An Edinburgh silver tankard, 1820, 232 grams. Height 10 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Generally very good condition. There is one small dent to the foot rim but no visible repairs, damage or restoration. The tankard is inscribed with initials J G H. The hallmark is legible but slightly rubbed.
A late 18th century blue and white tankard, with loop handle, height 14.5 cm, a Worcester coffee can and a blue and white tapering cylindrical vessel, height 8.8 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The bowl shows signs of use, scratches etc. to the interior and is generally in good order. The coffee can has a large chip to the rim approximately 10 mm in length leading to a crack which leads down to the bottom of the can in two directions. The tankard has a number of chips to the rim, the largest being approximately 4 mm wide there is also a crack to the handle and most noticeably a star crack to the base which runs in four directions, the longest going a third of the way up the tankard.
A Chinese export famille rose tankard, Qianlong period (1736-95), decorated in polychrome enamels with figures beside a lake with boats, within underglaze blue borders depicting various creatures and diaper rim, dragon handle, 4¾in. (12cm.) high; together with a famille rose saucer; and a Kangxi style blue and white wine cup, decorated with auspicious objects, 3in. (7.5cm.) high. (3) * Condition: - Tankard: Restored chip to rim and corresponding long hairline crack. Decoration good.- Saucer: 1in. hairline and several glaze chips to rim.- Cup: Good condition, with no damage.
