Six-character seal mark of Daoguang to base in underglaze blue. 13.5cm diam.Small fault to foot rim. Minor rubbing to gilt rim. No signs of repair. One faint 1cm line in the glaze vertical from rim.

A CHINESE CARVED COQUILLA NUT BOX AND COVER, A CARD CASE, AN ENAMELLED BOX AND OTHER ITEMS. The nut box carved with Shou symbol and lotus flowers, the card case densely carved with figures and willow, the rectangular enamelled box and cover with Shou symbol on a green ground decorated with pink flowers, a Chinese brush-pen ink or seal pot, a carved soapstone dog-of-fo seal and a peach-shaped mottled brush-pen washer. (6)The small soapstone seal with chip to corner of base, chip to edge of card case, very small chip to underside rim of cover, minor, peach-shaped dish with some surface scratching. Some minor wear throughout.

The paintings in gouache on rice paper, comprising: a rectangular painting with an artist or scholar decorating shells at a table before attendants and figures, another with a figure and attendants, the third depicting a family group with a baby, 27cm x 14cm max. the beaker of flared form, decorated with Shou symbols, lotus and scrolls, late 19th/early 20th century, blue seal mark, 7.3cm high (4).All are well painted. The first (with artist or scholar and shells) with large loss to rice paper top right and small further losses, the other with small tears and losses, the painting with the family with large dark brown stain to top right, loss to bottom left of paper, some discolouration overall. The tea bowl with minute rim chip and associated hairline crack, with another minute rim chip and hairline crack.

With apocryphal enamelled blue Yongzheng four character seal mark, with gilt elephant terminals, decorated with magpies and other birds perched on rockwork and in flowering trees, with chrysanthemums, the reverse with black enamelled script poem, flanked by three seals, within ruyi, lappet and floral red-ground borders. 40cm high Overall in good order. One elephant with restoration and regilding to two tusks - one of tusks possibly refixed at time of manufacture. Very slight wear to gilding to elephants.

Comprising a table stand for ink and pens, decorated with various figures in garden scene; a cylindrical brush pot decorated with lady standing next to a table, a square form seal pot and cover; a brush rest with scroll ends; together with two further pots and covers similarly decorated. Tongzhi period (1861-75). Ink stand 16.5cm tall. (6) Shallow chip to rear right side edge. Otherwise all in good overall general condition with no signs of repairs. No major damages. General wear to surface from use and age.

A Chinese porcelain 'Lotus' vase, 19th century, of globular form with cylindrical flared neck, decorated in blue and white with flowering lotus sprays, iron-red seal mark to the underside, 41cm high CONDITION REPORT - Tankard - six chips to the rim and descending long hairline crack. Star crack to the base, numerous chips and frits to the base rim. Surface scratching and wear to the decoration throughout. Handled basin - numerous chips and frits to the rim, extensive hairline crack from the rim, through the handle section and into the body where it splits into two. Firing cracks to the base. Surface scratching and wear to the decoration throughout. Bowl - Large chip to the rim and descending hairline crack. Decoration to the interior and the exterior very worn throughout.
A pair of Chinese porcelain blue and white boxes and covers, Qianlong seal mark, each circular box painted to the cover with two scaly five-clawed dragons chasing a flaming pearl, amidst an abundance of clouds, the lower body decorated with lishui waves, recessed bases with blue seal mark, each 13.5cm diameter, raised on carved wood bases (2) CONDTION REPORT - Both boxes and covers are in good order, no cracks, chips or losses. No obvious signs of restoration or repair. General scratching and wear throughout, commensurate with age and use. The stands show a few knicks, moderate scratching and wear throughout commensurate with age and use. No splits or signs of repair.
