration was commissioned in 1992. Included was an extensive rebuild of the body, engine, gearbox, wiring and interior. The exhaustive restoration took over 11 years to finish and was finally completed in 2003. Mr. Ratcliff enjoyed the MG on many classic car rallies in Hong Kong where it received numerous awards and in 2010 the car was repatriated to the UK. On its return the engine was extensively rebuilt by marque specialists before it was acquired by its next owner who used the TC occasionally over his five year ownership. Our vendor purchased the MG in 2019 and this year it has been treated to much maintenance work by Ricketts Restorations Ltd to the tune of £7,683. The steering box was replaced with an upgraded Datsun unit, brake cylinders and shoes were renewed all round, the brake system was extensively restored and four new wire wheels were fitted. However, the old wheels and various other spare parts are included with the car.Offered with its original registration number (JP 5955), toolkit, tonneau cover and side screens, this superb looking example with its fabulous, documented history is on the button and ready for its next loving custodian.Lot is no reserve.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2012 Mclaren MP4-12C Transmission: paddleMileage:16419The MP4-12C is McLaren's first production car since the legendary McLaren F1. Designed by Frank Stephenson, who also styled the Ferrari F430, the MP4-12C was launched in 2011 and was built using a great deal of technology from McLaren's Formula One program. The 3.8 litre, bi-turbo, V8 is breathtaking, delivering 592bhp at 7,000rpm and 600Nm of torque. Combine that with a kerb weight of only 1,301kg (the comparable Ferrari 458 Italia weighs 1,380kg) and performance is simply sensational. A Formula One style carbon tub, known as a 'Carbon Mono Cell', forms the basis of the car's chassis and weighs just 80kg. In addition, the engine is mated to a seven-speed automatic dual-clutch gearbox allowing for seamless gear changes. Even the name 'MP4-12C' is a homage to McLaren's Formula One history, as every chassis since 1981 has been labelled MP4.The MP4-12C can sprint from 0-62mph in 3.1 seconds, however where the McLaren blows its rivals away is in acceleration to 125mph, only the Bugatti Veyron is faster, at just 8.9 seconds, compared to the 458 taking 10.4 seconds and it even beat Ferrari's best Enzo. The beautifully engineered cantilever wing doors look fantastic but it's the McLaren ProActive Chassis Control (MPCC) that steals the show, a revolutionary set-up that puts the McLaren ahead of its rivals. On the left of the narrow centre console is a dial marked 'H' (for handling), which allows you to switch the suspension, steering and electronic stability control between Normal, Sport and Track modes. A similar dial on the right wears a 'P' (for powertrain) and it has the same modes to tweak the response of the gearshifts, engine and manage the sound of the power plant in the cabin. Thanks to the large brakes and the spectacular rear air brake flap, stopping power is superb. In addition to MPCC, the MP4-12C gets McLaren's rear-wheel Brake Steer system, which brakes the inside wheel, if necessary, to keep you on course. On the exit of tight bends, Brake Steer then also jumps in to minimise time-wasting wheel spin and correctional control inputs. Unbelievably for a car of this nature, the MP4-12C's fuel efficiency and emissions are also unbeatable in this class, emitting less CO2 per horsepower than a Toyota Prius hybrid! The MP4-12C is a remarkable product from a remarkable company. It distils the values of the McLaren brand - technological expertise, efficiency and sheer speed - into a stunningly useable package. This stunning Volcano Orange 2012 McLaren MP4-12C was first registered on 5th June 2012. Finished with black Alcantara trim, carbon steering wheel and centre console, it boasts full electric memory seats, upgraded Iris information centre and factory power upgrade. This spectacular example has benefitted from annual McLaren main dealer services, the most recent with McLaren Hatfield in April of this year, stamps for all can be found in the service booklet. Having covered only 16,419 miles, it must be one of the lowest mileage examples available. The car is presented with standard specification and supplied with a UK V5C registration document and MoT test certificate valid until September 2022 as well as a McLaren trickle charger. Overseen by Ron Dennis and his famously meticulous and uncompromising nature, these fabulous cars boast incredible performance as well as incomparable heritage.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1982 Lamborghini Countach 5000 S Transmission: manualMileage:61840After the groundbreaking Lamborghini Miura stunned crowds at the 1965 Geneva Motor Show with its mid-mounted transverse V-12, it was hard to imagine how designer Marcello Gandini might surpass it. But, in 1971, he did it again with the outrageous LP 400 Countach. It predicated the angular style typical of the 1980s, ten years in advance. The four litre, V-12 generated 375 horsepower, enough to push the car to 180mph. Upwards-hinging ‘scissor doors’ proved a magnetic attraction. The Countach was the stuff of schoolboy dreams, and it evolved constantly: adding vents to aid engine cooling, fender flares for wider tyres, and safety bumpers for the American market. A total of 110 early ‘periscopo’ models were built between 1974 and 1977, with a novel prismatic mirror arrangement to overcome the paucity of rear vision. (Seventy-seven additional examples of the LP 400 were then produced with more conventional mirrors.) The 400S was introduced in 1978, with bumper flares and an optional rear wing. The LP 500S, also known as the 5000S, of 1982 bumped the engine size to almost five litres. This fabulous and rare ‘Supercar’ was purchased by the vendor in July 2000 and was last driven in 2008. In 2004, the vendor had the engine stripped and rebuilt, with a new clutch by Lamborghini London to which there are invoices totally over £10,000 that can be seen in the history file. The vehicle had a new exhaust system fitted at the same time and other works were carried out by Lamborghini, the list of which is too long to list here but all receipts are available to be seen in the history file. The car had an extensive underneath renovation to all accessible chassis areas and a suspension overhaul for which photos can be provided (2005/2006). The car was running fine up to 2008 when it was put into a body shop for a full strip and respray along with interior refurbishment. The car was stripped to the current condition but during the works the company was wound up and the car was then put into storage. For various reasons the car has remained in this stripped state ever since and to the best of our client’s knowledge, the car is complete and a comes with a new windscreen and all the parts that were removed. The car comes with the original handbook and owner records from new and lists nine owners. The car is black with black interior and has the rear wing. Interestingly, it is on the front cover of a book called ‘The Spirit of The Bull’, by Paul W Cockerham and it was also used by Vicky Butler-Henderson for Fifth Gear we believe around the Guildford area prior to the year 2000 while in the ownership of Daniel Sefton.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1975 BMW 2002 Cabriolet Transmission: manualMileage:6312The BMW 2002 series is important in the history of BMW for several reasons; not the least of which being that it brought the company out of near bankruptcy in the 1960’s and put BMW on the map in the United States. It was the ancestral grandfather to the BMW 3 Series and was produced from 1968 to 1976. German BMW importer Max Hoffman is credited with the car's creation. He had suggested to BMW's engineering director that a 2.0 litre engine should be installed into the small two-door 1602 to improve performance and emissions. The resulting 2002 (named after the new motor's displacement) was popular in its first year on sale. This BMW 2002 is one of only 354 examples manufactured in right hand drive format and one of only 24 manufactured in 1974. Conversions on these outstanding vehicles were carried out by coachbuilder Karosserie Baur in Stuttgart. Baur retained a ‘T’ bar in the roof design helping dramatically to reduce any scuttle shake. This 2002 cabriolet was purchased by the vendor in 2018 after the car had benefitted from a full bare metal restoration in Poland the year before, with receipts in the file for over €4,500 in parts alone. Finished in yellow with a black interior, the car was then subject to a full mechanical restoration back in the UK. Almost £5,000 was spent between renowned historic motorsport teams Macchina Motorsport and TTP Performance to get the car mechanically sorted, with TTP Performance carrying out a full engine rebuild. The car is now reported by the vendor to be ‘on the button’ and to run and drive extremely well. Supplied with a UK V5C registration document, almost all of its early MoT test certificates, invoices running back to 1980 and original sales brochures, this wonderful, fully restored BMW classic is now ready to enjoy.Interested parties should note that the estimate for this car is now £12,000 to £16,000.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1972 Triumph TR6 Transmission: manualMileage:82000The Triumph TR6 was manufactured for seven years from 1969 and by the time production came to an end in July 1976, it was the best-seller of the TR range. The bodywork closely resembled that of the previous model, the Triumph TR5, but the front and rear were squared off and all TR6s featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market, the engine was fitted with carburettors whilst, for other world markets including the UK, the TR6 was fitted with fuel injection. It featured a four speed manual gearbox, independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15 wheels and tyres, pile carpet on the floors and boot, bucket seats and a full complement of instruments. In total 94,619 TR6s were built of which 86,249 were sold overseas and only 8,370 were sold in the UK.First registered on 23rd June 1972, this desirable ‘CP’ 150BHP car was a UK home market supplied vehicle, which included the overdrive gearbox option from new. The car was purchased in the early 90’s by a Mr Wallin in Berkshire who, in 1994, began what developed into a comprehensive restoration spanning six years and resulted in a stunning outcome. The Burr Walnut dash is as new, likewise the double duck hood which complements the lovely blue coachwork and black trim. When Mr Brown in Bracknell purchased the car in 2005 the expenditure didn’t stop there. Being described as somewhat of a perfectionist he had Rees Bros inspect the car prior to purchase. In 2013 Mr Brown had the engine reconditioned by Rees Bros who also provided an evaluation on the car stating it was ‘an excellent example of this desirable sports car that has been looked after very well. It is in first class order throughout’. Having covered only minimal mileage since, the car presents just as it would have in 2013, one of the best we have offered, and the vendor states he would jump in and drive to Scotland tomorrow in her. Supplied with its UK V5C registration document, previous MoT test certificates and many receipts. This example, offered in its ultimate high powered specification, is not to be confused with the average TR6. Its condition is fantastic and it presents extremely well in a desirable colour combination. 1978 Ferrari 308 GTB Transmission: manualMileage:51707Officially introduced at the Paris Salon in October 1975, the 308 GTB’s styling was created by Pininfarina. The stunning two-seat coachwork was all new but incorporated all of the old magic by blending aspects of the Dino 206/246 with the later 365 GT4/BB. Reminiscent of the Boxer was the dihedral groove at bumper level splitting top and bottom, the plunging nose and the sail panels reaching back to meet a shallower spoiler, while the conical side air intakes and recessed concave rear window were familiar from the Dino. The 308 was simply sublime in its appearance. The 308 GTB employed a tubular steel chassis with independent coil spring/wishbone suspension front and rear, complemented by anti-roll bars, adjustable dampers and powerful disc brakes. At its heart was a Formula One derived, all alloy, quad camshaft 3.0 litre V8 engine, allied to a transversely mounted five-speed gearbox. This example has been part of a significant collection since 2017 and is showing 51,707 on the odometer. Presented in Rosso Corsa coachwork over a tan leather interior, the Ferrari looks superb with its Pininfarina coachwork and comes complete with toolkit, UK registration document and previous MoT records.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1961 Mercedes-Benz 190SL Transmission: manualMileage:347The Mercedes-Benz 190SL with the 300SL made history at the New York International Motor Sports Show in February 1954 by being the first new production Mercedes- Benz to be unveiled outside of Germany. The impression given by the 190SL alongside the bigger 300SL was neat, sporty and with dashing lines. This was the trait of Mercedes-Benz designers Karl Wilfret and Walter Hacket. Despite opinions, the statistics tell their own tale as between May 1955 and February 1963, 25,881 of these cars were produced, it was a huge success for Mercedes-Benz. Its engine boasted four inline cylinders with a chain driven overhead camshaft and two Solex 44PHH carburettors, delivering a respectable 108bhp for that era. The body was a monocoque design, welded to the shortened chassis of the type 180 saloon. A racing version with aluminium doors and a small windscreen was never produced although these parts could be ordered from the factory for weekend racing. This left hand drive 190SL was imported from South Africa circa six years ago where it was subject to an extensive restoration, which included a colour change from Medium Grey to Black (DB040). The car has resided in a private collection since import and comes complete with records of previous MoT test certificates and the UK V5 registration document. With its superb colour combination of Black bodywork and cream leather upholstery, this beautiful 190SL convertible is a suitable acquisition for the discerning collector.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1958 Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:14511Although having a family resemblance to the XK120 and XK140, the XK150 was radically modernised. A one piece windscreen replaced the split screen and the wing line no longer dropped as much over the doors. The bonnet was also widened, opened down to the wings and on the roadster, the bulkhead was moved back four inches to make the bonnet longer. In the interior, the XK140's walnut dashboard was replaced by one trimmed in leather and chrome. On the early drophead coupés, an aluminium centre dash panel with an X pattern engraving was fitted which looked similar to the early 3.8 litre E-Type. The standard engine, the same as fitted to the XK140, was the 3.4 litre DOHC Jaguar straight six rated at 180bhp at 5750rpm but most cars were fitted with the SE engine that had a modified cylinder head with larger exhaust valves rated at 210bhp at 5500rpm. The four-wheel Dunlop 12 disc brakes appeared for the first time although it was theoretically still possible to order a car with drums. Either wire wheels or disc wheels could be specified. These were high performance, well-appointed sports touring cars capable of 137mph and 0-60 in 7.8 seconds and could comfortably accomplish long distances with alacrity. This beautiful Jaguar was originally despatched to Henlys London and has spent much of its life in Jersey. The red coachwork is in very good order as is the beige leather trim, she sits proudly on chrome wire wheels. Turn the ignition on, press the button and the XK engine bursts into life and sounds superb, we are advised she drives every bit as good as she looks. Southern Classics carried out a significant level of restoration work during 2000 with the body being fully restored and the car being taken care of mechanically, the final invoice was £51,994.93. At some stage during its life this XK150 has been converted from automatic to manual gearbox. A genuine UK supplied right hand drive vehicle, this car is currently being de-registered in Jersey and will come to sale with an official export certificate enabling the car to be registered in the UK, although buyers must be aware that a 6% import duty must be paid on the sale price. However, with prices for such examples regularly achieving well over £100,000, the vendor has taken this into account given the estimate. Historics are able to assist in the registration of the car if required. Supplied with a good history folder, viewing is highly recommended to appreciate the quality of this 63 year old British classic, it is a beauty.Interested parties should note that this Jaguar XK150 has had a number of desirable upgrades during its restoration including; The fitment of a 3.8 litre engine. CooperCraft brakes all round. A five-speed Getrag gearbox. Rack and pinion power steering. For the full specification please ask Stewart BanksInterested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder Transmission: automaticMileage:21900Manufactured from 2003 to 2013 the Lamborghini Gallardo is important in the history of the Sant Agata firm as it represents the most successful model in their history. Both eminently usable and importantly, reliable, the V10 sportscar had total Audi backup which made it hugely desirable and subsequently, the most successful sportscar built from this particular Carrozzeria. Its secret lies in its light but stiff space frame chassis mounted to a five litre, V10 engine powering all four wheels on demand. Offered with two choices of transmission; a conventional six-speed manual transmission and an advanced six-speed electro-hydraulically controlled, semi-automatic which Lamborghini abbreviates to 'E-gear'. This allows the driver to make gear changes much faster than they could with a manual gearbox.Presented in stunning Blu Caelum Metallic with complementary blue leather trim this Lamborghini has had just three former keepers. The original book pack includes the service booklet which reveals 11 stamps originally from Birmingham Lamborghini then from specialists including Grimaldi Engineering and Kent High Performance. More recently in 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021 servicing was carried out by Autofficina; the last one in May just 1000 miles ago being a major service. At the same time it was treated to new discs and pads all round and roof lubrication amounting to a spend of £5,900; invoices for this work can be found in the history file. The file also contains the navigation DVD and old MoT’s together with tracker information. The car itself is in very good order throughout, privately owned and cared for with a fabulous sounding engine and we are told it is a joy to drive with the roof down. One of the best on the market and viewing is highly recommended.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1945 GMC DUKW Transmission: manualMileage:3108The DUKW was designed and developed to solve the problem of resupply to army units who had just performed an amphibious landing. Its name was derived from the manufacturing initials used by General Motors at the time; D designed in 1942, U utility, K all-wheel drive, W dual rear axles. Now colloquially known as a Duck, it was initially rejected by the combined armed services. However, when a United States Coast Guard patrol ran aground on a sand bar near Provincetown, Massachusetts, an experimental DUKW that happened to be in the area had no trouble in rescuing the seven stranded Coast Guardsmen when more conventional craft had been prevented from doing so. The military opposition to the DUKW soon melted. This General Motors DUKW is one of the largest lots ever offered by Historics. Manufactured in 1945 it is one of the last 150 ever made. This DUKW has only had two owners. You could say three, as the US government ordered them to be manufactured, but never took delivery. The first owner was the Tennessee Valley River Authority who purchased six or more in 1945. They fell out of use in the 1980s and Mr. Glyn Hewitt of Hewitt Marine purchased this one. He shipped it over in 1988 and added it to a pile of DUKWs in a field in Barrow on Soar, Leicestershire. Following a lengthy ordering delay the vendor took delivery in January 2000. Two Varta lorry batteries give 24 volt starting power and it was on the road but the petrol engine seized so Rex Ward of Reading did a diesel conversion in 2003, fitting a six-cylinder Bedford 330 diesel engine which, we are told, has proven to be reliable, starting first time, every time. He also put in air over hydraulic brakes, a marine synchromesh gearbox and new brake cylinders all round, this made a much safer vehicle with much better braking. This DUKW has had two major mechanical overhauls, in January 2000 and May 2012. Both by DUKW specialist Rex Ward of Reading. Engine and drive train accessories re-newed or repaired as necessary. It is unusual to find a DUKW in such good order and with as many original features as are displayed on GSL 629, these include an original kedge anchor by Danforth Berkeley and the original Garwood Detroit winch with fitted wire, two US fuel cans on the rear deck, new three-part canvas, new metal (tyre) chock, original hinged passenger seat with original cushions, and a full set of canvas support irons and all original floor boarding in rear load area .Also in the rear loading area is a secure box containing gear oil, wheel brace, and a tin containing the bronze bungs which seal the bilge drain hole and the breather holes in the prop shaft outer housings. These are extremely rare, and when fitted are outside the underneath of the hull. It has the original bilge pump which works at an incredible 300 gallons a minute and also present are two good spare wheels with fitted tyres which have the seventeen good nuts for the removeable tyre retaining ring. There are two correct pattern front tyres which were imported from the USA at a cost of £900, four good rear tyres and a good spare on the rear deck. There are also six spare, part-worn, tyres which could be used for a display vehicle but not for road use. It should be noted that the DUKW tyre size is almost unique in American WWII vehicles. Our 81 year old vendor tells us that he regularly takes the DUKW from its custom built barn to military vehicle days at Debach airfield near Ipswich and Rougham airfield near Bury St. Edmunds. He also says that the 100 mile round trips at 35mph are enough for him. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and a comprehensive history file containing various bills receipts and photographs, this road ready DUKW is a real head turner and is offered with a sensible reserve. Potential buyers should note that GSL 629 has not been on the water for a number of years and should be fully inspected before doing so.
2003 Aston Martin DB7 GT Transmission: manualMileage:45830Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1993, the Ian Callum styled DB7 began production in 1994 at a new factory in Bloxham, Oxfordshire. It was engineered in conjunction with Tom Walkinshaw's TWR group who built the new supercharged six-cylinder engine. In 1999, the new DB7 Vantage with a V12 engine was revealed. It didn't just bring a new powertrain but more aggressive styling with a bigger front grille, new fog/side/indicator lights and imposing 18 wheels. The Vantage interior leather trim was cut and sewn at a special trim shop at Newport Pagnell where the carpet and wood veneers were also prepared. With the launch of the new V12 engine in the DB7 Vantage, production of the earlier straight-six DB7 ended in mid-1999. In 2002, a new variant was launched, named V12 GT or V12 GTA when equipped with an automatic transmission. It was essentially an improved version of the Vantage, its V12 engine producing 420bhp. Additionally, the GT and GTA chassis had substantially updated suspension from the DB7 Vantage models. Aesthetically, compared to the Vantage it has a mesh front grille, vents in the bonnet, a boot spoiler, an aluminium gear lever, optional carbon fibre trim and new wheels. It also has 14 front and 13 rear vented disc brakes by Brembo. This wonderful example presented in Solway Grey over a blue leather interior was delivered new on 14th April 2003 by P. J. Evans of Birmingham to a John Hardy who registered the car in his company name, Contract Appliances of Coalville, Leicestershire. The DB7 GT was maintained and serviced by P. J. Evans until it was sold to a Barry Surtees of Brighton when the car was just a year old. The Aston remained in Brighton until February 2006 when it was acquired by its next owner, an Aston Martin enthusiast and collector in Surrey who maintained the DB7 GT to a high standard. Acquired by our vendor in 2015, the Aston has resided in his private collection and has been used occasionally during his tenure. Offered with a sizeable history file including records of previous MoT test certificates, service records and various sundry invoices, it is in good order throughout and presents very well; the manual gearbox and engine are said to be in good working order. This example is offered in a very attractive colour combination and is an opportunity not to be missed.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1989 Porsche 928 S4 Transmission: automaticMileage:Originally intended to replace the company's iconic 911, the 928 attempted to combine the power, poise and handling of a sports car with the refinement, comfort and equipment of a luxury saloon. The body, styled by Wolfgang Möbius under guidance of Anatole Lapine, was mainly of galvanized steel but the doors, bonnet and boot were made of aluminium to save weight. Polyurethane elastic bumpers were integrated into the nose and tail and covered in body-coloured plastic; an unusual feature for the time that was intended as both a styling feature and to reduce drag. In 1980, the 928S was introduced with a larger 4.7 litre engine and wider wheels and tyres, whilst in 1987, the engine displacement was further increased to 4957cc with the introduction of the now highly regarded and desirable 928 S4.Supplied by AFN Porsche (London) Ltd on 5th May 1989, this 928 S4 appears to have been very well cared for and presents in very good condition all round. The Forrest Green paintwork is in very good order with a good deep rich shine and the contrasting Cashmere Beige interior is commensurate with a low mileage example that has been well cared for. The additional extras on this 928 S4 include automatic transmission, lumbar support on the driver’s seat, soft look leather seats and a sunroof. A comprehensive history folder accompanies F479 SLF, showing 18 stamps in the service book, together with a significant number of invoices. A documented gearbox overhaul was carried out in February 2010 with the mileage at 51,354. Supplied with the original handbooks, a V5C registration document together with a current MoT test certificate valid until 24th March 2022 and a Certificate of Authenticity. Porsche 928’s are fast becoming recognised as being great cars to own; the familiar tone of a five litre V8 combined with superb German engineering make this an exciting car to drive both on country roads and relaxing on longer journeys.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 2004 Maserati 4200 Cambiocorsa Coupé Transmission: automaticMileage:90000The Maserati 4200 is an evolution from the previous model 3200 and also a reference to the increase in engine size from 3.2 to 4.2 litres. The Spyder was first unveiled to the public at the 2001 Frankfurt Motor Show with the Coupé's debut following shortly after at the 2002 Detroit Motor Show. Both cars were designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign and were a true four-seater capable of comfortably seating two adults in the back. The naturally aspirated V8 engine was based on a Ferrari unit producing 385hp at 7000rpm; the gearbox was a six-speed unit that was available either as a GT (manual) or CC (Cambiocorsa) using paddle shifters. The Cambiocorsa ('race change' in Italian) is an electro-hydraulic manual transmission that uses a Formula One type gearbox with hydraulic operation and electronic management operated by F1-style paddles behind the steering wheel. The gearbox is located at the back of the car with the rear differential giving equal weight distribution between the front and rear of the car and providing better road holding. This stunning example presents extremely well in gleaming black paintwork with a black leather interior. The look is enhanced with grey alloy wheels and red brake calipers. When requested the V8 engine roared into life and we are informed the car is a pleasure to drive. The tremendous condition of the car is complemented by a good service history with the majority of the works being completed by either Maserati franchised garages or marque specialists. The most recent service was completed 1,100 miles ago and this Italian thoroughbred has also benefitted from a new clutch. Offered to auction with two sets of keys, a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until 25th November 2021, this extremely reasonably priced Maserati should generate much interest.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1967 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Stingray 427 Transmission: manualMileage:59560The Corvette Stingray had grown to be America's most popular sports car since its debut in 1953 but it was time for a change for the 1963-1967 models. Even the most superlative design grows whiskers after a decade and Chevrolet Chief, Bill Mitchell and stylist, Larry Shinoda, faced a tough task; to improve a living legend. Not only did they succeed but their creation turned into a modern classic and they created the most collectible Corvette of them all, sending sales soaring to record levels. Seeds were planted by the Stingray Special racer and experimental XP-720 which displayed a smooth fastback profile and split back window. These and other styling details such as pivoting hidden headlights, doors cut into the roof, and a swage line dip all wound up in the production Stingray. The four headlights aligned with the pointy front end when shut, rotating open when needed. Luggage space grew, though lack of a boot lid earned few plaudits. There was less fibreglass but nearly twice as much steel in the sculptured body, which rode a shorter 98-inch wheelbase. This truly stunning example of the 427 Corvette C2 Stingray was first manufactured in St Louis, Missouri by GM in June 1967 and supplied by Orr Chev-Cadillac in Texas, confirmed by the NCRS Judging Chairman Tom Falconer in a dating certificate included in the history file. The car is presented in a stunning combination of near unmarked metallic Marlboro Maroon coachwork with full black trim, the Stinger hood (Bonnet bulge) which was a 1967 BB option only and all the chrome trimmings one would expect. From new it was specified with factory air conditioning - rare for a convertible - and features the Rallye wheels again a 1967 only option and the side exhaust which sounds fabulous. Being the big block 427ci V8 with 390 bhp this example also ticks the box for power and the ability to really surprise modern day traffic. We can ascertain from the history file that the car was purchased by an Italian collector in Parma in 2015 from a Mr Crecos in Illinois, USA an NCRS member who had the car restored. Once in Italy an engine fault resulted in the owner spending circa €30,000 on an engine rebuild and upgrades to the lights for Italian roadgoing reasons. Our vendor, who had been searching for a top notch C2, flew to Parma in 2016 having heard that post rebuild, the collector was looking to sell his example and buy a Porsche 356 Speedster. After a coffee and inspection he fell in love and made an offer before purchasing and sending the car back to the UK. Having already had an engine rebuild, our vendor was aware it would benefit from a gearbox rebuild and, wanting the car to be absolutely perfect for him, he decided almost immediately to commission Claremont Corvette in April 2016 to rebuild the gearbox. Our vendor now states the car runs and drives superbly and invoices for all the work undertaken during its time in Italy and the UK can be found within the history file alongside manuals, history and title reports, NCRS communication and dating certificate, US certificate of title, Italian papers and UK V5C certificate.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1970 Land Rover Series IIA 88’’ Transmission: manualMileage:50020The Land Rover Series IIA is considered by many to be the hardiest Series model constructed. It is also quite possibly the model that features most strongly in the general public's perception of the Land Rover, from its many appearances in popular films and television documentaries set in Africa throughout the 1960s, such as Born Free. In February 1968, just a few months after its manufacturer had been subsumed, under government pressure, into the Leyland Motor Corporation, the Land Rover celebrated its twentieth birthday, with total production to date just short of 600,000, of which more than 70% had been exported. This example has recently been treated to an external restoration by marque specialist, Stuart Brown. The body and paintwork were refinished in the original Bronze Green and Limestone, all four wheels were refurbished, and seals, lamps, gaskets, hinges and other external parts were replaced or renewed where necessary, retaining the originality of existing parts wherever possible. Other works completed included a comprehensive brake overhaul, specialist roof lining and a new starter motor replaced by VR Autos Ltd. The chassis is also reported to be in very original and strong order and has more recently been treated with underseal protection while the interior and engine bay have largely been untouched to preserve an original patina. Showing a mere 49,800 on the odometer, the mileage is believed to be genuine with paperwork and various MoT test certificates indicating a gradual, incremental increase of mileage over the last 14 years of documented history. The history file that accompanies this Land Rover includes various sundry invoices, previous MoT test certificates from 2007 and the UK V5 Registration document. Parked in a dry barn for the last few years and regularly driven on weekends, this Land Rover has been serviced and maintained when necessary and comes to the market with a fresh service prior to sale. We are informed this Land Rover will be driven to the auction by the current vendor who describes the car to run beautifully. We are sure this well-presented example will bring huge amounts of fun to the new owner. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1979 Porsche 911 / 930 Turbo by RUF BTR Transmission: manualMileage:147943Those that know Porsche, know RUF. As AMG is to Mercedes-Benz, RUF take already formidable driving machines and turn them into psychotic hooligans. In a small village in the Allgau region, west of Munich, is the home of RUF Automobile GmbH, a small company who, in conjunction with Porsche, has rewritten the rule books using their own very special font. Production began in earnest in 1983 with the first vehicle to bear a RUF chassis number, a 3.4 litre Turbo model pushing out 374hp through a RUF developed five-speed manual gearbox, arrived. It wasn’t just about raw power; a special instrument was developed, twin spark plugs installed, RUF harness, seats and steering wheel. These upgrades were all cloaked in a new RUF BTR (standing for Group B Turbo RUF) Turbo bodywork.RUF concentrates not only on engine, transmission and body, but also on wheels and brakes with RUF 17” forged Speedline alloy wheels complementing the model range as well RUFs classic four-pipe exhaust and 17” tyres (originally developed for the 959) resulting from a close co-operation with tyre manufacturer, Dunlop. The CTR followed, a lightweight coupé powered by a 469hp, 3.4 litre, twin-turbo engine. This ‘Yellowbird’ as it came to be known, set new benchmarks for street-legal, performance sports cars. It destroyed its peers such as the Ferrari F40, AMG Mercedes-Benz and even the works-tuned Porsche 959. It was in that same year that the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) certified RUF as an automobile manufacturer in its own right. To this day RUF continues to source 'bodies-in-white' directly from Porsche to then produce bespoke sports cars to their new owner’s specification and with each very special set of characteristics. This early lefthand drive RUF BTR with a 3.3 turbo engine is believed to be one of between 70 and 80 examples bearing an original Porsche chassis number and the car still features on their website.First registered in 1979, this Porsche 911/930 Turbo was significantly upgraded to BTR specification in circa 1985 using original RUF parts. The plaque on the glovebox indicates the conversion was completed by the authorised Japanese RUF importer, Ishida Engineering, in conjunction with RUF HQ. Indeed, the RUF factory in Pfaffenhausen, Germany, has supplied a recent letter confirming the originality of all RUF parts and modifications.• RUF five-speed gearbox• RUF single piece forged Speedline alloy wheels (9x17 & 10x17)• RUF twin double tailpipes and exhaust muffler• RUF cockpit Turbo Boost Control• RUF Turbo body kit: deeper bumpers front and rear, and thicker-set side skirts,• RUF badged engine lid• RUF DTM grafted racing wing mirrors• RUF embossed steering wheel• RUF badged instrument cluster with turbo boost gauges• RUF embossed gear lever• RUF floor carpets• Ishida Engineering/RUF plaque on the glovebox• Original RUF specified Recaro racing bucket seats with harnessesSpecified originally in Grand Prix White, this purposeful-looking BTR is fully registered in the UK, fully serviced and comes with a full up-to-date MoT test certificate. Importantly though, it also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche themselves as well as a Certificate of Authenticity from RUF.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2004 Ferrari 575M Maranello Transmission: automaticMileage:11094The Ferrari 575M Maranello is a two-seat, two-door, grand tourer which was launched in 2002, it is essentially an updated 550 Maranello featuring minor styling changes from Pininfarina. The 575M was replaced by the 599 GTB in the first half of 2006. Updates from the 550, included a renewed interior, but with substantial improvements mechanically, including bigger brake discs, a larger and more powerful engine, improved weight distribution, refined aerodynamics and fluid dynamics along with an adaptive suspension set-up (the four independent suspensions are also controlled by the gearbox, to minimize pitch throughout the 200 milliseconds shift time). Two six-speed transmissions were available; a conventional manual gearbox and, for the first time on a Ferrari V12, Magneti Marelli's semi-automatic (Electro hydraulic manual) 'F1' gearbox. The 575 model number refers to total engine displacement in litres, whilst the 'M' is an abbreviation of modificato ('modified').This Ferrari 575M, offered in the desirable colour combination of Verde Zeltweg Green over a beige leather interior, was acquired by the current vendor in 2007 and has resided in his private collection since. During his tenure, it has been maintained where necessary and has covered a mere 11,094 miles from new. The paintwork and interior are in fine fettle with no sticky dashboard issues, common with Ferraris of this era. The vendor reports that it runs and drives very well indeed and has recently been treated to a cambelt service in August 2021 by Ferrari Specialists, Rardley Motors. Contained within the history file is a collection of maintenance invoices detailing the care of ownership coupled with the original Ferrari booklets with continuous service stamps, previous Mot test certificates and the UK Registration document. Also included are the original maintenance booklets and tool kit. This very well priced, striking example is one of the best we have seen and is an opportunity not to be missed. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1955 MG TF Transmission: manualMileage:81509Originally launched at the 1953 Motor Show, the MG TF was greeted with mixed reactions from enthusiasts and journalists alike. To the Abingdon engineers, led by Cecil Cousins, it was a model that was sufficiently different from its predecessors and yet continued the traditional T-Series classic lines and the end result was very pleasing to the eye. Interior wise and in keeping with the external modifications, the cockpit layout was quite radically different to that of its predecessor and formed a comfortable and pleasant place to be. Individually adjustable seats were provided in place of the normal bench type seating and the facia panel was completely new with a welcome return to octagonal instrumentation. Often referred to as 'the last of the square riggers' the MG TF gained this title due to its very strong resemblance to the pre-war MG Midgets. This lovely example of this British classic is presented in Burgundy coachwork with red trim and new black hood. Originally sent to the United States, this TF 1500 was imported to the UK in 2012 to our vendor in Middlesex. Upon arrival the left hand drive example was swiftly stripped and over the next two years fully rebuilt as a right hand drive example with 1250 engine and high gear conversion, sitting on new wire wheels and ready to enjoy. The history file with the car is impressive and includes many bills from the United States from the previous owner, Pastor Sidney J Lambert of Vermont, who it appears had owned the car since the 70’s. Since the car has been in the UK the invoices for parts can be found in a bulging history file and the car frankly presents as new. The MG motor cars of this era are often used in rallies both here and in Europe as they are simple to maintain and spritely on country roads and this is no exception with evidence of the car being invited to numerous local shows and having been thoroughly enjoyed but our owner.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1995 Mercedes-Benz SL 500 Transmission: automaticMileage:102448Following the resounding success of the R107, the R129 Mercedes-Benz SL had a rather tough act to follow, as it still had to carry on the tradition of a fast and reliable grand touring convertible. The advantage designers had with the R129 was technology. By the time the final car rolled off the production line in 1989, these earlier models had been in production for 18 years with very little change. Therefore, the SL500 featured many new and innovative ideas, such as controlled electronic damping, automatically expanding roll-over bar and a more modern multi link rear axle. In addition to this was a fully operating electric roof, windows, door mirrors and seats, which made this model easy and comfortable to operate. The new SL also boasted a more powerful engine and the stopping power was aided by anti-locking braking for added reassurance.First registered on 1st August 1995, this example is presented in stunning, recently fully painted, metallic blue with the grey leather trim and electric seats. Our vendor purchased the car in 2017 from a family friend after the car had been garaged and off the road, having a real soft spot for the R129 he has commissioned the car to be fully repainted and the desirable AMG specification wheels all refurbished. This was combined with earlier cosmetic restoration works such as new roof glass, a new wiring loom (for which these cars are known) with an auto electrician ensuring all of the electrics work as they should. Being a later R129 the seats are fully electric, the bumpers are fully colour coded as per the 1995 facelift and side airbags. The car is offered with the original book pack, an MoT test certificate valid until September 2022 and having had a recent service. Offered in what is possibly the best colour combination with the most desirable V8 engine, this is a very desirable example of the ever-popular R129 Mercedes-Benz SL.Interested parties should note that the V5 for this lot has been misplaced and the vehicle will be sold without this document, the new owner will need to apply for a V5 using a V62 form from the DVLA.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1993 Bentley Turbo RL Transmission: automaticMileage:26000The manufacture of the Bentley Turbo R began in 1985 and, in total, 7230 units of this model were produced during its 12 year production period. The 'R' stood for 'Road-holding' to set it apart from its predecessor, the Mulsanne, courtesy of substantially stiffer anti-roll bar settings, a Panhard rod system and increased damping. Wider tyres on alloy wheels were also a first for a Bentley on the Turbo R, which looked great. The suspension changes transformed the soft ride of the Mulsanne into that of a real performer with the motoring press proclaiming this model to be more faithful to Bentley's racing pedigree. In 1995, a 'new' Turbo R was launched featuring, amongst other things, fuel injection. This contributed towards a mighty 385bhp output which resulted in terrific performance outpacing any smaller ‘hot hatch’ at that time! This stunning long wheel base example of the Turbo R is presented in black with cream hide and boasts just one owner from its registration on 7th July 1993. Between 1993 and 1998 the car was used as his daily transport and the last service in June 1998 by Jack Barclay displayed a mileage of just 23,296. Shortly thereafter the car was stored in a specialist car storage facility as the owner had relocated overseas and used sporadically when the owner visited the UK. There is no paperwork between 1998 and February 2006 when the next invoice shows the mileage on a new odometer of 0098 shortly after its replacement. We are informed that the client only used the car in central London when visiting the UK and thus we believe the mileage is likely sub 30,000 and probably around 25-26,000 which is also indicated by those who have inspected the car, as well as the pristine condition of the interior which is almost ‘as new’. Between 2006 and 2008 the Chelsea Workshop cared for the car, but since then the car has remained unused in long term storage. To bring the car back into commission considerable work was carried out over the last 18 months to the engine and running gear by various engineers including Bentley specialists Hillier and Hill. With little predicted future use the vendor now wishes to pass this low mileage example to the next owner. Within the history file are numerous invoices and the original book pack, MoT certificates including current until September 2022 and UK V5C certificate. A low mileage, one owner car which will undoubtably attract significant interest from collectors and enthusiasts.*Odometer reading is an estimate based on an odometer change please see descriptionInterested parties should note that the V5 for this lot has been misplaced and the vehicle will be sold without this document, the new owner will need to apply for a V5 using a V62 form from the DVLA.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1955 AC Ace Transmission: manualMileage:2An influential and widely imitated design, the AC Ace (and its Cobra derivative) could trace its origins back to a one-off sports-racer built by chassis engineer John Tojeiro for Cliff Davis in 1952. The success of Davis' Tojeiro sports-racer prompted AC Cars to acquire the rights to the design, which was put into production in 1954 as the Ace. The Davis car's pretty Ferrari 166 inspired Barchetta bodywork was retained, as was Tojeiro's twin-tube ladder frame chassis and Cooper-influenced all-independent suspension, but the power unit was AC's own venerable, 2.0 litre, long-stroke six. Designed by AC co-founder John Weller, this overhead-camshaft engine had originated in 1919 and with a modest 80bhp (later 100bhp) on tap, endowed the Ace with respectable, if not outstanding, performance. Nevertheless, in tuned form the Ace enjoyed great success in production sports car racing, winning its class at the Le Mans 24 Hour Race in 1959.In 1954 AC added a hardtop version - the fastback-styled Aceca - and both models later became available with the more powerful Bristol engine before production ceased in 1963. Towards the end of production, the Ace was also available with the 2.6 litre overhead-valve Ford Zephyr engine installed. Only 223 cars were delivered with the 2.0 litre AC engine compared with 463 Bristol-engined cars and a further 37 Ford-powered examples.Chassis number ‘AE44’ is one of the earliest production cars, finished by the factory in green body colour, trimmed in beige leather and fitted with the AC six-cylinder engine ‘UMB2102-H’. Supplied as Ex-Works on 31st January 1955 and brokered through Swanmore Garage, Bournemouth to its first custodian Mr. F Richards of Poole, Dorset. The next significant owner was Mr. H.E.M Russel of Danemoor, Malvern. He was the custodian of the car from 1975-1999, during this time it was solely used for gentle road use. Shortly after the car was marketed by The Car Centre in 1999, it passed to the most recent custodian who embarked on a, from the ground up, body-off restoration to the highest standard. Brooklands Motor Cars Ltd were approached to attend to all the chassis work for the motorcar, including local repairs whilst retaining as much of the original framework as possible. The rest of the restoration was kept to the highest standard including a full rebuild of the current engine ‘UMB1219’ by Tyler Motorsports of Kingstone, Hereford. Coachwork, paintwork and the upholstery were undertaken by AC Heritage Works, based at Brooklands. The period livery consists of a black leather interior paired with the period AC racing green. A fitting colour for the Ace as in 2019 it was the 60th anniversary since the AC works team won their class at Le Mans in 1959.We are delighted to present AE44 to the auction, it’s the first time this car has come to the market in two decades. 1985 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Transmission: manualMileage:206000A modern classic by Pininfarina, the simple yet elegant Spider bodywork that premiered on the 1966 Alfa Romeo Duetto would prove enduringly popular, lasting into the 1990’s. All S3 2000 Alfa Romeo’s were produced left hand drive however a select few dealers such as Lombarda and Bell & Colvill used Ellisons of Hull to convert these prior to sale from new, with all UK S3 therefore missing a passenger’s side glovebox. The Pininfarina designed Alfa Romeo offered here was manufactured during 1985 and first registered in the UK on 6th August 1985 in right hand drive guise. Our vendor purchased the car in 2016 as a stalled project and set to work by fitting new outer sills and having the car fully repainted in Alfa Romeo Rosso. Whilst trying to keep as much originality as possible, the seats needed reconditioning and the car was also treated to a Quadrifoglio Verde front spoiler; a preferred option and deemed an improvement on the Series Three Aerodynamica chin spoiler. The vendor reports that mechanically the car is in great shape with recent replacement engine mounts and a rebuilt gearbox by Bob Dove racing just last year. The suspension was also overhauled recently with all bushes and springs being replaced and it also boasts Koni shock absorbers all round, a new servo, starter and radiator. Our vendor has driven the car all over the UK, including trips to Scotland stating ‘It's a great car for circumnavigating lochs and tracking coastlines and is very comfortable and capable over long distances’. The service history, a thick A4 ring binder going back to the mid 80’s, includes many receipts from Alfa Romeo specialists. The folder also contains previous log books and the vast majority of previous MOT's and the Certificato Di Origine from the Alfa Museum which shows the date of manufacture as 12th April 1985. With a current MoT valid until Spetmeber 2022, this is a lovely package combining a capable driving experience with solid provenance and viewing is recommended.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1991 Excalibur Phaeton IV Transmission: automaticMileage:18949The Excalibur from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was a car styled after the 1928 Mercedes-Benz SSK by Brooks Stevens for Studebaker. Stevens subsequently formed a company to manufacture and market the cars which were conventional under their styling. A prototype premiered at car shows in 1964 fitted on a Studebaker chassis and using a 290-horsepower Studebaker 289ci V8. Studebaker subsequently ceased operations, ending the availability of its 289ci V8 so General Motors agreed to provide a Chevrolet 327ci in 300bhp Corvette tune, making the 2100-pound Excalibur a strong performer. With acceleration from 0-60mph taking less than five seconds and projected top speed was 160mph, the Excalibur was not for the faint hearted. This 1983 Phaeton IV model benefits from a 4998cc engine and was imported from the USA in 1991. Presented in Pure White with striking chrome work and an impressive red leather interior, the car comes to auction with a V5C registration document and a removable hardtop. The look of this example is enhanced by wire wheels, a split front windscreen and the classic side mounted spare wheel. It is easy to see why previous owners of this head turning marque have included Frank Sinatra, Steve McQueen and Dean Martin. Offered with a very competitive estimate, this rare piece of motoring will certainly stand you out from the crowd and that tuneful V8 is bound to make you and passengers grin from ear to ear.Interested parties should note that this vehicle is now offered without reserve and this Excalibur requires a new water pump.Lot is no reserve.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2000 Ferrari 360 Modena Transmission: manualMileage:51921The Ferrari 360 was manufactured from 1999 to 2005 and succeeded the F355. It is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, V8 powered coupé and Ferrari partnered with Alcoa to produce an entirely new, all aluminium space-frame chassis that was 40% stiffer than the F355. Along with a lightweight frame, the new Pininfarina body styling deviated from traditions of the previous decade's sharp angles and flip-up headlights. The new V8 engine utilised a 3.6 litre capacity and, despite what looked like, on paper, as modest gains, in reality the power to weight ratio was significantly improved. The first model to be rolled out was the 360 Modena followed later by the 360 Spider and finally, as a special edition, the Challenge Stradale. There were 8,800 Modena's and 7,565 Spiders produced of which, in the UK, only 352 were manual gearbox Modena’s and 478 manual Spiders. This is one of the 352, six-speed manual, Ferrari 360 Modena UK right hand drive cars. Delivered by Maranello Concessionaires in July 2000, it was supplied with sport exhaust, rear challenge grille, yellow brake calipers and Scuderia shields on the wings. This car comes with a very good service history:-26.07.2000 pdi Maranello Ferrari Egham22.06.2001 @ 6,269 miles Carrs Ferrari Exeter Major Service22.07.2002 @ 13,417 miles Carrs Ferrari Exeter Major Service09.09.2004 @ 23,112 miles Graypaul Ferrari Nottingham14.10.2006 @ 27,063 miles Ferrari specialist22.03.2007 @ 30,345 miles Ferrari specialist Major including belts and new clutch27.03.2008 @ 31,891 miles Ferrari specialist18.05.2009 @ 34,276 miles Ferrari specialist08.08.2010 @ 36,497 miles Ferrari specialist including belts07.10.2011 @ 37,730 miles Ferrari specialist05.11.2012 @ 39,690 miles Ferrari specialist05.09.2013 @ 44,850 miles Ferrari specialist06.05.2014 @ 45,320 miles Ferrari specialist including belts17.04.2015 @ 47,972 miles Ferrari specialist29.06.2016 @ 48,488 miles Ferrari specialist22.12.2017 @ 50,490 miles Ferrari specialist21.05.2019 @ 51,166 miles Ferrari specialist GTO Engineering who carried out major service, replaced the cambelts, rebuilt the gearbox, replaced the front upper and lower ball joints and renewed the rear lower ball joints and suspension bushes at a cost of £20,000.
