A pair of famille rose blue-ground 'medallion' bowlsBearing Daoguang seal marks but laterThe exterior enamelled with three identical scenes inside medallions of Zhinü the weaver girl and Niulang the cowherd riding a buffalo all amongst magpies and clouds and against a blue-enamelled Sgraffito ground with cloud scrolls, the interiors painted in underglaze blue with a similar roundel of the Weaver Girl and Cowherd to the well surrounded by ruyi-shaped cloud scrolls and four further birds on the sides.each 14.6cm diameter and with wood stands all contained in a silk lined box (5).Footnotes:Footnote: The bowls celebrates the Qixi Festival, also known as Magpie Festival, which falls on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month on the lunar calendar. A GOOD CHINESE TWIN HANDLE BRONZE CENSER WITH CARVED HARDWOOD LID & JADEITE FINIAL, the censer with twin moulded fish handles, the cover carved and pierced with lotus design, the finial carved jadeite in the form of a lotus growth, with a carved hardwood stand, the base with a seal mark, overall 20cm high x 19.5cm wide.
A HUGE & HEAVY CHINESE 19TH CENTURY BRONZE LIDDED CENSER, the censer stood upon three lion dog mask and claw feet, with twin raised handles, the cover with a model of a lion dog and ball, the sides carved and pierced with archaic design, the base with a four character inset seal tablet, 81cm high x 58cm wide.
A Chinese celadon vase, relief moulded with figures and clouds and with impressed pseudo Qianlong seal mark to base. Height 22 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The vase is in generally good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. We can not see any chips or cracks. The interior of the base of the vase is discoloured. This should be visible on our images.
A Chinese porcelain figure of Hotei, mid 20th century, in seated pose wearing a floral decorated robe with blue border, impressed four character seal mark for Fujian Club (Fu Jian Hui Guan), and a further four character seal mark, seated upon a carved hardwood stand with Ruyi head feet. Height excluding stand 17 cm, including stand 23.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The figure is in generally good order. We can see no evidence of any damage, no repairs and no restoration. There is some minor rubbing to the gilding on the beads beneath the left hand but other than this we can see no issues. The accompanying wooden stand should have five legs. The right hand leg is missing and there are now only two at the back and two at the front. It is however stable and in our opinion not a significant issue.
A Chinese blue and white dish, Qing dynasty, the centre with lotus and fronds and with three stylised dragon heads, the exterior with lotus flower and scrolling fronds, with six character Qianlong seal mark. Diameter 19.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The dish is in extremely good condition. There is no evidence of any damage, no repairs and no restoration. There is a small firing imperfection to the top lip but other than this there are no issues. The yellow marks to the underside are from old labels and will wash off.
Two Chinese porcelain vases, Republic period, one depicting two ladies in a garden landscape, one seated reading the other standing with a fan beneath Ruyi head and diaper borders, stamped four character Qianlong mark the other depicting two females beside a pine tree and rock beneath Ruyi head and blue coloured diapered borders, pseudo stamped six character Qianlong seal mark. 19.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: One vase is in good order with no condition issues. There are no restorations, no chips and no cracks. The second vase does have a loss to the top rim which should be evident in our image. Other than this the vase is in good order.
