1974 Triumph GT6 Mk. III Transmission: manualMileage:20910A fastback Spitfire powered by the 2000 saloon's two litre, six-cylinder engine, the GT6 arrived in October 1966 with production running until 1973. Like the Spitfire, it inherited what was essentially the Triumph Herald's chassis and running gear which had already proved capable of handling six-cylinder power when developed for the Vitesse saloon. A comfortable ride was considered vital for the all important North American market so the GT6 inherited the Herald/Spitfire's softly sprung rear swing axle although the latter arrangement would be superseded by lower wishbones on the GT6 Mk. II. At the same time the engine received a power boost courtesy of the TR5 cylinder head and 'hotter' camshaft, maximum output increasing from 95 to 104bhp. The restyled, last-of-the-line, Mk. III adopted the contemporary Spitfire's simpler 'swing-spring' rear suspension. Brisk performance (100mph+) and stylish, the GT6 well deserved its 'mini E-Type' sobriquet and today, is one of the most sought after post-war Triumph sports cars with only 13,042 Mk. III examples manufactured.Originally registered on 13th February 1974 this truly unique GT6 has been with the same owner since that date and due to being garaged its entire life and Ziebart treated from new is in stunning original condition throughout having covered only 20,910 miles. The lady owner purchased the car from new after falling out with her estranged husband who had similarly just purchased a new sports car; the purchase was impulsive and, although used initially, the car swiftly became a garage queen. It remained stored inside in a heated dry environment until around 2010 when the son decided to have it recommissioned, obtain an MoT and use it for local shows and days out. Millstream saw to the items required and since then the car has been maintained and on the road with the history file showing MoT certificates and invoices for servicing work. Today the car is possibly the best original GT6 you will find; a true time warp example and we are informed it starts and drives well every time the key turns. A rare sight on UK roads now, this is a genuine investment opportunity to acquire this unique car with low mileage, one owner and in superb condition. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

1973 Jensen Healey Transmission: manualMileage:84462The Jensen Healey was designed in a joint venture by Donald Healey and William Towns with Jensen Motors and it was hoped that Healey could help to contribute the sense of style that made the Austin Healey a hit. Jensen looked to Lotus for the power plant as they had a new, untested engine available, thus all Jensen Healey models came equipped with the new 1973cc Lotus 907 engine. This multi-valve engine has a claim to be the first to be used in a 'mass produced' car with a setup producing approximately 144bhp and a top speed of 119mph and accelerating from 0-60mph in just 8.1 seconds. This attractive Jensen has benefitted from a comprehensive restoration and some well thought out enhancements to the body. The car now has a much sleeker front end, a revised and more impressive rear light section and the whole car has been completely resprayed. The photographic history of this is present in the history file. The seats have been upgraded to Cobra Le Mans Heritage reclining seats and the black trim complements the cars bright red paintwork. The striking looks of this Jensen are matched by the impressive history folder that accompanies it. The file contains 22 previous MoT test certificates including the current one which, although this car is exempt by virtue of its age is valid until May 2022. There are also servicing bills which in the last three years total over £11,000 and the V5C registration document, an original owner’s handbook and the manufacturer supplied sales literature. Considering how much fun they are to drive, the recent servicing history and the extremely reasonable estimate, this Jensen offers an opportunity that should not be overlooked.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 240

1979 Ford Capri MK. III 3.0S Transmission: manualMileage:93540Production of the all new Capri was started a few months before its debut at the 1969 Brussels International Motor Show. The early start to production gave the marketing team at Ford the opportunity to leave examples of its new model parked near the entrance to 150 railway stations and outside prominent buildings. The plan obviously worked as initial sales exceeded the predicted demand by 100%. The Capri bridged the gap between a traditional two-seater sports car and the family saloon. This new eye-catching fastback style car was both new in its looks and offered a wide choice of engines ranging from 1.3 litre to a 3.0 litre V6. The Mk. III version was launched in 1978 and with a facelift which included quad headlights and wrap around bumpers that offered a more modern shape and improved dynamics which naturally improved the performance and economy. Although the Ghia model was the best seller of its day, the 3.0S was and is generally regarded amongst enthusiasts as the most desirable model.Originally registered on 1st August 1980, this stunning Capri is finished in the great colour combination of black with period correct Carla cloth interior. Subject to an extensive restoration which included taking care of all the bodywork, interior trim and an engine rebuild. This 3.0S is superb in every way; turn the key and fire up the three litre Essex engine and you are immediately greeted with the familiar sound of this great power plant. We are advised on the road this car drives as good as she looks, the manual gearbox operating smoothly and efficiently through the gears. Supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate valid until 22nd February 2022 together with a substantial history file including receipts for the restoration and engine rebuild. A perfect opportunity to own a British iconic classic, which is expected to appreciate over time.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

1964 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda Transmission: automaticMileage:50380The Mercedes-Benz W113 roadsters, designed by Paul Bracq, were produced from 1963 through to 1971 and were known as the 'pagoda roof' SL. All models boast an inline six-cylinder engine with multi-port fuel injection. Rear-wheel drive configuration was complemented by independent rear suspension, a feature that greatly improved road handling. The 230 SL made a remarkable debut at the prestigious Geneva Motor Show in March 1963 where the famous German engineer, Fritz Nallinger introduced it as follows It was our aim to create a very safe and fast sports car with high performance which, despite its sports characteristics, provides a very high degree of travelling comfort”. Early or pre-September 1964 cars had a vertically mounted spare wheel that recessed into the spare wheel well on the left hand side of the boot. After September 1964, Mercedes-Benz did away with the wheel well, instead lying the spare wheel horizontally, compromising boot space commonly thus early cars were known as ‘drop floor cars’ which are desirable especially for those touring and wanting the extra space.Sold at auction by Historics to Pagoda restoration specialists in March 2020, this early ‘drop floor’ or vertically mounted rear wheel well, UK supplied, right hand drive matching engine and chassis car has had an interesting last 24 months. The result of a bad debt, it was repossessed by the bank (Santander) before being offered by Historics having been stripped and readied for restoration with some £10,000 spent in preparation. A specialist in Pagoda restorations, saw the potential in EYY 323B and set about a full nut and bolt restoration with circa £30,000 spent on the body alone which included sandblasting, four new lower corners, floor and boot plan before beautiful paint was applied. Due to health issues of the owner, the car was sold by Historics, partially restored, earlier in 2021 before being purchased and completed thus now offered as a fully restored example.Presented in Ivory with Midnight Blue leather trim, the engine has now been recommissioned and the final touches completed with new shocks and suspension components fitted, as such this is a wonderful right hand drive 230 Pagoda. HPI records reveal four previous owners and importantly, that it was registered in the UK from new, making this a factory right hand drive example which is particularly desirable; especially with the mileage which is believed to be correct. UK supplied Pagodas are selling well in excess of this attractive estimate, so we believe this represents fantastic value in such condition.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 244

2006 Bentley Arnage T Mulliner Transmission: automaticMileage:64000The Arnage T can lay claim to the title of world's fastest saloon, needing all but the last two spots on its 170mph speedometer. It is powered by another version of the 6.75 litre Rolls-Royce, V8 engine but treated to what Bentley described as 'the most thorough re-engineering of its life'. Other changes included the adoption of a 'drive-by-wire' throttle to go hand-in-glove with Bosch's Electronic Stability Program which replaced the Red Label's traction control. But what really gives this nearly three-ton car its immense poise is a revised suspension that features 57% more roll stiffness than the Red Label. The car's basic structure is also 10% stiffer which means there are no creaks and squeaks of the sort that distinguished previous generations of Bentleys. This stunning and very well specified Arnage with rare Mulliner spec rear window is presented in Metallic Tungsten Grey with black cross stitched Mulliner leather. Boasting its last main dealer service in 2017 after a service with main dealers since new this Bentley was also serviced in 2018, 2020 and April 2021 by specialists MCS Prestige and M. Willis with a no expense spared philosophy. Extras include parrot telephone upgrade, fridge, five cut glass crystal glasses, two decanters, and picnic tables, head rest TV ‘s with RF headphones with an upgraded stereo and amplifier with DVD player. Bentley umbrellas can be found in the boot together with luxury overmats and it is also supplied with the original book pack, two keys and Bentley trickle charger with built in connection point. The Bentley Arnage is fast becoming recognised as an outstanding car to drive offering superb value for money and this 451bhp example is no exception.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 246

1977 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Transmission: manualMileage:29464There are many ways to introduce an Alfa Romeo Spider; oblique references to the academy award-winning film ‘The Graduate’ with Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft, its superb engine, its roots tracing back to 1910 and in continuous production, in one form or another since then or the significant element it has contributed to the world’s motor racing history from the Mille Miglia to modern Touring Cars. During 1970, the Giulia 105 series Spider was updated with many improvements from its predecessor including such upgrades as a new drag reducing Kamm tail, bigger brakes and a limited slip differential. All Spider models were offered with, as standard, five-speed gearboxes, disc brakes all around and twin cam engines with four engine options; the 1.3, 1.6, 1.8 and as offered here, the top of the range 2.0 litre model. This Alfa Romeo was originally delivered to South Africa and has recently been imported into the United Kingdom. Following its arrival, a comprehensive recommissioning of the car has been undertaken. Works undertaken have included new brakes, servo, shock absorbers, exhaust pipe and radiator. This mechanical work is complemented by a new set of Michelin tyres. The work has been completed by a knowledgeable enthusiast who tells us that this car is a joy to drive. This right hand drive 5 speed example presents well in dark blue with a black interior and a black mohair roof. We are also told that this rust free example maintains good oil pressure. Offered to auction with a V5c registration document and a new MoT test certificate this Alfa Romeo will surely put a smile on any drivers face.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 248

1955 Morris Pick-up Transmission: manualMileage:77379The Morris Minor was a British economy car that made its debut at the Earl’s Court Motor Show in September 1948. Designed under the leadership of Alec Issigonis, over 1.3 million examples were manufactured from 1948 to 1971. Initially available as a two-door saloon and convertible, the range was subsequently expanded to include a four-door saloon in 1950, and a wood-framed estate, the Traveller, plus the panel van and pick-up variants in 1952.This charming Pick-up was registered in 1955 and is presented in silver with a cream interior. This rare early split screen Morris Pick-up has been subject to an extensive restoration and presents very well indeed perhaps better than when new. During the refurbishment, which is photographically detailed in the history file that accompanies this car, the body was stripped and repaired before a full respray. A new canvas cover was made and fitted, with further works including a side exhaust and general servicing. The vendor states the engine starts on the button it pulls well and is leak free. This Pick-up is presented to auction with a V5C registration document and MoT certificate until August 2022.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 251

1975 Triumph Stag Transmission: automaticMileage:82290The ‘Stag’ name was a development codename allocated when the design project was initiated by Giovanni Michelotti in 1965. None of the subsequent names suggested through the process were ever deemed more compelling. 55 years later the Triumph Stag occupies one of the cornerstones of the collector’s car market. The svelte Michelotti styling married to decadent V8 power makes this model both beautiful to look at and enormous fun to drive. Add to that a thriving club network, makes for hugely desirable ownership.Registered on 1st February 1975, this privately entered Stag is finished in the rare ‘Topaz’ colour scheme with black interior and comes with its original factory hardtop and hardtop stand. Our vendor purchased the vehicle from Historics in September 2020, it was entered by the previous owner who purchased the car in January 2019 as a ‘Condition 1’ vehicle. JBN 370N had been subject to a bare metal renovation for which there is a dedicated colour hardback book in the history file photographically documenting the work. However, the then owner, in search of perfection, also commissioned Stag Specialists E.J. Ward Motor Engineers, in September 2019, at a cost of £5400 to rebuild the engine fully with the addition of uprated oil pump. Trevor Farrington Ltd refitted the engine along with the refurbished automatic gearbox and, over a 13 month period, the car spent most of its time at their workshops receiving further various improvements, including uprated radiator, electric water pump conversion, new steering rack, brakes, driveshafts, alternator, premium tyres, headlining, sill covers and a host of other refinements. All in all, the cost for this work amounted to over £34,500 on top of the cost of the aforementioned engine rebuild and the owner’s not inconsiderable outlay for the car in the first place. Consequently, the car wanted for very little and was reported to drive as if new, although possibly with greater reliability. Since its purchase in 2020 however, during the pandemic personal reasons have meant that this car has remained in a professional storage facility and our vendor is now selling the car in the same condition as when offered just a year ago. There is a substantial history file accompanying the car which covers the majority of its life and includes the original Triumph Passport style Service booklet. This represents a very rare and tempting opportunity to own one of the best Stags in the country.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 253

1990 Jaguar XJS Convertible Transmission: automaticMileage:45228In 1975, the Jaguar E-Type finally gave way to an all new and more efficient Jaguar, the Jaguar XJS. This new luxury grand tourer, although never quite having the same sporting image as the E-Type, was actually more aerodynamic with the final example leaving the production line on 4th April 1996; at that stage 115,413 units had been manufactured during a 21 year production life. Power came from the Jaguar V12 engine with a choice of a manual or automatic transmission although the manual gearbox was soon dropped. V12 engine cars were unusual at the time with notable exceptions coming from Italian luxury sports car makers Lamborghini and Ferrari. The specifications of the XJS compared well with both Italian cars; it was able to accelerate to 60mph in 7.6 seconds and had a top speed of 143mph.This Jaguar was originally registered on 22nd March 1990 and presents in delightful condition. The Signal Red coachwork is unmarked as is the Magnolia interior. Having covered only 45,228 miles from new and with a good service history, it is clear that this has been a very well cared for motor vehicle. Recent servicing has been thorough with no expense spared and has included inner and outer track rod ends, track rod boot covers, a new rotor arm, a new window motor, four new rear springs, four new tyres and a full service, a new distributor cap, high performance ignition leads and spark plugs, a new battery and the air conditioning has been re-gassed. Turn the key and the V12 engine started immediately. Following the recent expenditure, we are advised the car drives with no known faults and the electric hood works exactly as it should. Supplied with a V5C registration document, a full years MoT test certificate and the original service books. XJS Convertibles have been increasing in value of late, a low ownership example such as this, together with low mileage and in fabulous condition makes this a highly desirable Jaguar.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 259

1963 MG B Roadster Transmission: manualMileage:98728Conceived in the late 1950s and launched in 1962, the MGB would turn out to be one of the most successful sports cars of all time. Attractively styled, cheap to run and easily maintained by the home mechanic, the 'B' carried on MG's traditional role of providing affordable, sports car motoring for the ordinary enthusiast. The MGB was mechanically similar to the preceding MGA, though with a heavier, unitary construction bodyshell. To compensate for the newcomer's increased weight the existing B-Series engine was stretched from 1,622 to 1,798cc, while the MGB's aerodynamically efficient lines made the most of the maximum available 95bhp to achieve a top speed which just bested the magic 'ton'. A 'right first time' design that changed little over the years apart from the adoption of a more robust five-main-bearing engine in 1965 (fitted from the start of GT production that autumn) a minor facelift for 1970 and the adoption of plastic bumpers (to comply with US legislation) for 1975, the 'B' enjoyed an 18 year production life and sales totalling in excess of 500,000 cars. Its popularity remaining undiminished today, the classic MGB is one of the easiest sports cars of its era to run and maintain in the 21st Century, being served by a worldwide industry of spare parts and service providers.Registered on 1st February 1963, this MGB was previously treated to an extensive restoration in 1990 and has more recently been sat unused in our vendors garage. Presented in white over a red leather interior, this MG is offered in need of further renovation work although we are told the engine turns and the body is solid. Presented with a soft top, tonneau cover, UK V5C registration document and offered to auction without reserve.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 260

1986 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL Transmission: automaticMileage:90400The 560 SL convertible was the latest in Mercedes-Benz's long and much loved line of luxury sports cars. Launched in 1983 it could trace its lineage back to the 230 SL of 1963. The 560 SL was powered by a 5.5 litre, overhead camshaft V8 engine producing 227bhp, an output good enough for a top speed of 220kmh with 100kmh reachable in around eight seconds. There were improvements to the running gear in the form of anti-dive, anti-squat rear suspension, a limited slip differential and revised steering geometry. The 560 SL has a high level of standard equipment, included leather upholstery, anti-lock braking, an anti-theft alarm system, stereo radio/cassette, leather trimmed steering wheel, gear lever and an improved climate control system. This flagship Mercedes-Benz R107 is presented in Arctic White with matching hardtop and contrasting red leather trim and soft top. This example originally delivered to the USA was imported to the UK in 2018 and is described by our vendor as in good condition having benefitted from a recent full service with new brake discs and pads before the wheels were shod with four new continental tyres. Benefitting from an MoT until August 2022 and a good history file this is a great cost effective roadster perhaps perfect for that trip to the continent or holiday home or perhaps just taking advantage of that 5.5 litre Mercedes V8.Price Guide £12,000 - £16,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 267

1963 Triumph Herald 12/50 Transmission: manualMileage:36688Standard-Triumph launched the Herald in 1959 as a replacement for its ageing Standard 8/10 models. It bucked the trend towards monocoque construction by featuring a separate chassis to which the main tub was bolted. The one-piece front end folded forwards to provide optimum access to the engine and suspension, while all outer panels, including the roof, could be unbolted for easy repair. The design made for the ready adoption of alternative body styles and saloon, coupé, convertible, estate and van derivatives were all offered during the models 12-year reign with production numbers exceeding 300,000.Presented in British Racing Green and having been owned by our vendor since 1992, this lovely privately owned example was fully restored between 1993 and 1999 and the history file contains all the details and photos of the ground-up restoration, beginning with a new chassis in 1993. Starley Garage, Brighton (grandson of the original Star Motor Company, Wolverhampton 1898-1932) performed the majority of the restoration culminating in a total body respray. We are informed the car is always garaged and has covered only 4,000 miles since the initial restoration and is regularly used on sunny days and fully maintained with no expense spared. Described as mechanically extremely sound with a new blueprint Rimmer Bros engine fitted in July 2002 and with only 3,300 miles completed since, multiple upgrades carried out at this point included electric cooling fan, halogen conversion headlights, heater overhaul, replacement gearbox, differential overhaul, new twin carburettors and fittings and twin stainless steel exhaust system. Boasting a full Webasto sunroof, all internal seats and black carpeting are in excellent condition with the addition of new door and window rubber seals. The respray is now over twenty years old and the paintwork requires some attention but that is reflected in the guide price. A full list of all purchased items, continuing maintenance items and upgraded, fuel, brake and engine hoses are included. The car has excellent tyres and spare. This is an affordable, practical everyday classic, running on unleaded fuel and is easily able to keep up with today’s traffic conditions.Guide Price £4,000 - £6,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 268

2000 Nissan Silvia Varietta Transmission: automaticMileage:114600The S15 versions of the Silvia boasted 247bhp from its inline-four engine, thanks to a turbocharger upgrade and engine management system while the non-turbo SR20DE produced 163bhp. The body dimensions were reduced from the previous generation so that it would comply with Japanese Government compact class. The model line-up was initially simplified to just the Spec-S and Spec-R, both models offering an ‘Aero’ variant with a large rear wing and side skirts/valances. This generation of the Silvia was only sold in Japan, Australia and New Zealand but was available as a grey import in most other countries. In Japan, Nissan offered a retractable hardtop variant of the Silvia, called the Varietta. The Varietta was built by Autech,a subsidiary of Nissan, and was based on the Spec-S model, featuring the same naturally aspirated engine, with a choice of the five-speed manual transmission or the four-speed automatic transmission. This is a rare type of Nissan Silvia which is uncommon in most places as only 1143 cars were produced. This example, presented in metallic blue, is one of the very few Varietta examples that can be found on these shores.and was imported by our vendor for his wife incidentally also named Silvia in 2016. With one lady owner since import and a record of all maintenance, this S15 also has a heads-up display which provides the speed in mph. This two-litre automatic example comes with the SYL cherished number plate and boasts leather trim with heated seats and is described as in good condition throughout. With an agreed insurance value of £9,500 this is a rare and interesting sports car offered without reserve. Guide Price £4,500 - £6,500Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 270

1977 Mercedes-Benz 450SL Transmission: automaticMileage:76000Introduced early in 1971, this impressive two-seater sports car replaced the 280SL. The body and chassis of the third generation Mercedes-Benz SL was considerably heavier and longer than its predecessor but still showed a resemblance to them. The 3.5 litre, V8 engine underwent slight modifications to those being used on other models and the gear shift lever was placed on the floor in the centre of the car. The standard transmission provided a top speed of 130mph and a very respectable 0-62mph in 8.8 seconds. As with the previous generation SL's, the vehicle came as an open roadster with removable hardtop and went on to become one of the longest running styles from Mercedes-Benz. A range of engine size were available, one of the more powerful and rarer was the 4.5 litre unit.Originally delivered new to California in the USA, this example was imported to the UK in 2019. Now presented with a modern grey paintwork and contrasting but original leather trim and matching hardtop. This example has clearly seen some restoration works over the past 18 months by the previous owner which includes fully painting the car and some bespoke trimming coupled to a new rear box on the exhaust and additional sound deadening and carpeting. This restoration was fulfilled by the then owner rather than professionally, but the current vendor states the car runs and drives very well however it would benefit from some further finishing touches as the air conditioning is not currently functioning and there is a crack in the rear hardtop screen. The car is offered with three sets of keys, an alarm and MoT test certificate with the only advisories relating to the US specification lights. In this colourway, this Mercedes is a handsome example and priced at a ‘get in and go’ level not professing to be a garage queen, but a usable enjoyable classic offered without reserve.Guide Price £9,000 - £14,000 Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 272

2005 Mini Cooper S Works Transmission: manualMileage:23202The names Cooper and Cooper S are the names used for the sportier version of the classic Mini, which in turn come from the involvement of John Cooper and the Cooper Car Company. The Cooper heritage is further emphasised with the John Cooper Works (JCW) range of tuning options. The John Cooper Works company also created a higher specification model of the Mini Cooper S, the Mini Cooper S Works. It has a higher volume exhaust and air filter, and uprated brakes and suspension, and different 17” wheels from the S models. This striking Mini Cooper S was prepared and customised prior to delivery by the legendary F1 winning John Cooper garage. It is one of the few prepared by them over a six-month period prior to the model being launched as a factory option. The impressive list of options were commissioned by the owner at a cost in excess of £12,000 and include carbon fibre spoiler, boot handle, handbrake and steering wheel inserts. We are told that this automatic Mini is tremendous fun with its upgraded suspension and engine tuning and responds well to the paddle shift gear change. Perhaps more importantly we are told she also stops well with the addition of an upgraded big brake kit. With the combination of a custom paint finish an exclusive interior, one owner and particularly low mileage, this Cooper S offers an extremely rare opportunity for any prospective buyer. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and a valid MoT test certificate, viewing is highly recommended.
