Chinese famille rose vase painted with courtly figures, height 24cm; pair of archaic style vases painted with warring factions, height 21cm; cup, cover and associated stand, seal mark of Tongzhi; compressed globular famille rose box and cover, diameter 9.5cm. Condition report: vase - professional restoration of neck. Pair of vases - one neck rim chipped. Cup and cover - no chips or cracks and they may not match; the stand has a rim chip and does not match. Box and cover - minor rim chips or frits.
20th century AD. A rectangular paper panel on a fabric backing with wooden roller; painted scene depicting Hai Liu seated on the three-legged toad in a landscape with flowers, holding up on of the gold coins which he uses for bait; panel of calligraphic text and on red chop seal; attributed to Chou Ying. Property of a Kent, UK collector. Chou Ying, (1494-1552), was a Chinese painter who specialized in the gongbi brush technique. He painted with the support of wealthy patrons, creating images of flowers, gardens, religious subjects, and landscapes in the fashions of the Ming dynasty. He incorporated different techniques into his paintings, and acquired a few wealthy patrons. His talent and versatility allowed him to become regarded as one of the Four Masters of the Ming dynasty. The three legged toad is known as Jin Chan, which means golden toad in Chinese and is said to appear during the full moon, near houses or businesses that will soon receive good news, usually in the form of wealth. 583 grams, 199 x 53cm overall, image 78 x 34cm (78 1/2 x 20 3/4"). 20th century AD. A mixed group of framed original artworks comprising: a watercolour of Skeyton church, signed J.R. Bradley with artist's label to the reverse; a watercolour of poppies in a field entitled 'Summer' signed 'APW' with label to the reverse for Anne Paterson Wallace; a signed and numbered (329/3000) watercolour print of a Chinese bowl and spoon by Hung Mei Yee Clara with chop seal and artist's label to the reverse. Property of a retired Harwich collector. 1.4 kg total, largest: 33.5 x 28.5cm including frame (13 1/4 x 11 1/4"). [3, No Reserve] Fine condition.
20th century AD. A hollow-cast rectangular bronze seal block with high-relief designs of opposed dragons to three sides, rectangular panel with ornament and four reserved characters to the front; to the underside, a reserved block of six Chinese characters and two lines of cursive script; the handle formed as a dragon surrounded by lingzhi fungi grasping a pearl supported by two dragon-heads. From a central London collection formed between 1990-2000. 1.7 kg, 18cm (7"). Fine condition.

A group of four white-glazed plates with Chinese motifs comprising: central scene with horseman and attendants, chop seal and silhouette jar to the reverse; central scene with robed figures and cherry tree in blossom, similar reverse; four scenes of birds and chrysanthemums, chop seal to the reverse; orange flowers on a field of blue leaves, deckled edge, signature to the reverse.
