Scandinavian burr wood tankard, late 17th Century, cylindrical form, domed lid, press-moulded with spear and dog motif, figural thumb-piece, moulded handle, the feet designed as four mythic creatures, 28cm.Condition report:The lid doesnt have any cracks in it, some small chips around the rim of the lid and minor damage to the finer beading, the lion thumbpiece perhapd missing a coronet or some small insert from the top of the head, the lid/hinge connection point is good with two pins through the lid, the hinge works and is sound, minor age split, top handle joint to the body is a little loose, and does not sit competely flush on the outside, handle is otherwise sound with a couple of old chips to the carved scroll at the base of the handle, small old defect to one side and old repaired split, the feet sit level on a surface and are intact and sound apart from wear with age, the sides of the tankard are sound and not split/holed.

The replay was played at Old Trafford, 22nd March 1978, with Forest winning 1-0. Steve Elliott was no.12 substitute in the replay fixture. .
Three items of 19th century ceramics, comprising a Royal Doulton green glazed earthenware tankard with inscription, impressed marked to the base with '1853' 16.5cm high, together with a salt glazed stoneware vessel with a metal rim, depicting hunting scenes 16cm high and a Wedgwood Jasperware twin handled vessel with cover 9.5cm high, impressed makers marks to the underside of the base (3)
A GEORGE III SILVER MOUNTED COCONUT TANKARD the carved body decorated with fruit and leaves within silver rims and scroll handle surmounted with a fish; chased band to the centre11cm highIn very good overall condition. No damage to the silver other than the band on the base is slightly bent near the handle and there is a very fine split to the body just below the top silver band running down approx 3cm. There are no signs of restoration.
Four Silver pieces. To include a Tankard assayed in Sheffield 1931 by Viner's, Cigarette case assayed in Birmingham 1956 by Fredrick Field and Napkin ring assayed in Chester 1920 etc. Total weight: 340g. All items tarnished. Napkin ring makers marker unclear and pickle fork hallmarks unclear.
