There are creases running throughout the work, some of which are consistent with folding. There are a few small areas of soiling along the work; however, due to the fibrous nature of the paper it is difficult to discern the characteristics of the paper from possible light soiling. Toning surrounding the red seal stamp. Framed under glass; light accretions along the surface of the glass and light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.

Fang, and by him to a Teaching Officer at The University of CambridgeThere is significant brown staining situated in the left section of the paper, with signficant creasing also found throughout the composition. Brown markings can also be found throughout, but mainly in the upper right corner. There are no visible signs of rips or tears. The paper has yellowed consistantly. There is also some warping to the board and frame. The seal mark can be found mid left section (additional photo provided). A professional restoration and clean would be recommended.

It looks to be that the paper was previously mounted due to the inconsistancy to the discolouration. As expected, there is a large square area which is darker/discoloured due to this. There is also a large horizontal crease in the top section which stretches end to end widith wise. The colour pigment has darkened due to the paper discolouration, but there are some areas which has retained fairly well, mainly the red pigment. There are no visible signs of tears or rips, but visible vertical crease found at the upper section close to the sheet border. A professional clean would be recommended.

Sung Wen Chi (Chinese 20th century) Yangste Villagesignature and red seal, black ink and watercolour on paper65 x 43cmExhibited:Coventry, Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, Modern Chinese Paintings From The Haffkin and other Collections, July 11 - August 9, 1964, cat. no.27The watercolour is in a fairly clean state, with some visible marking found in the upper left and right corners, with a visible previous mount line. The red seal mark can be found in the mid left of the sheet border (additional photo provided). The colour pigment has retained fairly well with some colour fading to tge blue pigment. There is also slight discolouration to the paper which is mostly visible in the top section. The silk fabric is in a clean condition with some minor marking found in the right mid section. There are no visible signs of rips or tears to the paper. Finally, next to the seal is a possible residue from an external substance, which measures 3mm.

Five early Republic (1910-1920) Wu Jinhe famille rose square porcelain tiles, the lots to include three tiles depict a scene of a seascape, figurines, boats, two depicting a scene of herdboy and buffalo. Embossed "Wu Jin He Zao" seal on reverse. Measures approx. 13cm x 13cm x 1cm. Note: Reference sample from V and A Museum East Asia collection accession number FE.7-2014. The tiles were made in a kiln called Wu Jinhe in Chaozhou, Guangdong province, China. Martin van Straaten, a Dutch tile dealer in London, imported Chinese tiles until their quality deteriorated in the early 1920s.

A pair of Chinese Canton famille rose porcelain vases, mark of Yongzheng but mid to late 19th century, each ovoid body moulded in relief with a band of six arched panels filled with scenes of immortals, reserved against a ground of bats and vapours, the flared narrow neck with opposing panels of black text and red seals, flanked by elephant mask and ring handles, beneath a lobed rim, iron red enamelled pseudo seal mark to bases, heights 31.9cm (minor faults).
