Age: 20 century Description: A yellowish tan Chinese Yixing stoneware teapot and lid. Bamboo-shaped with relief applied and carved bamboo leaves to the lid, as well as bamboo-shape handles and spout. Cursive calligraphic inscription with branches on one side and landscape with an inscription on verso. Base and inner lid both impressed with a 4 character seal type mark. Age: Qing Dynasty Description: A very fine white jade plaque carved with undulating scroll patterns at the top surrounding a pierced hole for suspension. The face carved with a prunus blossom using a technique of light incise work. The reverse with a poem carved delicately with skillful calligraphy and two seal marks. The whole in a white stone of fairly even colour and a consistent polish throughout. Size: 2 1/4", 5.70cm. Provenance: New York home, acquired in 1960-70's. Condition: An old white jade pendant with calligraphy appears to be in very good condition, there is a slight flea bite on the edge of the side with calligraphy in the bottom left corner next to the square seal, other than that, there are natural fissures and inclusions in the stone with other very small flea bites polished down on the outside edge possible. Chinese 19th century soapstone seal of square section carved with dragon, good luck symbols and incised landscape decoration, seal to base, 5.5cm x 9.5cm

A Chinese Red Cross Sichuan Branch Medal, with embossed pewter body with painted Red Cross framed by leaves, the reverse with an inset silver seal character marks, suspended by a red silk ribbon.

A Staffordshire red ware teapot and cover of Elers type, circa 1760/80, with cylindrical body, turned with undulating bands and foliate scroll capped moulded handle, impressed pseudo Chinese seal mark to base. Height 10 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Teapot lid has a very small chip to the rim but appears to be free from any further chips, cracks or flaws. The teapot spout has very tiny nibbles around the rim almost invisible to the naked eye however visible if viewed under a jeweller's loupe. At some time in its life the teapot spout has been broken off near the body and has been reattached. There are no further obvious flaws, cracks or chips visible.
