A Chinese porcelain tile, enamelled with the poet Tao Yuanming (363-427) standing holding a bamboo staff upon which is attached a flowering prunus sprig, at his side two young acolytes carry prunus spray and gourd on staves. Signed and with calligraphic inscription, 42 x 27cm in plain hardwood frame. Condition Report: Seal broken. Some wear to paint, especially on grass and young people's clothing.
