† A RARE CHINESE GE TYPE CONG SIX CHARACTER QIANLONG SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1736-95 The archaistic body moulded in shallow relief with trigrams to the corners, beneath a thick pale grey glaze with dark grey crackles throughout, one side pierced with two pairs of small circular holes, possibly for suspension, the splayed foot with two slotted apertures, 29cm. A RARE CHINESE PORCELAIN RECTANGULAR PANEL BY WANG YE TING DATED 1922 Depicting a lone figure on a bridge in a mountainous landscape, crossing towards a small village, and with an inscription which reads ren wu dong ten yi yue wang ri de zhuang ren er ya zheng di Liang Jing Sheng zeng (given as a gift by Liang Jing Sheng to his brother), together with a red seal mark, the artist’s signature to the reverse, 43.2cm x 26cm. Provenance: an English private collection. This panel was formerly mounted as the surface of an occasional table.
A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE SAUCER DISH REPUBLIC PERIOD Brightly enamelled with five shou characters encircled by stylized dragons and with a continuous lotus scroll, all reserved on a pale green ground, the rim with a wide band containing beribboned Buddhist emblems, the reverse enamelled yellow and with a six character Qianlong seal mark, 18.7cm. Provenance: from the collection of Major Beale-Brown (d.1965), who was stationed in Hong Kong with the Royal Army Service Corps c.1935.

An unusual resist-decorated ko-sometsuke Bowl, Tianqi (1621-1627), the centre with white blossom and an insect, the octagonal well with lobed panels, the notched everted rim with stylised waves, illegible square seal mark, probably based on shou, within a single ring, minor frits, 21cm This bowl would have been used in the Japanese tea ceremony for sweetmeats and, interestingly, the Chinese had, here, copied the Japanese use of a single ring on the base, rather than their double ring, clearly indicating that it was made for the Japanese market. 明天启 蓝地留白梅花图撇口碗
