A GOOD QUALITY CHINESE WHITE OVERLAY GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE & STOPPER, decorated to one side with a rooster and to the reverse side with an eagle attacking a snake, the same side with an artist's seal and a raised Qianlong seal mark, the decoration reserved on a pink bubble suffused ground, 3.3in high overall.

A Chinese blue and white 'Lanca-Character' stem cup: with flaring body and waisted stem, painted with eight Tibetan characters amongst scrolling lotus flowers and foliage, the interior with a floral medallion, the foot with pendant jewelled tassels, horizontal Qianlong seal mark, 13.5 cm high [damaged].* Provenance: acquired at Christie's South Kensington in the late 1980s in a mixed lot. The intention was to fully restore but subsequently only cleaned and re-stuck.
