Two Chinese inverted baluster vases and covers, moulded seal marks to both, each moulded in relief with flowering branches, largest 28cm high. (2) Condition Report: The yellow ground vase appears undamaged, however there is a manufacturing fault to the inner rim of the cover. The blue ground vase has chips to both vase and cover rims.

Devotion to the general and scholar, who died in 220AD, grew over time and reached an apotheosis in 1614, when the Emperor Wanli bestowed the title "Saintly Emperor Guan the Great God Who Subdues Demons of the Three Worlds and Whose Awe Spreads Far and Moves Heaven".
A PAIR OF CHINESE SOAPSTONE SEALS, 20TH CENTURY square with one side rounded off, carved with dragons amidst clouds, the seal faces pictogram carved, 7.5cm high; together with a jade bangle, circa 1966, plain pale green, 8cm diameter (3) These seals and the bangle were presented to Captain Wadim Taniewski sometime between May and September 1966, when his ship, the M.V.
