Two Chinese blanc de Chine cups, one with a handle and moulded with three flower sprays, the other moulded with flowers above a band of lotus petals and with a seal mark, together with a famille rose small bowl, painted with lilies, carnations and butterflies and with a six character Yongzheng mark, c.1700 and later, all with damage, 8.6cm max. (3) Provenance: from the collection of Anthony Ray (1926-2009), ceramic historian.
A pair of Chinese wucai hexagonal dishes, finely carved with rockwork and painted with flowering peony branches, leaves and grassy sprays, the rims with a brown wash, each with a four character seal mark fu tian xia taiping (happiness and universal peace), Chongzhen 1628-1644, 14.5cm. A Pair of Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Bowls, Qianlong (1736-1795), of flared circular form, each externally decorated only with five leaf and fruit roundels punctuated by pomegranate motifs, a repeat band of ruyi heads to the basal rim, each with seal mark of Qianlong, 15.4cm diameter, each pasted internally with old paper label inscribed John Hext in ink Together with old pen and ink written label with inscription Tell Sir John the reading of that mark on his two bowls is "Made in the Chienlung period of the great Xing Dynasty. This fixes their date as being between 1736 and 1795".

A Wedgwood black basalt ewer, painted in the Etruscan style with a Classical maiden seated on a rocky outcrop and holding a dish in her outstretched hand, the tall handle issuing from a female maskhead, impressed mark, c.1790, and a red and black stoneware coffee pot with pseudo Chinese seal mark, the coffee pot`s cover lacking, 24cm max.
