A quantity of decorative Chinese ceramics, 19th and 20th Century Condition Report: 269:Hat stand overall good.Large bowl and cover, chip to handle of cover, scratches, interior has firning flaw, hair crack and star fracture.Cantonese style tureen, cover and stand has some wear to enamels.Tazza has minor chipping to rim and foot and two short hairlines to rim.Bell has chip to tip of finial.One of the famille rose seal paste boxes has star fracture to cover.Otherwise generally good.
A Chinese export silver pencil holder, Wang Hing, decorated a dragon, a Sterling silver money clip, an agate handled desk seal, pen knives, propelling pencils etc. Condition Report: Large propelling pencil has crack/chip to cornelian seal end. Smaller penknife has slightly bent blade. Agate handled desk seal has cracked matrix. Other items generally good condition.
A Japanese carved ivory netsuke, Meiji period (1868-1912), modelled as a tradesman carrying a hammer, signed to underside, 5cm high, with, Chinese porcelain relief snuff bottle with Qianlong seal mark to underside (at fault) 7.5cm high and a carved variagated green hardstone group of two carp swimming, unmarked, 8cm high (2) CONDITION REPORT: Please note: Trevanion & Dean does not ship items containing ivory outside the EU. A large Chinese carved dark spinach jade seal, 19th / 20th century, of near square section surmounted with a recumbent kylin, the seal itself reading Ban Ta Qin Shu ( Half bed of my zither and books ), two of the sides with archaistic calligraphy including part of the scripts from the Madhyamagama in Buddhism, further calligraphy to the other two sides, the front face with seal mark reading 'Made in the Qianlong period', 11.8 x 11.6cm, 13cm. high.
A Chinese late Qing famille rose porcelain tureen and cover, two handled, with stand, painted with two sailing ships in iron red, black, blue and red amongst pink and gilt sprays within iron-red and gilt scrolling foliate borders and similarly coloured handles, 15in. (38cm.) wide, seal mark ground-off base. (3)
