A large 18th/19th century Chinese blue and white baluster vase with taotie mask ring handles, painted with scrolling lotus sprays and foliage, Qianlong seal mark to base, height 51cm, raised on a good 19th century Chinese huanghuali square form jardinière stand, the sides well carved with birds amongst foliage, the top inset with rouge marble, raised on cabriole legs united by four stretchers upon which sits a carved toad, diameter 46cm, height 63cm. CONDITION REPORT: Some fritting around the ring handles and some around the rim and a little around the foot rim, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.

A Chinese porcelain enamel decorated yellow ground wig stand, the upper spherical section with four circular reticulated panels and with various painted dragons amongst clouds above a lotus topped stem with four pierced legs to an orange glazed floral gilt decorated base, gilt Daoguang seal mark to base, height 28cm. Provenance: This wig stand was purchased by the vendor's father from a country house sale in 1953 and has remained in the family ever since.
